They need to do Sky High followed by "Up, Up, and Away." Pretty sure they have super similar starting premises: non-powered son of incredibly super-powered parents tries to make his parents proud.
"She's great in Sky High. It's good movie." Finally, someone else who liked Sky High. I've spent all these years aimlessly travelling through life as the only person I knew who liked it.
Thats weird because everyone I know who watched it liked it.
It never got the critical aclaim it deserved. Everyone who actually watches it likes, but it's like they all know a secret that pop culture never figured out.
It's such a fun film. I really don't get how it escaped everyone's notice.

Somebody else probably already mentioned this, but while BJ Britt did indeed work on the pilot and in Agents of SHIELD, the photo for the latter shows Mack (Henry Simmons). BJ played Triplett.

When I rewatched it for a project a few years ago, it still throws me off seeing Diana with three identities and a company, named after her home. I was also shocked seeing Pedro there, because dude has been around, like his first big project was in the season 4 premiere of Buffy.
Funny that you mention Cary Elwes not being a villain, because a few years later he would appear in Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox as Aquaman, who is in a war with Wonder Woman, so in a way, he was lol.
After this failure, David E. Kelly made NBC's Harry's Law, which in a episode, guest starred Erica Durance, wearing for the second time, a Wonder Woman costume, but the same one from his pilot, because the man couldn't let it go!

My favourite piece of Wonderous Trivia was the fact that Sky High is a good movie.

@@AlexTenThousand You could apply that to anything with "special" people though, which is a lot of sci-fi and fantasy properties. Star Wars, Harry Potter, X-Men, they've all got the "superior people".
@@alexanderforbes1452 not really, Sky High presents a clear, widely supported split between those who have powers considered "superior" and people who have powers considered "inferior". The movie even ends without ever addressing this, with the sidekicks that took part in the climax being gracefully allowed in the superior race, rather than the split being abolished.
@@AlexTenThousand I think you're misinterpreting the ending, they moral is that anyone can be a hero, no matter how powerless you seem at first blush. There's some power fantasy of course, it's a superhero movie, and ultimately it's for kids who want to see characters fly and shit. The argument can very easily be made that something like Harry Potter is a much worse example of what you're describing because there are literally no significant non-specials and there's no way for the non-specials to ever even be considered a special. The non-specials even have their own vaguely slur sounding name in "muggle". Rob Wilson gets powers in the epilogue but before that he behaves heroically and the only reason he doesn't get considered an honorary hero at the end like the teen sidekicks is because he's not in the scene.
So she says Liz Hurley is evil, runs like Edward from twilight through rush hour traffic, eats potato chips, tortures a hospital patient, jumps in a visible plane to fight some gym dudes then has a Wonder Woman merch meeting. Why didn’t this pilot get picked up for a series run?

thats because while it didn't have many great episodes, it did have some good actors who carried it that far. Tom, Erica, Michael, John John and Annnette. Sure most of the support cast was so-so but the main guys were good enough. That show was all about the actors, not really the plot, episodes, etc. Some were ok, but most were so-so, carried by the good main cast.

Because it was truly freaken amazing the greatest Superman story ever, the greatest Superhero Stiry and series ever the greatest finale in tv series history, the way tgey gurbed a nerdy natural nerdy Clark Jent over the years growing up with him in my 20’s watching him go from kinda old classic Superman to a fresh, modern, new fake whilst keeping the Superman traditions, tgey somehow managed to keep Supermabs stories and traditions like Boy Scout, nerdy, glasses, tge farm the growing up learning his abilities yet incredibly just incredibly by the end he’s this new fresh Suoerman a confident Clark Jebt but not too confident, Erica durance is greatest Lois Lane in history I wanted her for either Superman Returns or Man Of Steel but too late now as she was the greatest as Lois us loud never shuts up is fiesta, always getting in trouble, they kept all that whimsy making it fresh, new, modern, relatable, just ohenomabal I think it was series 9 with tgfe black costume and being taught eventually by Jor El which we never got in MoS, all we got in MoS was Russel crow just standing there he’s meant to be Superman’s biological father who teaches him about earth and humans it’s in comics every film and show and MoS just ignore it, Smallville upto now is the greatest Superman ever, and my hero was Christopher Reeve but Smallville blew them all the way and lead up to him wearing the costume tge bright red yellow blue not depressing dark blue dark red no yellow MoS suit, and way they show his trials JB final episode was phenomenal, especially with the perfect score then the suit coming up out if ice then changing into suit in the fjrtress of solitude which every Superman Dan wants to see again never saw that in MoS, but way he just flies up changes into the bright colourful Supernan costume I really pray and hope Hsnds Gunn Superman costume will be bright sbd colourful as well with big bold S crest I miss Smallville j mean Iv gitvtgem all on blu ray but I miss the series hopefully Gunn will give us some Soin offs with DC Studios showing what Superman does in between big battles when he’s nit taking in Kobo the Eradicatir, Brainiac, Parasite, Metalo, Ljvewire, etc tRiyman jd love to see giynan a dick twisted version of toyman in a Superman movie where he’s holding kids for ransoms killing them and Sun ok reman jumps in saves ten but can’t find toynan but us love to see an enemy like Intergang take metropolis hostage completely hostage with Darkseid alien technology

This was the absolute nadir. Why did she kill this fairly ordinary guy? Because he had her pinned down by firing a gun at her. What's WW's most famous power after super-strength and the Lasso of Truth? Beuller? Anyone? That's right, that she can *deflect bullets* using her bracers. It would have been both vastly cooler and more in character if she had done a Lynda Carter, walked up to him, deflecting all his shots, smiled sweetly then knocked him out.
Edit: I'd forgotten or missed that she did the missile deflection bit elsewhere in the pilot, but that just makes it worse.
I love the editing choice to add the confetti, rap battle screams, and John Cena meme music in there. Really elevated the experience and shock of “wait WHAT 😃”

This show was good. She was way darker than the Zack Snyder version, and did it with a smile, she didn't even struggle with the choice of killing people. She makes Zack Snyder's Superman in Man Of Steel look like a kind hearted softy, she was like The Punisher. Release the 2011 cut, series? Yeah. Release The 2011 Cut Series!
In the comics Wonder Woman never struggled with killing her enemies when it's necessary, she killed Maxwell Lord to free Superman of his mind control.

It stars Jack Black as an astronaut who was exposed to the sun and becomes the smartest man ever and Owen Wilson as his talking motorcycle. you can find it on youtube, it is a piece of art.
A 'Caravan Of Garbage of Smallville' would be something I would love to see you two talk about.
But seeings though that will take you some time to watch or rewatch or watch the rest of, whatever the option. I suggest watching 'Skyhigh' because ypu brought it up and I think that would make a great 'Caravan of Garbage' episode.
