What a wonderful tutorial. I learned so much. Lots of my questions answered for me. I found you on Pinterest then switched to UA-cam, will watch more of your videos.
Love them, and loved hearing your thought process! Thanks. Maybe with the longer videos you could do a voice over if you wear a mask. I really prefer to hear a commentary rather than read words. ✌️👍
Spraying the alcohol/mica mixture causes surface tension, which is where the little dimples come from. Just break the surface tension by dabbing your finger where you see the dimples and it should fill them back in. Nice job with the coasters! Thanks for sharing!!😊
Silver swipes look SO COOL, and I’m diggin the black too-if only you didn’t spray it so close that would’ve turned out cool. You’re right tho-too much gold overtakes Tim but it’s good yo know that we can swipe with resin!!!
Ill have to search you channel to see how you deal with those drips on the underside, and place the cork. Love that idea. How do you get your edges so nice and round? Do your torxh so much just to pop all those bubbles you were talking about, or to help the resin move? Your always an inspiration.
Hi, I do have a video on how I round the resin see: ua-cam.com/video/uu7-6snHEZk/v-deo.html I put links to the cork rounds I use, they are adhesive and easy to put on. I head up the resin with the heat gun in the beginning, this thins out the resin so it moves easier and also pops the bubbles at the same time - the torch gets the rest when I use it every 15 minutes for an hour after I have completed the project
Awesome! so beautiful! I see that you are using the resin colors from colourarte, are they semi / transparent? Could this also be done with pigment paste? I'm curious! Thank you for your comment. I really love your coasters, would love to give it a try.
I keep a spray bottle of 90% rubbing alcohol next to the sink, as long as the resin isn’t dry, alcohol can get it off most anything. I also have alcohol wipes on hand - the work as well
Christy you truly are fabulous even your experiments come out great! 🥰 I giggled about your bubble resin talk... felt that was directed to me 😂hard to choose favorite but must say loved the silver ones the lacing came out great! Although the gold ones really did look like the moon ! Did you sand them the way you usually do for final display because the gold and silver leaf was put on? But the sides were rounded so does look like you did your sanding process! Also Freezer paper is great swiping paper! Keep up the amazing videos you are truly great thanks for sharing your artistic talent with the rest of us! CS
LOL! YES I was making this the day you asked me about all the bubbles in the resin - and I thought - yeah i stir the crap out of this and it always bubbles LOL I think I like the silver one better on this set -I did not sand the edges on these, only the bottom, I didn't have to because I overflowed the clear coat on the top and it leveled them out. So it was what you saw, and one clear coat
17:27 2nd Try on the big coaster
24:07 Gold Leaf and clear coat

Gorgeous again! Thanks a million Christy.
Wow you make this look so easy. Thank you for sharing.
This would be great to do over my messed up coasters. Thank you for sharing this with us 😍
I love how they look like planets in the end. I enjoyed listening to your process.
What kind of paper is that and what is its purpose?
I think they are very pretty and I loved the isopropyl alcohol and gold spritz , what cool effects!
Just ran across your videos. I'm hooked. Beautiful 😍

Very lovely
Love these, especially the one with the turquoise bit going back through the swipe 😍
When you where all finished, the first sliver one looks like the moon. Very cool
I really love all of them, but the two silver ones are at the top of the list for me.
Hi, love watching, when I used glue to add gold sheets(that comes with gold flake, the resin was repelled. It took several coats!
These are awesome!!!
Absolutely gorgeous
as always they are all so beautiful!

Me , It's the moon, the moooon,! Love these

I love the silver but gold is nice too 💙💜💙
They are lovely. Thank you. 🌷
You can use a guilding paste/glue so much easier for the gold leaf x
Amazing. Thank you

I really liked the first large coaster with the spritzed surface leaving the craters. You could have done the second version on the other side.
beautiful effect! thanks for sharing new subbie here
Welcome! Thanks for the compliments

Beautiful thx 😊
yes my coasters are quiet thin and if the cup is too hot it will stick to it, but maybe if you put a thicker clear coat it will work better :)

Is there a layer of epoxy under this first pink seafoam green and gold?
Do u use a hair dryer AND a torch?
What is the black base please
💜
What brand of resin do you use? Did you say it's a doming resin?
Yes, I"m pretty sure I used MiraKleer on this one, I also use Pro-Marine when I can get a hold of some up here
@@ResinAsYouWish I am jst starting and I love your videos they are so helpful!!!! Resin is so expensive and hate wasting any at all!
Do yo ever tape off your backs before you start?
