Liz I would give good money for some bright green nicksana plants. I’m not as bothered about variegation tbh. I don’t have many succulents that give that lovely colour and definition. They are delicious. Only got Leticia that is similar that will grow just indoors in my home. I do have a 10 head stem of Aeonium Lilipad which looks similar and it finally seems to be growing. I love your videos like this. Xx
Echeveria Semnan is very similar in looks to Nicksana which I believe could possibly be the same plant. Maybe you can get this. Will keep in mind the format of this video. Thanks!

Well.. I have some in clay pots and they're getting rain from outside. Its been rain almost everyday 😩 I bring the jade and ghost inside...my crassula are doing great!
You can use a lot of other rocks for top dressing or into the soil (mineral rocks). But for me, I have access to granite for free. This is why I use it plus; Decomposed granite is an Igneous rock that contains a lot of other rocks/minerals in it. When it decomposes naturally, can release all the minerals goodness contained in this rocks/granite into the plants and they seem to love it.
I envy you with all your plants . Maybe you can show me how you setup the room or space to properly take care of the plants . Where do you buy decorative pots or odd shape ones ? Do you use shade clothe , shade , or just sun for growing all your plants ?

I pluck the Laui leaves from an Inflorescence or flower stalk. Left it on an empty container. Forget about it. A few months later, baby emerge and then plant on coco peat. Transfer to my Master soil mix when they overgrow the coco peat container. Not all leaves grew babies. Only 40%.
Love the pudgy. Oh my it's glorious- sing with happiness-it's tune has a high pitch la la laaaaaaah glorious, wonderful, beautiful plant. Come on now, we all sing with glee when our succie babies look so darn cute!!

I live in Zone 10b and the struggle for me is real. 9/10 of my props dont prop! lol i know you have an instructional video on how to make it but I have no confidence. Also, yours grow so large! Yes, they need fertilizer. Unfortunately, selling my soil mix is too much work for me and I have to get a commercial license and go into full production which at the moment is not in my plans. Cheers

I would just repot them as one and let them thicken up naturally. When big enough, you can easily take cuttings and they grow quite easily as long as you keep them on the dry side.
Baby succulents every two weeks with liquid fertilizer. Mature in pots once a year with Pellet Fertilizer or slow release and once a month with liquid fertilizer incorporated with watering if I want to have babies. TAKE NOTE....Some succulents don't like fertilizer at all so have to be aware which ones do and which ones don't.

omg I didn't know variegated succulents shouldn't be exposed to the sun! from growing non-succulents plants, I thought a lack of sunlight is a major reason that plants lose variegation...if you wet the soil in the k-mart basket, how long does it take to dry? many people are telling me I need to blend soil to get dry up within 3-4 days.
Depends on the location and the season. Here in Canberra, Australia, If we don't get rain during winter, I won't be watering these plants for 3 months till spring time when the weather warms up or if the plant shows sign of needing watering.

In my experience, an ideal soil mix should be free draining which mean when watered, water should pass through easily but at the same time able to hold moisture to provide nutrients for the plants. Where you live, the succulent you have, your growing spot or location(indoor or outdoor) and the pot or planter used, will dictate the soil mix you'll need to use. If the plant is kept nice and plump before the temperature goes above 30°C, the ones with thick leaves in my care have gone over 2 months without a drop of water.
Most succulents don't need much soil to grow. The growth size is proportionate to the size of "ANY" container used. I personally, don't like using tin cans as they can rust which is not beneficial to the plants. The video below might be able to give you more info on pots I used for succulents and why. Hi Liz, what is the id of the front echeverias in your thumbnail video please? One pot has only one yellowish echeveria and the one to the right has a few in it and I think they’re the same kind? Leaves are pointy with orange edges. Thank you!!
The big yellow one is Echeveria agavoides Victor Reiter Variegata and the small one with pointy leaves on the left is Echeveria agavoides Martins Hybrid. The one on the right in blue pot is Echeveria Hoveyi variegata.
I have plenty of little succulents. How can I identify the names of them to label them? They are hard to "describe" to Google as many have only small differences I am stuck in ignorance! I know only a few easy names from my schooldays but no more. 🙃
Unfortunately, it's difficult to ID a plant when they're small. Have to wait till they're a bit older and if possible flowering. This will make it easier to ID. Where it's grown can also help or make difficult ID. Otherwise, best researching online stores by looking at different photos of succulents for ID. Thanks for watching.

I get mine from a friends property not open to the public. You can get Maifan stone online. It's also decomposed granite. I use Seamungus by Neutrog in my soil mix and I fertilize with Powerfeed liquid seaweed in Spring through summer. I also Apply Seamungus once a year on older pots.
I don't water my succulents when it's over 30c. If I have to water them because they're really dry, I bring them inside where it's cooler and soak them for days tills they're fat or had enough to drink. Please check out my WATERING PLAYLIST VIDEO. How long is a long time Liz, several weeks or months? That variegated rose like plant is gorgeous!!!
From a month to five months is the longest I haven't watered my succulents.

Depends on the succulent. Some succulents can take or love sand like lithops and sedum as an example, but a lot of them rots because of the sand.
