Nice work, but those camo straps look pretty thin. I think Ancra straps are the best one can get, and you won't find these at Harbor Freight, Home Depot or Lowe's. Remember, good straps are much less expensive than a new paint job. Also, I'd pad those straps where they wrap around the forks and swing arm; you'd be surprised at how quickly a strap running over a sharp edge can wear through.
I have a video on oil change and cleaning the chain and checking adjustment, I will add chain adjustment to my list of videos to make thanks for the suggestion. ua-cam.com/video/y21LaLUXI60/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/dImm7hL32ls/v-deo.html
How much space did you measure out between the chocks? I'm inspired by your videos! Gonna build it this weekend. :) Going to Lowe's now to get the 5x8 trailer!
I measured 23 1/2" from inner bolt hole on the left chock to the inner bolt hole on the right chock. hope that helps don't forget to subscribe thanks for watching.
You only need a little tension on the straps, I have towed my Z900 around 6,000 miles since making this video and I have had no issues. I like this way better than compressing the suspension. Thanks for watching.
Bar straps will work fine, I prefer not to load the suspension for long periods. I haven't had any issues other than tires wear out on the trailer. Thanks for watching.
Need to run strap over triple tree or the folk brace so you are compressing the shocks, keeps the front from bouncing. I hauled motorcycles for years around the country.
Hello Simon,🙋🏻♂️ any idea how to clean the inside of the headlights ... recently after installing the leds on my z900... I kind of didn’t install the dust protectors properly...🤓... 😁..
@@Gtknoob It should work but you would need to rinse alot and then dry it. I did find this video of using a magnet. ua-cam.com/video/hnZ1yRL5yFY/v-deo.html
Nice job 👍 🙏 thx for Sharing!

Thanks for the tips!
Nice DYI Trailer you have. If i were you, I would look at investing in Pitbull Trailer Restraint System so you never have to use straps again.
I dream to have them one day. lol. Thanks for watching!!
Hey simon. could you please make a video on how you change oil and a video about chain adjusting?

Is t safe to pull on the fork legs with straps like that?

Could u use handle bar straps? I've never seen someone strap on lower forks and swingarm... any.problems?

Both ways work, I don't like compressing the shocks on long trips. Thanks for watching.
Compressing shocks with electronic suspension. Good way to buy some new fork seals. This isn't 1975....😅
Did you add the wood to make a platform or did it come like that?
Nice vid. What size is your trailer?
5x8
Thanks
Do you bolt those wheel chocks down?
lol I should but I dont.

Is it dust or water? If its dust you could try a shop vac or blowing air into the headlight. If its water you could dry it out in the sun.
Simple Simon it’s dust,, tried blowing it out ... didn’t work that well.. was thinking of pouring a bit of water with detergent... will that be ok?

What kind of trailer is that?
Hello, what is your trailer size? I'm loading a ninja400 & a zx-10r side by side, will a 5feet*10feet work? thanks!
Mine is a 5X8, a 5X10 should work. Thanks for watching.
