I pulled silage wagons for a neighbor and drove his 706. I would wait forever for the gears to stop moving when shifting gears, while all along John Deere had synchronized a transmission in their tractors. You could shift from reverse to 5th gear immediately on a 4020 and head for the silo and be half unloaded by the time the IH came in from the field.
Good day Boy 1 thing that really caught my eye was the dump rake. I thought that was alot older, not being used any more. Dad had one, it was good to go after baling & clean up at corner. Thanks for showing. I also thought it would be 460 & them, not 504.
Wow this the the best buyers guy equipment video yet! Do to the IH 530 plow on page 19; that’s new for 1963! There’s a Nice Re-painted 530 3 bottom plow coming up for sale at a local auction, I wanted for my 544 Hydro utility. But I wasn’t sure if it was a true IH plow model? But I do, thanks for the help Farmall51 🫡
@@farmall51 I believe it’s an awesome source of information of IH history for use young guys who don’t know about plow models from the 1960’s, but love to start collecting anyways!
1963 was definitely a transition year for IH. Just after this was published, the new 706 and 806 tractors came out. Although there's nothing wrong with the 560s and 660s, especially the 1963 models, the 706 and 806 are better. But you can see the new and old both in the book. Unfortunately, the newer the book, the thinner it is.
51 up until the rear end problems was the golden years of IH or the peak I guess. After that they never held the top spot in the farm equipment industry
@@farmall51 I want to find one just to put in my IH collection I shouldn’t call it a collection I should call it a shrine because that’s bout what it is 😂😂

Hit a tough spot in the field plowing and with the 706 you throw back the TA and pull on through. Synchro you lose all momentum.

Wow thank you for the nice compliment. I hope you enjoyed it. It takes a long time and editing to put the buyers guides together. Thanks for watching

We had a 63 560 diesel. We had no rear end problems. It served us well.
Anyone else having problems with it being blurry and really hard to read?
Seems clear on this end.
Thanks
These look so cool I wish I could find one
Lots of goodies in this guide I'd love to have.
@@farmall51 oh yeah I ment the guide but either way
@@MaclearieFarms yeah the Early ones are hard to find. I like to have never found 60 through 65.
