Awesome walkthrough. I was able to get it up and running. I however have run into a really bad bug, where the game crashes if I try to go to any territory north of the Duty base. Walking crashes, fast travel crashes. New spawn crashes. Everything south, east, and west of Duty, 0 issues. I am doing a clean install of Anomaly 1.5.2 then adding Expedtion and hope this solves whatever the bug is that wont let me proceed north. Wish me luck!
I hope everything works out for you, I'm getting the same crashes too. I'm sure the devs will fix this problem eventually, this sort of thing happened in the last version of the game when they so called updated the patch.
@CyanSaberKnight so far so good. Except when I fight the military in cordon and when I destroy the helicopter the game crashes, and when I head to Red Forest. Other than that, it's a win!
Great video...I really like to see information that helps people out with the other great modpacks in this game. I like expedition because its the vanilla experience with great graphics.
I really want to see what mods you recommend for this version of the game.
My favorite modpack is really GAMMA at the moment...but I am really having a blast with EFP's story warfare mode and it has some great features.
Awesome thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed. I have modded Expedition to the fullest of my ability, took about 2 to 3 weeks. I have lots of weapon mods and quality of life mods that all work without any crashes or issues. I still have to list saved on my hard drive. If you are interested in me doing a video on it I will just let me know.
That would be awesome...particularly if you end up messing around with the grass please let me know...because I can tweak the rest of the look color and lighting wise (since they are using SSS) but the grass is terrible...it looks like a field of seaweed drawn with crayola crayons. I bet its probably for performance reasons why they are using is but oof...
@@dougquinn9705 🤣🤣🤣 This updat crashes my game I have to stick with 2.2.1. But I'm sure the mods will still be compatible with the updated version of this. I will make a video on all the mods that work soon ok.😉

This modpack is insane but is there a way not to display hostiles on the minimap as well on the pda's map ? Because i can see where they are are and it makes the game so much easier and predictable ?
That's strange, I guess I probably didnt notice that in my tutorial. Idk why they would do that assuming you didn't add that mod in yourself. My only solution is to download mod configuration menu mod and see if there are any mods you can disable that pertains to the hostiles showing on minimap, that the devs put in. If not there really isn't anything you can do because if its not there, it's hard coded into the modpack by other means unless you know how to code and all that stuff.
@@CyanSaberKnight I'm just a stupid stalker... There's a debug setting to disable in the others tap which were activated on my side for some reasons... Anyway hope that'll helps others with the same issue !

Downloaded and installed it the exact way you did for the 4th time now. Unfortunately its unplayable.using the bandage makes the game crash, entering army warehouse crashes the game aswell and so on and so on.
Im just gonna wait for Stalker 2 or the next patch i guess

There probably isn't because Expedition is a customized modded pack itself. Might cause conflicts, You can try to add one using mod organizer to see how that works. Kind of sucks they added some mods that some people wouldn't like. I think they should have worked more on the environment, physics, Gunplay, and graphics, Then leave the mods up to the player to add. Would definitely make Expedition more popular in my opinion.
know this video is old but do you know what mod is the animations one? I want to disable it to stop the crashes but have no idea which one it is. Thank you in advance, amazing video!
In tour options menu go to Visual, Player and you should see item usage animations. Just unhighlight it and you will be good to go 🙂

@@jdcarmine5829 I fixed the Animations crashing when using items, just download Mod Organizer 2 and download and install FDDA (Food drinks and drugs animations mod through Mod Organizer and the game wont crash when using item animations.

Yeah someone said they got past this by turning off item animations. Seems to be the only way to get past this give it a try and see if that works.

