Today I was on a call with my friend and I regressed. My friends don't know that I'm a regressor, and I have never told them because my mom shames me for something i can't control. I was so stressed that I started crying and whining and my friend got so uncomfortable that they hung up. I couldn't do much to calm myself down after that so I just laid in bed and listened to music.
I've gained a reputation as the "quiet kid" so i don't get asked to talk often and i started bringing stuffies to school. And now other people are starting to bring stuffies too!

I started playing at 6-7 years old. Nobody knew what was going on so I just tried to fake it for until class ended because P.e was my next class. I try to remain silent because my vocal pitch goes really high and I can't speak normally because grammar and I was born with 2 speech disorders.
I understand this on a personal level. About a month or two ago I found out I was a regressor and hid it from almost everyone I know. I regressed in school before and was very uncomfortably snapped out of it because of the same reason. It's best to try and ignore them and get back to the headspace if you want. Yeah this is the struggle...and when I regress I start fidgeting and then i get in trouble for fidgeting even though im in the special ed classes and literally everyone else has fidgets and doesnt get in trouble but when i do it it's distracting, or the teacher will call on me and I either have to try and talk without messing words up (i cant pronounce r's when regressed D:) or just stay quiet and get in more trouble...and if we have a sub they always call me by my deadname even if the teacher has my real name written on the attendance sheet, and all my teachers misgender me, it sucks

A tip for regression at school! Keep a small fidget toy or stuffie with you and make sure you have a friend who can back you up without telling the world you age regress!
Thankfully this has only happened to me twice, before I got rid of the toxic friends that were in my classes, now all my friends in my classes know I regress and are super supportive and helpful☺️

@@raeomiet538 no it's perfectly okay! i understand feeling sad and lonely when you regress/try to regress, i feel that too sometimes :( just know someday, you'll be able to get a caregiver, even if that day is far away. you could try to find places online that are about/accepting to regression in the meantime! some people in those places like to babysit/caregive to people, but not full-time. you'll still get the care you want without actually having a caregiver (just be careful)!
