I wanna do this because it’ll be cheaper than getting a professional to do it but those headlights are expensive to replace if I mess up and so are the lights
I did the same way that you did and the problem is how did you prevent the condensation in your headlights. My headlights shows light moisture inside. Any advice please?
dont take them apart in the first place lol, but seriously once you break that factory silicone you will never get it as good as it was. im too scared to do this and im pretty good/confident with doing most of my own mods usually. watching this video made it even worse for me, just not worth the trouble and to risk imo to risk having leaky headlights. what a nightmare
I need help. I sealed my headlights with Morimoto Retro and my headlights are now fogging up fully when there’s rain or its a humid day. What should I do? Ideas for the cap? I assume I did it right... i drilled a hole through the back cap and pulled wires through and used high temp silicone to seal the cap hole. By the cap I mean the white cap on the back of headlight that you twist on and off.
Hi, alex, I am jose from spaña, I have a mustang of 2016 and I would like to install led tribars of dynamisc diode, but there is a problem, how long it takes to have the lighthouse in the oven and how many Cº you need to be able to open without damaging anything, If you are so kind to tell me I would appreciate it since I see that you do it perfectly, thank you and greetings from spain
Leo Santoyo I would give it about a week. It's not going to get really hard. I recommend this incase something goes out and you need to reopen your light. It won't so difficult to reopen them for any reason.
Excellent video. Very detailed steps. Doesn't make it look any easier though. What a process. Wish someone could just do it for me.
Jori Atkinson same here man I've been shopping around and every shops given a estimate of atleast $350-$550 just for labor
Thanks for this video. I just finished mine and they came out great.
Scott Wilson are they still working fine? No problems?
They'll be full of moisture in no time. What about sealing the big hole you made for the wiring harnesses to pass through?
would it be easier to heat up a metal spatula with a torch and cut through the glue? kinda feel sketch about putting my lights in the oven
Dante Hooks I heard a heat gun works also
@@bruce2636josie do not use a heat gun.... doing that now and its fucked....
An oven is the best method , stay away from broil is my only tip
awesome video, just wondering if I fed ex my headlights to you can you do them for me and how much would you charge?
Thanks for the video.
I'm going to do that work tomorrow, I hope everything will be ok
Wow what a long process. Good job man!
could you send us a link on the connection of the electric cables please

The demon are workin after 5y ?
Great vid man! Will for sure do this myself now
Could you please tell me how you connected the lights to the battery?
I would never do that to a set of good headlamps, list price is over 1200 each.Diode dynamics should sell them already made up.
some companies do, but as you said, theyre $1200+. these kits are like $300 so thats why ppl do it, but i agree, terrible idea

Came here from your insta. Thanks for the vid.
thanks! hope it helps.
What did you run the power for them from
Are your diode dynamics lights still working fine?
I'm doing this now and to the point of opening up the front door and toss them across the road 🤣
I used that exact silicone bottle color and everything and it's been two days and it still feels soft. How long did it take for yours to cure?

I been looking for a video or instructions of wre to place the boxes and wires. Can you help?
Jonathan González send me pictures on Instagram of what you need help with @alex.s550
I am having the same issue as Jonathan, curious if you could refer where you wire tapped / placed the remote box? - @alexturner_3.7
Would a heat gun be enough to loosen the adhesive and just work your way around?
Fun Guy no, you will damage your headlights too much. A oven heats everything evenly.
at 32:30 were you putting on more silicone on the outside of the housing when you were putting the light back together?
yes just to be sure it's sealed. I add more as needed.
I think a heat gun will a lot easier to pry it open. That’s a lot of work not to mention time.
Do not use a heat gun... doing that as we speak and not going good.
did you have to take of the front bumper to install those?
Iram Moreno yes
did you use the control box to power the demon eyes?
itachi3nisan yes, I connected it to the battery to test everything.
How did you seal the hole the wires went through?
silicone
James Anderegg did you just fill the hole thing?
hopefully, if not he will definitely have condensation accumulate in them
Where are u located?
What kind of wheels are those?
Ferrada FR3
Dude a lot of work
Lmao can't wait to paint mine 😈
Hey man! Nice video! Got an Instagram i can follow you on, I got some question bro?..
HELL NO WAY TOO MUCH WORK
ROBBIE SilentHiLL if your passionate about ur car you’ll do it
no one knows how to use a power screw driver or tools to make the installation easy.