Hello sorry for my bad english, i'm italian, so i followed the instructions and downloaded the EXPEDITION 2.3 mod from torrent, according to the instructions then copy the bd folder present in Stalker Anomaly, and so i did, it overwrote, I added Overhaul gameplay graphics mod andgraphics, did I do everything correctly?the mandatory patch is not found, maybe it is included in the torrent
If you can start the game and play it then it is included, I have accidentally tried playing without the patch and the game crashed on startup. I have used Torrent before for other games, from my knowledge everything should be included in the file no need to download anything else, unless there are instructions telling you to do so on the web page.
@@CyanSaberKnightOk, in the installation instructions, it is written to copy and paste the db folder present in Anomaly, so I installed anomalous Stalker 1.5.2 and copied the folder as instructed, the game does not crash, I just have to set the video settings correctly, i reshade and Xpadder for which the keys ofhotkey conflicts, with the Xpadder profile for this game, otherwise 60 fps fixed at 2k.
I never tried downloading the torrent for Expedition, so as long as you don't have issues with the base game you did it correctly. The graphics Overhaul, and xpadder thing I don't know anything about, whatever is conflicting I'm not sure what to do about that.
@@CyanSaberKnightThe graphics boost patch works, the xpadder profile is nothing more than the keyboard commands on the control pad that works too, but i have to disable the windows key combinations, which is seen to coincide with the game commands on the pad, thanks for the answer, this mod isspectacular looking forward to STALKER 2

Yes it is, i have over 100 mods, but beware some mods can permanently break the game even when the mod is deleted. So i highly suggest making back ups so you don’t have to start all over modding the game.

Yo bro if you could help me that would amazing. Efp and gamma microstutter for me too bad (tried literally everything). Even built a new pc 3060ti, 5600x and cant seem to get rid of those microstutters in the bigger mod packs. Base Anomaly however runs very smooth and I wanted to try some better graphics so I tried expedition and followed your tutorial. Runs really good only thing is when I turn on animations and try to heal my game crashes and says something about missing an animation. Any tips?
Yeah they all stutter at times EFP and Gamma does that even Anomaly at times which is normal because its spawning enemies and such, you can see it in the debug menu and it tells you what the game is doing. Another thing I learned is that sometimes red text will appear in the debug menu usually caused by mods it can also cause stutters, sometimes it does that without mods on certain modpacks which isn't your fault but the devs fault. The text will usually say missing footstep sounds and various things like that, i even had it where it says missing music files which wouldn't play when roaming the zone caused by mods i added of course. but EFP and Gamma doesn't have those issues by default but additions could cause that but I never seen that adding mods from my experience, they are the most stable modpacks out there. I have been modding various stalker games for weeks on end non stop and found that some mods even when deleted can permanently break your game. Causing crashes on startup and so on, so when modding be sure to make backups so you don't have to start over. it could also be that graphics are set too high as well, especially the grass settings in terms of density, height and especially grass shadows. It's very performance heavy, as for Expedition your not the only one dealing with crashes when turning on animations. I would say go back to version 2.2 if you still have it, or play without animations. I guess from here on out if there is an update for any stalker game make sure to keep your old version on a backup in case things like this happen. Expedition always had problems when they update their modpack, since Expeditions first release there was always various crashes and issues, even with updates, they tend to fix it down the line. I personally haven't played since I made the tutorial video because at first I didn't know what was causing crashes. Since it took forever updating the game from scratch I just didn't feel like doing that all over again.
@@CyanSaberKnight I’ve decided to just mod anomaly myself since it runs so well and expedition won’t work with animations I’ve added weapons and animations and simple things so far. Wish I knew some graphics mods though to make it look just a little better maybe. Do you have a community discord? Or could pm me somehow some good graphics mods?
I don't have a discord, but you can just hit me up on UA-cam on any video and I will answer your questions. I'm always on anyway, In terms of graphics mods there really isn't many out there. Graphics all depends on your advanced settings, and also Reshade makes a major huge difference. i know a few graphical mods one mod is called brown trees, it makes the base of trees brown which looks nice but keeps the vanilla leaves. i also don't use any grass mods or tree mods like autumn trees or anything like that it doesn't look right to me. The dead. Leaves and grass mod is ok, but I like the vanilla grass and trees for Anomaly and EFP. There is some environmental retexture mods, But one of them when turning on flashlight in some areas of the game makes the environment completely white in some areas, sometimes blinding. I Don't know if it's been updated but you can try it out, I took that off a while ago because of that. There are character retexture packs for all factions in the game armour retextured for all factions. I'm sure you seen that already playing EFP and Gamma. But other than that nothing really making the graphics better. If you are going to use Reshade I would say don't just download other peoples reshade, me personally when downloading other peoples Reshade they don't usually look like the screenshots they post. Plus they don't do too much in the reshade settings as they make it seem, I could make the game look way better than most. It's not all like that but a lot are, So be sure to play around with Reshade and learn all the settings yourself. Be sure to turn off performance mode in the Reshade so you can make all the adjustments with sliders. Then you could make any PC game you play graphically impressive, trust me when you understand Reshade vs just downloading others reshade you will see what I mean.
Be sure to use Mod Organizer when modding Anomaly i mean the one that EFP uses In case you didn't know, that's technically your very own modpack, others will cause conflicts easily with just 2 mods activated. Test the mods and Make back ups, because one mod can break your game permanently unless you start over or go to a back up. After you get a decent amount of mods that work make a back up. I made that mistake 😣 and damn near gave up on the game.
@@CyanSaberKnight yes using mod organizer and I also like vanilla grass turned up higher compared to those other weird super vibrant grass in other mod packs. One last thing how would I make a backup I have quite a few mods installed already and they seem to be working good.

