Hands down, best audio mix so far. You got the messy bass frequencies out of the way. Justin's solo in "Invincible" is clean, and Maynard's voice is honey.
Edit: They seriously put their everything into "Invincible," and their time and effort really shine through. This song is right up there in the same spirit as "Pushit" as far as each member's technical prowess being in full swing, all the while keeping their focus on the song's overall impact. Highs, lows, quiet, loud, slow, fast, soft, heavy, contrasting and complimenting, simple and complex.
Mix? It was recorded from the front row directly in front of Justin with two schoeps mk41 microphones. No eq was applied. What you hear is as it was in that seat.

This sounds amazing!
Sprint center, Kansas city, Tuesday was awesome. The bass was popping and swelling terrible where we set. You could hear it, exactly like I did on the Kansas city recording! This does sound better, no big bass swells and pops!! So either they had the sound better, or someone did mix it out.
Tbh, it's the only thing to bitch about, wait, no sober or laterallus!!!! But we got "Part of Me!!!!!!". That was worth sober, still mad at no laterallus! Lol

Casey Jones I completely agree. The 7 minute point of Descending starts to open the portal, then Danny smashes the gong and essentially hurls us thru it.
This is the direct IV line to the bloodstream tool fans have been waiting for.

Tool has always been at their peak. Every album is a masterpiece. They will always be amazing. Fear is beautiful. Yes it took 13 years, but I'm FN happy. Saw them on this now cancelled tour and it was MAGNIFICENT.

I was never crazy about The Pot in C tuning but it sounds freaking amazing here. It seems MJK has really gotten it perfected with it being in the regular setlist.
Any particular reason they do it in C here? Literally every tool song is in D!

Like how lite this sounds. The bass was super heavy that night. This sounds great!
Honestly, the bass (to me), sounded pretty decent. More often than not, the bass gets lost within the higher pitches.

There isn't anyone on TOOL's level. There really isn't anyone in the same astral plane as this band. Four guys sound like an entire orchestra, writing material that's beyond a lot of folks comprehension but you instantly are drawn to whatever it is they are speaking to you

This was one of the very best shows I've ever been to. That said, in all of the recordings I've heard so far, Maynard doesn't sound as in-key as I thought he was while in the moment. I love Tool and I love Maynard, so this is truly not a dig etc - but would it be fair to say that the vocal performance here was shaky in far more places than it should be? Whatever the case, I love these dudes and this show was COMPLETELY UNFORGETTABLE
I want to add that in SOME places he is more vocally strong than I expected. I remember thinking that while at the show, so it's odd to me that both things are true. AKA, the vocal performance low points were at times lower than i think the lowest would be, while the high points were higher at times too.

Just found this. I always check the comments first for audio quality. These were really good so I plugged in to my modest split system. 18” subs 15” mid highs and horn. It’s a good system to say the least. This video blew my fucking mind!!!
P.S. is this a monitor board mix? Unless you have the worlds greatest software, you had to procure this from someone in the backline company or the band itself. Which is it?

I've been so used to knowing and taking in every word, beat, rhythm, note and tone for so long that even the old feels like new sometimes. Now, the new is here and I don't know it and It feels so weird. I dont know it, but I felt it.

the new parts they added in the middle and adam doing the doodles in the second verse complete the song in a way to where its ACTUALLY KIND OF HARD to listen to the album version. crazy to think that they really brought that song to an even better state of being

I noticed that too in Aenima as well, but he sang that one so well. The Pot definitely was tuned down a notch, threw me off.
Aenima the sound was off they were sound checking i think thats what threw him off u cant tell on this because he fixed the sound dont know how but he did and yes pot was down a notch they were still sound checking took the whole song to fix it then blam they were fucking on point

there is no better bass player than justin chancellor. straight up. i LOVE how in this audio he's super loud, he is going absolutely nuts in the new bridge sections to stink fist. and you can ACTUALLY HEAR HIM doing his part that reminds me of a harp in the big metal part of invincible. fucking shit did joe baressi mess up the mix and master of that song on the album
