I know I’m a little late to this video but I wanted to thank you for the valuable information. I’m in South Florida and currently in the market for an E550. I’ve found 2 in particular and both are one owner low mileage Florida cars their entire “lives” and both sedans. One is a 2010 E550 sedan with the sport package with impeccable maintenance history and the other is a 2011 E550 4Matic also with the sport package and extensive maintenance history. To me there’s just something special about a NA V8, particularly in a luxury 4 door sedan. I’m glad you touched on the Airmatic topic as I, along with others have heard some expensive replacement stories. I know they’re not as common as they appear to be but I drove a colleagues and the ride was fantastic. Not to mention the power is readily available when you want it. Just an all around great experience with it. For disclosure, I’ve never owned a Benz but I did lease a new 2008 750Li back then and honestly it was a great car. It also helped knowing that if something happened it was fully under warranty during the lease. However, since then I’ve driven a number of Mercedes and knew that if I went back to the luxury vehicles I’d be going Mercedes. I was originally looking at the S Class but after driving a number of E 550’s that seems to be the direction I’m leaning towards. Forgive me for rambling on but I wanted to thank you for the video and the information within it. Wishing you and everyone a happy and healthy 2024.
I loved this car! I own a business and it didn't fit the image very well... Otherwise I would still have it! Comfortable, fast, sporty, and oddly very reliable!! You cannot go wrong with the 5.5 V8!
@@orangeblockgarage I have to say I wasn’t expecting a reply from you given I was late to the video but it’s much appreciated. Sorry to hear that you no longer have the car but I understand. I live on the east coast of Florida in Palm Beach County and I just so happen to have to go to the west coast of Florida this weekend and the 2010 is where I’m going so if I have the time I’m going to try and take a look at it. It wouldn’t be the first time I had to take a trip and somehow came home with a new car!
0. I bought it at Christmas and has been stored since. I just put it back away until this snow clears. The previous owner did have to replace the air suspension… that’s a huge problem with these. Otherwise it’s bulletproof!
@@orangeblockgarage subframe rust is the other scary repair on those I think… I am in the market for one of those but I’m also scared of the cost of repairs aha
i have a 2010 e550 for over two years so far big maintenance i have done is the air suspension other than that pretty solid and reliable car and plenty of power, i recommend the 5.5 over the 4.7 biturbo
We don't have those Railway Roads in Ireland. Ba Bump Ba Bump Ba Bump. A repetition of the Durango tedium in this video. Just promote the other vehicle and leave this wonderful car in the yard!

The Genesis felt bigger. It felt more sporty though with the rear wheel drive and sachs dampers

How reliable are these cars with this engine ?
I have since sold mine but have heard this 5.5 NA V8 is one of the most reliable engines Mercedes made
