Iv just had a thought. The marker is just Ai run amoke playing Command & Conquer on the highest difficulty. Once the marker reaches a world it can play a round of Command & Conquer. But whereas we started off with guns and tanks the marker starts off with bacteria. Which is the highest difficulty when u think about it. It had to rewrite the very code of the bacteria which is the smallest (lifeform) there is. It uses the bacteria to infect another bacteria in the human biome. Thats the next level up. Then it uses those 2 to infect more bacteria until it can then launch an assault on the cells of the human body. Which then each also change and infect more cells in the body until it makes the very first Infector. That's the next level. That's basically the Command Centre. Once it has 1 Infector it starts making offensive units. Our offensive units had ranged attacks. We started with Infantry, Granaders and the like. The marker starts off with Melle units and makes a Leaper. They are the Granaders of the Melle units. They are more powerful than the standard units.....which for the life of me i can't remember right now so I sincerely apologise. I'm a bit more than slightly intoxicated at the moment and my mind has gone blank on the name of the standard units. The infector starts infecting people, (basically making buildings for us), and the Leaper defends the Infector which then makes more Standard units and Leapers and so on until it then eventually takes over that world enough to make one of the Moons, (which I also can't remember the name of right this moment.) 😅 Thats the next level. When it has enough Moons they would all link up and create another Convergence Event even bigger and create something even bigger again. The end goal being the whole galaxy is taken over. Then it would branch to the next galaxy? (level) and the next until it had enough to pull them all together and make another magnitude bigger in scale Convergence Event again. And so on Someone created an Ai and gave it the task of taking over everything and sent it on its way. The person who created it is long dead but the Ai is still ticking away doing it's thing forever. That's the true horror that can become with Ai. It can be created by a mortal and then go on eternally. That's my take on it anyway. Thank you for your time. 😅😊

Does that mean the necromorphs find victims based on smell? I’ve always wondered how exactly they find their targets to create more necromorphs. Does the marker identify dead bodies for the infectors to find and infect? Or does it have a complex olfactory sense to find both dead and living humans?
Such great lore that I'm surprised that it hasn't been made into a movie. But knowing Hollywood, they would find ways to screw it up. Also, I can't help but feel remorse for the massive disappointment that was the "Callisto Protocol", which had some of the creative team as Dead Space, though small and the same creative mind in Glen Schofield. Such a shame. Callisto has almost no lore. Which makes me wonder if the game was rushed?

Wonder if anyone had actually gone out to our real world Yucatan Peninsula to look if there's any strange looking large rock statue with carvings on it.
I thought that the brethern moons wanted us to populate out of control so that we'd be forced to create new markers and spread across space, lowering the likelihood of a marker being lost again like on Tau Volantis and increasing the range and number of new brethern moons. Unless I'm remembering wrong, doesn't the human-made markers also turn into a moon? Though I never understood why there was an infector, maybe during the early stages of convergence when theres less marker energy bouncing around via infected, but not the later when people are dying anyway and never understood if dead cells were influenced by the marker, why inject a liquid, why not just kill and then they turn anyway?
do a video analyzing the kharaa bacterium in subnautica. it can alter any living organism's genetic code. (bizarrely enough, no plants show any symptoms of infection; meaning higher resistance, immunity, or a dev oversight)
Truthfully, idk if Tau Volantis was their homeworld or a colony. It's not exactly clear, but Volantis could easily have been a colony or research site and the only individuals there were scientists and other staff(think Engineer site in Prometheus, where the black goo first appeared)..
Considering that the markers have been established to be on other planets, its probable that Tau Volantis was a colony, though we can't be sure. So its possible that it was their home-world, though I kinda doubt it. But its possible.
Eeeh idk certain lore I've found playing the OG dead space 3 gave credits to it being their home world, they froze their very waters dying out while others became infected turning necromorph. Now it did become a colony thanks to humanity but that doesn't change if you look enough you'll find the lore I speak of given how the brethern moons operated, they'd have one orbit their next place of grim harvest carefully guiding them until the signal is released giving them green light it's time to eat and while I would agree it could've been a colony to the tal volantans we gotta also keep in mind how the markers operate. They specifically aim for the species once they reach a certain point of space faring but keep their main focus on the planet they choose to harvest as the other worlds would be targeted by other brethern moons, overall my point is if even if there were other colonies I'm very doubtful that they survived long since as shown they specifically are prime time starting zones for base convergence. Alternatively I could just be looking at what's been given in the wrong context of it wrong but still figure I share this much as I am an avid dead space fan

