Thank you Jaylin Leslie, for speaking your truth. Often truth-telling is actually exactly what you're doing---being and speaking truth in the moment; so, again, thank you.

Wow thank you so much for this dialogue. This is something I’ve been pondering on for a couple years especially after graduating undergrad, working in corporate, and doing some reflection after experiencing a 180 that came with those changes. I feel like we briefly touch on this in mainstream convo but it never hits the nail like you just did. 🙏🏽
It does feel like a precarious time for Black people where the two choices are either assimilate (culturally more so) or let yourself be blown with the wind. “What does it feel to be a problem ?”

Its crazy that “black” has some sort of stigma but people dont cant articulate why. This is why I walk with head up chest out. I refuse to be gaslit into thinking something is “wrong” with me and my people. We are attractive ,courageous people with no history of opressing other ethnic groups unlike others. Our only task moving forward is to continue building wealth and uplifting one another. Ive never woke up wanting to be any other race group a day in my life. Im happy when I look in the mirror anybody struggling with bigotry cant say the same!

Absolutely. I’m clear that there’s nothing wrong with me but it’s a lot wrong with them.

Money is definitely the central force that drives the impact of anti Black racism on all aspects of our lives

For most of the reasons you outlined I would say this works within the idea of The Abjugation of African Americans. We are made into "other" because we are such a core threat to American Facist ideology .

So true. In spite of our successes there are hidden hands causing failure. Some of it is due to racism but jealousy crosses all racial lines and affects us all.
Religious belief can block the jealousy issue.

nah we need money to go to Africa because they don't have the jobs and infrastructure that America has. We'd have to built it ourselves and we dont have the money to do it.

Great video, but with this type of message the chances of it reaching everyone feeds is low. Probably have to talk about diddy or make a video that helps pull black men and women pull further apart from each other.

How about you compare yourselves with a more dark skin blacks who come from Africa but do get upward mobility in America when it comes to job opportunities. Contrary to dating, I don’t think color matters anymore when it comes to employment opportunities in America.

@@d.7203 I am Ghanaian and I live in America too.Where I work in corporate America, I see every other nationality and groups except the African Americans. Other groups and Africans included are taking their spots in these high paying jobs in all industries while they are online complaining about colorism when seeking for employment opportunities. I will agree that there’s colorism in the entertainment industry but there are far more industries that are lucrative outside the entertainment industry that will consider them regardless of their color. Every year, the US immigration approves over 100,000 international students (myself included) to work for companies based on their qualifications not their skin color. And they consider other nationals because there isn’t qualified American candidates for the job.

What are you talking about Americans don't have skills or people complaining about colorism. You should focus on your homeland and stop fleeing, you probably domt even have your proper documents to be in America, but trying to criticize black America.
