- Today, I'm showing you how I tackle a page FULL OF LEAVES from Johanna Basford's Magical Jungle adult coloring book. These pages full of different kinds of leaves can be intimidating to make them all look different, yet cohesive, so today I'll take you through my process for tackling these with color and technique.

Very helpful and made me want to buy the book. Color me disappointed, however, that you didn't color one of each flower in the video. Your finished page is stunning. I would have loved to see your technique and colors on the ones you didn't show in the video.

I can't believe how much time I spend watching folks colour! I never knew it was so much fun to learn new techniques for colouring ... I am learning so I can illustrate my own calligraphy. Thank you .. I didn't know there were so coloured pencils sets either... I am working on my collection now! I guess I don't NEED them but oh my it's so much fun to try different types and brands.

I’m with the others that have asked about the purple leaves and the purple and green leaves. Would have loved to see you do those. Why are they not shown? How is this a color along if you color without your audience that is following you? A bit irritating. Sorry, but was looking forward to doing the page WITH you.
I love with your method! So, the purples, I cannot find how you did those leaves? Was it cut off in part I? I need colors! :) And I can't figure out what colors you used the inside of the small flowers with the indigo leaves. I know I should try to come up with my own, but I can't. I'm obsessed! Thanks

On the Bird of paradise plant where you start with blush pink top half and then go to process red for bottom half.....you mention that you are using MAUVE.....What color is that in the prismacolor premium pencils??? Love your work!!

Hi thAnk you for sharing your beautiful creations. Can I ask a question? When I am colouring with prisma pencils I always end up with a shiny finish what am I doing wrong I love colouring but this finish puts me off.
It’s called a wax bloom. You can try not adding as many layers or using a lighter hand. I’ve seen some people use a hair dryer to warm it up and then use a q-tip to smooth over the top layer and it clears up a bit!

Your pencils are always so sharp! What pencil sharpener do you use? Love your teaching method.
Linda Joy I'm not sure what she uses but any sharpener with a crank (the old fashioned ones) should work great for getting a point. I esp love the Derwent sharpener and the Dahle 133 which I own.
It's funny, I actually don't use anything special. It's a small simple one I got free with a colored pencil set years and years ago and its just the best one I've ever found. I swear I get little, to no, breakage with my prismacolors because of this simple pencil sharpener
