OUTSTANDING! thank you. Long time shooter but new to reloading and want to replicate factory. I was minutes away from buying a Rollsizer but I think I'll wait. You probably saved me serious coin.
Over 5K combined (9-40-10-45) in last year: 1) Lee FL Undersize - 2) Minimal expand (Jacketed & Cast ) - 3) Seat & taper crimp (Hornady die) - 4) Lee carbide crimp die w/carbide 'smoothing' only (Plug removed no crimp) All LOA's set to just clear leade or rifling and checked by ability to rotate round in chamber. All specific and random 'plunk test' pass, case head(s) flush with, or .001"-.002" below barrel hood. No malfunctions in Glocks (factory and Wolf), Rugers, Kimbers, S&W's, CZ's, or Caniks.
I think the Lee fdc is totally dependent on case length. If your cases are different lengths, the crimp will be erratic and you may even miss a crimp if the case is too short.
good info, ive learned this the hard way 😃..i pronounce it o jive ? lol, i have had some range brass with a funky case head bulge and just toss em out 9mm too easily available to worry 👍
Outstanding videos on this channel. Thanks from Canada.
Thank you, stay warm up there.