I had a nightmare that I was in the bathroom and then I walk out and I was in a fucking space ship then suddenly Roanoke came running down the hall and grabbed my hand then we ran into a hall and there where fucking necromorphs everywhere and I was in a rig suit, then suddenly a infector ran towards us and Roanoke grabbed it and obliterated it and then a brute came out of nowhere and we ran and then a pregnant necromorph gave birth all over me and then I woke up
I really hope in the next deadspace game we get to actually see the conversion of the various forms
It would have to be a prequel for it to work. The last one with Isaac was the end of humanity.
@garretth8224 tho what if the 3 DLC was all a dream to stop Isaac from warning earth?
Also an altman prequel would be tight
The marker not being able to take over dinosaurs is a huge L, can you imagine a necrmorph T rex? What would it do to them tiny little arms.
Perfect timing, I love listening to your videos while I drive
Drive safely!
@@RoanokeGaming don't worry, I safely booze cruise as is my right as an American
The sign of these things popping up on the news I'm blaming Roanoke for building a marker
Does that mean the necromorphs find victims based on smell? I’ve always wondered how exactly they find their targets to create more necromorphs. Does the marker identify dead bodies for the infectors to find and infect? Or does it have a complex olfactory sense to find both dead and living humans?
I doubt Roanoke will see this but thank you for these videos and keep up the good work, we appreciate you
Such great lore that I'm surprised that it hasn't been made into a movie.
Great video as always Roanoke, even though i barely understand physiology i can sorta piece together your words into something that makes sense 👍
So on a different topic, I got my first handgun today 1911.45 ACP
It's midnight, gonna watch roanokes videos on my way to work tomorrow. Luv em (these vids)
Can we please do a video on ceromorphosis from baulders gate 3?
Im a doctor, n i love your explanation, sound like a fun morning in the hospital XD
Hey, a new hellboy movie is in the works that will be referencing the roanoake colony, would be interesting to see you cover the movie tbh
dead space had some of the coolest cosmic horror zombies to date imo also lowkey i wanna see what Roanokes Throught are on The zombies from Project Zomboid,
Yes, more Dead Space content!
I cannnnnnotttt wait for DS2 Remake/remaster
I think that’s the first f-bomb I’ve heard him say
Oh sweet! this episode all about patient Zero. The first to breakout of this game is something I can never get straight because I'm running around panicked and scared.
What’s crazy to me about this series is visceral games and then subsequently an EA partner company were so specific and articulate with the creation of the necromorph species that is can and is quite literally backed by science and when explained by someone with a degree in science it not only makes sense but is possible.
Hey Roanoke, you should look at the altered humans in dead island 2. They are fasinating in how their bodies have adapted to the HK disease and still retained their humanity.
Make us har- I mean whole Ronaoke
Ayo
Hey Ronaoke ! Mexico just dropped the Latest alien or ufo controversy !
I want the world to know.
When Papa Roanoke does videos centered around video games - I am incredibly happy (though I completely understand why the films are in the focus now)
Keep at it chief, this stuff is really good!
Also, unsolicited film recommendation. "Stung (2015)," Fucking bizarre demon wasp things sting and infect humans with their larvae. I think you could do a lot with that concept
I had a nightmare that I was in the bathroom and then I walk out and I was in a god damn freaking space ship then suddenly Roanoke came running down the hall and grabbed my hand then we ran into a hall and there where freaking necromorphs everywhere and I was in a rig suit, then suddenly a infector ran towards us and Roanoke grabbed it and obliterated it and then a brute came out of nowhere and we ran and then a pregnant necromorph gave birth all over me and then I woke up
I, too, hate it when engineers rip off my proboscis.
Day 6 of asking you to cover the Pandora Virus from the game Phoenix Point. It's a weird Cthulhu virus that turns people into crab people!
Remember when you first did these videos years ago. Thanks for still doing these RG
Absolutely bro! And thank you for the super chat :)
I am so happy Daddy Roanoke is back to making more dead space videos
Just give the bloody Necromorph a hug, it won’t be too rough~
Would it be possible to be completely immune to the marker's effect given enough time with generations or genetic altering with KRISPER?
id expect so
Roanoke uploading right as i get home from work 🥳🥳
Thanks for watching bro!
@RoanokeGaming my brother in Christ, I spend my workdays re-watching your video🔥🔥
Ay one of my favourite enemy designs in-game! Thank you for the vid lad, and also for showing more lore about it with the first infector records, i never saw that before.
Cheers from Brazil, hope you're doing great :)
11:56 100/10 acting someone give this man an Oscar
I like to think HP Lovecraft was the original prophet.

