I have lived in Vallejo for 12 years. We recently had 14 lawsuits at one time against VPD for excessive force, rights violations, destroying evidence, lying on official documents, the list goes on. They kill people, lie and trap citizens. They bend the stars on their badges for every person they have killed. They are HORRIBLE and EXTREMELY corrupt. It’s hard to live here.

That's exactly what I was going to comment. I'm dumbfounded. What an absolutely horrific thing to say to her Mom!! I wonder if he'd say the same thing if she were his daughter. While, yes, there can be psychological issues that surface when a victim of molestation becomes an adult and is in a sexual relationship, he is not a psychiatrist nor a psychologist and had no right to assume what he did, much less, tell her mother!!

Someone trying to get away with it would not want their story questioned. Then sure they can be suspicious of a hoax, but they should've still been investigating the case as a kidnapping. They turned his phone on airplane mode when that was the only way a kidnapper could reach him! Then they publicly announce it was a hoax with zero evidence to prove that! They did so many things wrong in this case that it would be impossible to list them all!

You'd be surprised how often this happens during interrogations. It's not uncommon for detectives to use these tactics. It makes it difficult if someone is innocent as you are running the person through mental games especially if it was their own partner, family member, etc. which is already leasing to their own mental exhaustion. Imagine experiencing this situation, no sleep, already upset and worried what might happen to your partner then have people who are in control of your future telling you that you did this and just playing mind games with you. In some cases, they won't even let the person of interest to get a lawyer or they'll use the person's lack of understanding of their legal rights to let them get a lawyer by telling them that's not true and continuing the game. It's not all officers but it is unfortunately more common than people realize.

Those cops wanted Chris Watts status! You can never assume. Even if it seems nonscence. Even with Chris Watts after he gave an interview and it seemed off (which we know to be certain now) you cannot jump to being convinced. People love to say 'see I told you' & because they've got one or two of such cases right they think they will be right everytime to follow! And then there are the body language experts, confidently assessing behaviour because they've watch all of `the behaviour panels' videos. Such expects do not even claim to be able to do this! It is dangerous.& does not truly help victims either, case and point here. I believe people really should withhold their judgements online and it really does create problems, particularly when it comes to tr fair trial. Whatever a case, whatever the truth and outcome, it is speculation of unfair trials that lead to miscarriages of justice and even if someone is guilty and is found guilty, having that in the background and appeals references media scrutiny, I believe is not complete justice for the victims and family, another good example mentioned in this episode is Scott Peterson. How can Lacie's family try to move on (not that they ever will 100%) even though the trial has happened and Scott is in jail when there is doubt, in that the trial was unfair and some of the investigation was poor etc (which however you feel is true). I don't think people consider this like they should when.reporting and when members of the public start protesting relentlessly (eg Gabby Petito where people set up outside of Brian's parents house....like who does this anyway) enough about the reproccusions of their actions. I mean in Brian Pettito it most likely kept away and influenced the overall outcome of justice. Yes people may think who cares, the person is guilty etc and & said persons sentence is totally just. & give no rise to possibly legit grounds for appeal & and they are done but can the family do that.... I doubt it?! Such people thinking they are helping bit they are not.
So often feels that people Want a person to be guilty but I always want people to be not guilty, I want persons responsible for crimes caught and receive guilty verdict though of course. I think coming from this stance is a better investigation strategy for the end result and well justice. Investigate to prove innoscense than guilt....if you can't then you got yourself a real suspect that you can take to trial.

Dublin detective should train the Vallejo police. Is that lousy vallejo detective and spokeperson still working? They need to be demoted. Lousy, lazy and stupid. Denise could have died and an innocent person go to jail. Fire the liutenant and detective. Actually fire the entire Vallejo folks.

It’s horrible that Matthew Muller the kidnapper raped her twice. He could’ve just stuck to the ransom. But he had to do that?! I can’t believe Matt Muller only got 40 years and not LIFE

Plot Twist : The dark deep web is sick of the police blaming innocent people and not doing their job properly so they gave the girl back to Society

Dear Detective Mustard... what the hell is wrong with you. How dare you say something so disgusting and deplorable about sexual assault victims want to relive the “thrill” of them being abused. There’s NOTHING thrilling about being sexually assaulted. It’s traumatic, it’s humiliating, it’s something that changes you as a person. No one would want to relive the darkest moment in their lives. You shouldn’t even be a receptionist in the police department. I say collect your pension and retire because it’s obvious that the job has picked away at your brain over the years. Aren’t detectives supposed to be patient and good at analytical thinking.
