To make regular Houndoom better, Inwould boost its speed, physical and special offensive stats by a little bit more and I would either give it adaptability or solar power. I think it should learn the moves boom burst and scorching sand.

To be fair even when Houndoom could mega evolve no one used it properly in singles no one except for me. That was around the time I started getting good. My mega Houndoom team made to the 1500s in OU gen7 back in the day. People just didn’t wanna use it in the sun, but you put that thing in the sun and it will fire a mean fire blast and a solar beam a milotic can’t survive! I would use HP ground for Heatran. Or catch people off guard with a sucker punch. Megas coming back should be interesting. I’m so curious what gen 10 will bring to the table.

I actually used houndoom in a draft league. And he got up to some pretty fun shenanigans. Using scarf to abuse my opponents sun with overheat and even running destiny bond as a one for one. He's goated.
I agree Dylan. I think he is super slept on, could he be better 100%, but I think it still is a top fit type pokemon.