Hey are you going to make a video discussing how cybernetics in cyberpunk and how they can negatively effect the mind of a person🤔🐱
Dude this stuff freaked me out for like weeks man, to be fair I was a kid then

Another Dead space video! I love it. Don't change anything. I love the tangents ignore the one guy who always complains.
Love the content you help me get though my long work days
Do a video on EMESIS BLUE
13:54 that little blue guy has put some work in on this channel.
Literally after watching this, i realise there was a animated movie of this. Well a prequel i guess
Wonder if anyone had actually gone out to our real world Yucatan Peninsula to look if there's any strange looking large rock statue with carvings on it.
Someone has, although the Black Marker was underwater.
😂
I bet it's right under someone's house.
Great video as always!
Man, I'm just getting into warhammer but I would love for you to get into the tyrannids
God I love your videos, they are great to paint miniatures to :D
Do you think you'll ever do anime? or more 40k content?
Roanoke, great videos man! Please keep it up!!
I love scenes in monster movies and games where humans make first ever contact with the monster
The update report is terrifying
do a video analyzing the kharaa bacterium in subnautica. it can alter any living organism's genetic code. (bizarrely enough, no plants show any symptoms of infection; meaning higher resistance, immunity, or a dev oversight)
Clickign on a Roanoke video that had one view. Honestly PEAK timing
NOICE
Why is there r34 of necromorphs, I just wanted to know about their physiology and anatomy
Roanoke didn’t show it but I was curious and searched up necromorph anatomy please never do that 🙏🙏🙏
Are you planning at all on covering the State of Decay series? It has a lot of interesting lore and variants on zombies
Oh yeah, Brethren moon checks ALL the boxes!
Day 143 skag borderlands
Day 90 scarlet rot elden ring
Day 80 Shimmer Arcana (League of Legends)
An analysis of the Croatoan virus from Supernatural would be neat
Up to date Infector necromorph lore vid
Truthfully, idk if Tau Volantis was their homeworld or a colony. It's not exactly clear, but Volantis could easily have been a colony or research site and the only individuals there were scientists and other staff(think Engineer site in Prometheus, where the black goo first appeared)..
Considering that the markers have been established to be on other planets, its probable that Tau Volantis was a colony, though we can't be sure. So its possible that it was their home-world, though I kinda doubt it. But its possible.
It makes sense😂
@@gruk5319 wouldn't that mean there was one staying near Earth the whole time after the Black Marker landed and somehow nobody noticed a giant meat ball in space until 2514 AD?
Yaaay more Roanoke now I can stop rewatching old content...... for now......
Played through the OG Dead Space in the dark with my headset while I was tripping on an ounce of shrooms. Good times. 👍
I played a remake while tripping myself but I couldn't even play I started laughing every time I saw a necromorph
