Have you ever had an issue with the aerofoil that helps cool the diesel return radiator under the rear suspension? Only two bolts hold it on and they have rusted out, have got a new one but the old bolts are rusted out and ot much of a head on them to get a socket on. Unfortunately I only have the standard jack so very hard to get close to it. Just wondering if you have ever had to change one
Hi Derek if I'm honest I wasnt even aware there was a duct back there. I do know it can get crusty in that area though because of its perfect* location right behind the wheel. Good luck sorting it man, perhaps a set of Irwin bolt extractors might get the old bolt out.
@@split_pin Thanks for your reply, I may well try that but there is not much to grip on, maybe have to drill it out and retap the hole, difficult access though if you don't have a ramp. A simple job it should be but the rusty bolts have caused an issue
Ps I'm actually quite enjoying my rover 75 2.0cdti connoisseur se, although there are some teething issues its a great car to drive, very comfortable and economical for such a big car
I changed a 5 series 530D one it was black as anything. Don't believe everything you are told bud some people will just anything shame about the camera. 👍
I think the previous owner was probably told by a garage that they had fitted the upgraded PCV as he had done so much work to the car all backed up by invoices and receipts. I'll be replacing the PCV annually now!
Just had mine done, it was black exactly the same as on the video,
185000 miles!!

@@derekmacdonald4441 Anywhere to just attach it with some stout cable ties? Nobody will see it.
That's an option but I'm going to try a bolt extractor that I got from screw fix, failing that I might just use cable ties.

I replaced the filter after the last owner and the car started to tar with the exhaust, do you have an idea what could be the reason?
If its smokey it could be something simple like intercooler o rings, EGR gummed up (mine is deleted).
