Had this room booked for my family of 5 for 2025, but at $8500, I couldn't justify it. Had to cancel and switch ships. Got a suite on harmony for half the cost
@@JBS7551 omg ur right! The surfside family suite is actually the same price and you get sky class, although it holds less people. I wanted a nice family vaycay on this ship but we tend to get free rooms from gambling. We’re doing oasis instead. Free Junior suites for our family members, and a grand for us. Can’t beat it!
@@JBS7551 all the oasis are great! I love the freedom classes the most, they are just the right size and since they’re older don’t seem to be as busy - I don’t really like when the pools are swarmed and you can’t really swim around comfortably. But the big ships are great fun and the shows are nice.
I love these for families with little ones and just the safety but still having the fresh air of a real balcony...a now married nephew had his first cruise with family as a teen due to his speed and athletic ability being extremely difficult to coral his first 10 years...lol...I know some parents know and understand.
Why doesnt this show available when I enter 2 adults and 1 child but shows plenty of availability when I enter 2 adults and 2 children? Can this room type not be reserved for a family of three?
Sometimes not. I would talk to a TA. Otherwise book for 4 with a refundable deposit and cancel one later. Or just no show if you get kids sail free. A TA can help you though!
Great video as uaual. So when it comes to storage. What do you think of the mini shelves? Are they good for anything without any proper railing? Is the wardrobe and drawers available enough for a family of 4-6? I think it is hard to see storage enough for 2 seasoned cruises in some of the staterooms that has been shown.
We have this layout booked and our son and daughter are SO excited. We booked two years in advance so it was reasonable. Wondering about suitcase storage. Do they have room built in for that under the king bed?
Great video - we have this class booked for our upcoming cruise on Icon next month. Did you see the room with the couch set up as a bed? just wondering how tight it feels with the bed out. Thanks!
As an avid Royal Caribbean traveller, i must congratulate Royal for pricing the average cruiser/family (who love this cruise line) out of traveling on the new ship(s)🙄
I wish they had classified some of these as suites instead of the Surfside Family Suites. We just couldn’t justify paying a suite price without an ocean view. We would have for this.
The infinity balcony has been a disappointment for many Celebrity Edge Class passengers. AC cuts out and results in a warm room. The small bunk room may heat up here too.
This is even worse because I believe a lot of the celebrity edge rooms have a door to close off the balcony portion. So you could still have air-conditioning on the rest of the room if that door was shut. These rooms only have a curtain so the air conditioning will always shut off if that window is open.
I really don’t like the fact that the infinite balcony does not have a shutting door like celebrity to the balcony portion. Therefore, if you are in that section with the balcony window open, the air-conditioning will always have to be off.
Hey Danny and Taylor. Cute bunk area for the kiddos but don’t like young children being so close to the entrance/exit. Appreciate the 1/2 bath. Oh it’s a split bath with shower and another sink. Like that infinite balcony space. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome room, Just what I need for a family of 4.
What a set up! might go there with my 12 children.
Loving the rooms
LOVE this room!
Thanks for all the ICON videos, Danny!

That is? I was trying to book it and it was $14000, i would’ve gladly paid 8500vfor it 😭😭😭😭
@pewpewlazers5702 That room isn't even a suite too, it shouldn't ever go for more than 5k. $14k is ridiculous

what a fun room!!
This is the video I have been waiting for. Thank you! Btw. Any chargers or outlets at the bunk beds?
excellent Tour! It was so great to meet you in person at Cruise World!

When will a full icon tour come?!!

Is there a separation or divider between the main suite( king bed) and room?

They do! It is a Royal king, so more like a queen

Hi will you be reviewing all interior cabins for the icon?
Is the WiFi hotspot included in this room?

Harrr 😃
Are the bunk beds twin size or crib size for the kids
I know you are too tall to lay in the bunk beds, but my teen son is 6’1”. Do you have a length on the bunks? Or an idea of length?
78 inches. More than enough!!

We'd love to stay in this type of cabin some day. For now it's priced far out of reach for our family.

@@jetta3614According to reviews, the a/c on the Celebrity Edge turns off when you open the window even if you close the doors to the balcony area.
“Dad’s” office…lol

Even on Celebrity, the a/c goes off the moment you open the window regardless of whether the balcony area doors are closed or open.
i can already see someone accidentally kicking the tv in the bunkbeds and breaking them very easily, not the best placement

Only 1 closet for six people???
Cant leave door open without obstructing the entry to the bunk cubicle area. Poor design.
