6:07 if you own a TRF you would know it’s not about the price, it’s about how special the car is. How well built it is, fit and finish, the color. How Tamiya gives special attention into the cars, and the setup for the car that just works. It’s not a name you are buying it’s just special.
I'm an off road guy but I love learning new stuff about any aspect of RC and I'm really looking forward to coming along for the ride and watching you guys do well at TC racing.. Great video lads.. 👌😃
Always find the content on this channel helpful.. With your direction I picked up a TT02 for parking lot racing. Now looking to run black carpet this winter indoor. Its nice to see racers help new racers in to the hobby. Thank you.
Be interesting to see how these match up against the bigger boys. I’m a true believer in you can turn a competitive chassis (or whatever your hobby uses) into a winner with a few choice mods! May have to get one for myself!
On CRC carpet the car has a tendency to traction roll, with the standard shock tower setup. I haven’t tried the upgrade mounts. It would be helpful if there was an aluminum chassis option for the ‘21 chassis kit. Also, the drive train seems to be a bit more bound up compared to my Xray. Maybe a bearing upgrade would help with 17.5.
The intention was to do a series of videos showing the progress of the chassis over time but we decided to do the upgrades straight away as we are impatient 😂
@@PopalongRC haha fair enough!! I was a racer for 20 years and now have three lads and took them to MICC yesterday and the eldest was interested, so am potentially interested in an economical start up. Back in the day I used to racer the TC3 Team even when the TC5 and X-ray came on the scene and I could still hang with the best, so was interested to see if the cheaper car could hang with the best too!
I would be careful running the horizontal rear body posts for indoor racing. If someone runs into the back of you it can cause quite a lot more damage than if your using vertical ones. It's also very gimmicky still lots of top drivers in the UK not using them
Nice one guys, lovely looking cars pure road candy, what's your views on the air dynamics of Shells producing down force and tyres compounds for the track day 👍⭐👌
we have done several videos on tyres and shells and we will be revisiting it again with this project. as Mark will be running different tyres and shell to Carl so watch this space
What about the £222.00 120023 R3-PRO 1/10 Carbon Premium Edition 4WD Electric Touring Car, they say...All in all, the R3-Pro leaves nothing to be desired for the ambitious competitive driver.

Great cars mate, nice and cheap too👍
Really is a great looking chassis for the price. May have to pick one up.
Still impressed with how it is running

@@PopalongRC 😁👍
Hey guys! Thanks for the review! Why did you get the cheaper chassis with the upgrade kit, instead of the higher spec carbon kit please?

@@PopalongRC be nice to see you guys get some lap times down, and changes to cars 👍
All in good time ..
Does the tamiya bodies fit on this? without drilling new holes in random spots?
Will need to drill separate holes
The normal style shocks you have are a lot better than the pass through ones as well.
awesome ... looking forward to starting testing.