Download Mod organizer 2, you can get it from Gethub here is the link github.com/ModOrganizer2/modorganizer-basic_games dont use any other ones this is the best mod manager out there the others will cause mods to conflict very easily. When starting Mod Organizer for the first time you will be presented with a tutorial you can click yes or no for it. But before that I say you should watch a video on how Mod organizer works first. It's nothing complicated, but just to explain where everything is. If you want me to make a tutorial video on how to use it for you so you can understand be sure to ask, I will have it up as soon as possible. Also If you have any more questions please ask.
Ledge grabbing works on this modpack?
I never ledge grabbed in a stalker game before, it’s not in this modpack by default, is that a mod addon you can get ?
I downloaded it through torrent but those default shaders are killing eyes. How do I disable it as HOME Key is not working for me
Download Reshade set the home key to toggle reshade and you can customize shaders and save your preset. reshade.me
Also what is the issue with the shaders ? is it too bright ? If so have you tried changing the brightness / saturation settings ? If so download Reshade you can enhance your graphics entirely. I use it for most games i play, there are tons of options you can change with sliders. If you don’t know how to use reshade there are tutorials on UA-cam.
when i start it gose completely black
HERES HOW TO FIX MOST CRASHES, so... example when i used bandage or ai2 etc etc it crashed, simple solution reinstall all the mods with mo2 eg i reinstalled FDDA and no more crash! yes its more storage taken but so far works great now
Just remember you can add mods on to this with mo2, But overall i wouldn't play expedition AT ALL right now its too buggy, its a great modpack but its seems that the creator didn't take the time to look into the bugs and issues

Nope your not the only one we all are dealing with it. I just went back to version 2.2 and or playing EFP until they fix this.

@@a.d.m.3988 You can try to find it online most likely you won’t find it on Moddb because they replaced it with the latest version but other than that idk.
What strikes me is it's just using the contents of the db folder from Anomaly and not even using it as a game base. The mod has it's own anomaly launcher. There doesn't seem to be any integration that links the main game to the mod. I bet you could now delete the original Anomaly game. If so you could streamline this process just by keeping a copy of the db folder.
for me the part 3 installation does not want to install it says internet problem over and over anyone know how to fix?
I had that problem too, it basically means that too many people are tying to download that same file. I just downloaded it the next day, you can keep trying, or you might have to wait maybe an hour or more then try to download it. I don’t get why it does that but i just kept trying and it eventually worked.

Yeah you should find it in the visual settings called depth of field.

How do you enter in this debug try the all weapons section ? I enter in frist section but what then?
1. Make sure when you double click your stalker application, look at the bottom left where shadow map is and make sure the debug box is checked Before starting.( 2. While in game look for a symbol on your keyboard it should be near the escape key it has a curvy horizontal line and a apostrophe like symbol on it. Press that key and the menu will pop up then look on your far right for the weapons etc then click it. Or you can press the number 3 key on your keyboard if I'm not mistaken.

I'm having some issues with it too my game crashes when I try to do the same thing. I just deleted it honestly. I would suggest you play EFP or Gamma a new update just came out for that. Or go back to Expedition 2.2.1

Looks like it's either EFP or Gamma which is miles better than Expedition anyway but I started my channel off with Expedition, 🙁 what a shame.

