I once saw a film about tractor units being left in the desert when the wars started out in the middle east, so, the unit got parked and just left for some years. eventually its owners got permission to go and collect it taking another tractor unit with batteries and tools to try and get it going, if not the solid draw bar to tow it back... They found the unit, dusty, untouched, unlocked, so after a quick look over it tried the keys to start it.. The desert sun had faded paintwork but not much else, but keys in, turn on, it started like it had been parked the day before.. After cleaning out air filters and a quick service, fresh fuel in, they drove it back to the UK.. Will never forget that TV film about it..... Scania = built to work, built to last, built for reliability...
