No home, no car, no job, no income, no prospects, but *she’s* the one who’s settling? Make it make sense.

And she doesn't want to settle for just any job either. Ya when she is homeless life will look different.

'His confidence doesn't leave room for my doubts' That has to be one of the most toxic, sabotaging statements someone can say about their partner

Envy is always overlooked in many relationships. When a woman becomes envious, it takes a man some time to catch on and recognize!

When I was laid off, I was working multiple part-time jobs until I found a permeant one. There is no reason not to bring in any kind of income at all.

She was a total leech. She couldn't even fix dinner when she had nothing else to do.

The second they show disrespect, it's over. Walk away and don't look back. Without respect there can be no love. She has nothing, but somehow in her mind she's the one that settled? Only in women's logic can that be a thing.

Well when Chris listened to the recordings of the therapy sessions and he heard what wendy had said he discovered the real her, a user. I don't blame him for promptly kicking her out onto the curb.

Oh come on she wants a bad boy that will be there a few weeks at most vs the good guy that will be there for 40 plus years.

What therapist gives their patients the recordings of the sessions? That is borderline unethical and definitly unreasonable.
And it's funny, how Chris states, he wasn't one to snoop, but looks at the file the moment he discovers it. That kind of person also reads diaries and listen to confessions in church. Not only is that a clear break of trust, his knowing of the content of the therapy defeats much of the whole purpose of the therapy: a save place were a patient can voice their fears and thoughts that they cannot voice in front of anyone else. And therefore it's very hypocritical when he claims she broke trust.

She thinks SHE settled?!? Her boyfriend is carrying her while she gets back on her feet, all while she’s planning to leave when she doesn’t need him anymore.

Maybe I'm jaded or maybe I'm just an asshole. But, I wouldn't have confronted her about her statements in therapy for several reasons. One being potential liability for violation of doctor patient confidentiality.
Another reason, and the one I might be an asshole for, is that I'd want some sort of payback. My feelings would be dead at that point. Thus, I'd no longer treat her like a partner. Rather, I'd begin to treat her like an adult and start placing expectations on her to step up while slowly withdrawing support. The rock she relies on that she resents would unexpectedly start shifting underneath her with no obvious reason.

@@GravitonSmith - and if someone is crazy enough to get married, they need to get an ironclad, air tight prenup with a morality clause for cheating. Considering how the courts are stacked against men, marriage needs to be off the table - only a sucker plays a rigged game.