@@CyanSaberKnight I've been looking everywhere for 2.2.1 cause I factory reset my pc and when I booted it back up to redownload it this new update seems to constantly have missing or corrupted files.
I have no DB folder in my part 1 why?
Either the uploaders of the modpack messed it up which they usually do like the recent update they released and it bricked the game entirely. or you need to use 7zip to extract the files efficiently if you haven't because winwar sometimes don't extract things right and leaves files out. If any of these dont apply I have no answers on that because I dont play the Expedition 2.3 because my game crashes everytime I try to use a healing item. I recommend you play EFP that's the most stable and graphically impressive modpack out here if you haven't. Unless they really improve this modpack I would suggest not playing this one unfortunately.☹
Sadly the animations crash my game. Ive had awesome luck with starting from scratch, reinstalling anomaly and expedition. But the second I try to put use animations on (drink, eat, smoke, use meds) instant crash. I just play with it off.
Miss the animations it totally adds to emmersing you into the world. Oh well.
Glad you found a work around, I haven't even thought about turning the animations off yet. I was having the same issues here bit I already deleted the game. 😂 I will have to redownload everything, I'm pretty sure you solved the problem I haven't figure out.
@CyanSaberKnight hopefully 2.4 is around the corner. But honest opinion, I've only played in anomaly and OG S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Which route should I check out EFP or Gamma next?
@@TysonDBison Definitely EFP, its the best Stalker out here in my opinion. Also check out Gamma too, It just received a big update recently They changed the way you can start missions, you can look at the PDA and stalkers in the game will post request/mission that can be accepted from PDA instead of going in person. There are a ton more things as well, but EFP is my favorite by far in terms of graphics, mechanics, and also the effects that come out the gun when shooting. Be sure to look these up on youtube to see the differences.
Know this is old but do you know how to delete or turn off the animations? they keep crashing me too.
@jdcarmine5829 in the game settings there's a checkbox to to click animations (heal, eat, drink, smoke, open bag,) on or off.

Yes you have to download all parts. Part 1 is the game, part 2 and 3 are the textures animations etc. Tou have to put those in gamedata folder.

I tried searching it, usually called Localization mods. I only saw some for Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian, so far non for Portuguese. You can to search to see if there are any but I haven't found anything.
I downloaded it few days back. Lets see if all those bugs are present or not.
Yeah hopefully, but I noticed there are some red text when looking at the debug menu in game. Sometimes they appear when certain actions are made. Usually says things like textures missing and so on, have you ever had that problem or seen this before. ?

But I wrote a detailed list of number of bugs present in expedition :
Like detector unable to detect artifact.
Artifact not spawning in anomaly
Trader like haiwaan, beard has zero items in their inventory.
Crosshair when switched on, shows a mouse cursor.
Crash in arena. Etc etc.
So far , with the latest patch, artfact related bugs are fixed. I am testing the game for new bugs or existing bugs. The new version dof is worrying me. 😅
But a dude helped me in discord how to reduce or remove dof. He wrote the same in details in expedition comment section.
Btw I am seeing people playing this game with stalker 2 hud. When I switch on hud, mine hud is in black and white.
@@lordgallo4213 Yeah I noticed the majority of those bugs you mentioned. That sucks those aren't fixes yet. I thought there might have been a way you could turn off Dof in the settings because i don't like it either.
@@lordgallo4213 That's weird, you can get the Mod configuration menu mod and probably turn it off or replace that HUD with another hud mod. The mcm probably will bleed through the screen with weird colors with Reshade enabled making it hard to see. So I would suggest turning all effect of reshade off when in the MCM menu for everything to be legible.
mod organizer not need it or what ?
I use mod organizer if you want to add more mods. Any other mod organizer like JSGME is not really that great because they cause conflicts. But it's not something you need in order to play the game.
does the author of the mod have a discord?
Not that i know of, if so you could check the stalker expedition website and see if he mentioned it in the description.
How about on gamma?
Its been very long while since i played Gamma, i kind of forgot honestly, there are plenty of tutorials on UA-cam on how to install it. I will do a tutorial eventually, but it’s going to be much later down the line.
hey, love your video. Unfortunately this mod is kinda BS. There are all kinds of missing textures and meshes that make the game crash as well as missing animations. It will crash loading into new areas because there's a missing actor or mesh. I would wait til the mod author fixes a lot of these issues. And its a shame because its a very pretty addon pack. I just dont remember having these many issues with the original expedition addon.
Yeah i know, i been dealing with it too and many others, i would suggest sticking with 2.2 if you still have it, or playing the other modpacks until they update it. Whenever that is because it’s been forever since they did update it.
