Hi, it’s hard to tell with the pics but I think you may be pegging the wrong part of the tape on the corner tensioner. The peg point is an under loop with the long tape with the loop in the end is for pulling to tension. There are other vids on here explaining it, I did the same thing and struggled too, just trying to help. Hope your vehicle isn’t too expensive, glad no one was hurt.
I know what your talking about and mine is missing the other loop to peg and has no tensioning strap, I looked it over and can't see it, this tent is the 2020 version I dont know if they took it off or if its a manufacturing defect that was overlooked ,but yeah its seems odd that its not there and that you can't tension it

Get a replacement window from a Breakers yard, it may be cheaper.

Lol the windows covered by insurance we just have to wait to get into the glass shop but its really backed up
