CURRENT SCHEDULE
Expect a new video every Sunday and Wednesday at 11AM Central!
How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a UA-cam channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

Kudos to you for the countless hours of hard work, my friend! Your videos are a result of the passion and dedication you bring to your art. And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
Really like your drone footage and the music picked goes with it really well.
Great Video Ryan, Good to see the end is in sight, thanks for sharing
Happy Late Thanksgiving to you and the family. Nice that all the corn got harvested
Hey, Happy Holidays to everyone. A tip i would put a watermark on the bottom corner of your videos. They are very good.
Ryan you have some amazing drone shots of the corn going into the header 8:15
Nice to get some corn stored at your house for the cattle
Great job Luna, Ryan, Dwight and Travis👌👍🙏🙂
Another great harvest video
Nice harvest video😉👍 looking forward to see the rest of the corn in the bin😁👍
Funny seeing the critter scurrying out at 4:11. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
For a dry year, great results. Good luck on beef and grain higher prices. Farms are all beautiful. Hope you get some blind time to fill the freezer.
Great video
I'm glad you're able to wrap up the season.
I see the star of wonder is up yet. A happy late thanksgiving!
Happy late Thanksgiving
Hi
Good stuff
awsome video ryan thumbs up and shared
Happy Thanksgiving to all( a little late).
Thanks Ryan! My end-o-harvest questions: 1. How was the first full season with the new combine? 2. How has the repaired door/gate been working on the semi trailer? 3. (May be a better question in another couple weeks when end-of-season tillage is complete) How has having the "79" worked out so far?
We had a late going but managed to swipe through harvest pretty fast. The door on the trailer is about as easy to open now as it was to close before. Not as bad, but not easy. The 79 has been very nice to have around so we don't switch tractors to implements as much. As it stands, it looks like we're getting 0 tillage done this year.
@@HowFarmsWork thank you for the reply!
Ryan, the slow motion B-roll is spectacular.
Thank you!
Great video and drone footage thanks Ryan 👍
Awesome video Ryan bravo fall harvest complete, now on to tillage, love tractor time working dirt
Amazing drone footage Ryan
7:43 was my favourite part!:)....or 9:08 :D
Happy thanksgiving to you and all your families and friends
Hey Ryan!!
Great drone footage!
Can you get DDGS directly from the Ethanol plant to use for your cattle feed? Great video, and hop y'all enjoyed your Thanksgiving!
I don't think they sell direct but I would get some if I had a place to store it.
Great filming shots!
Run rabbit, run! 4:10
Hey Ryan, I know y'all be happy harvesting 2023 is over. Please be sure to bring us good drone footage of tillage. Tell the family I said Hello. Take Care, Take it Easy and TRUST JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good video
thank you
4:11 Rabbit!
👍🌟
You might need to build a bigger new grain bin.
Can the Harvestore's be used for grain storage?
Not without conversion. We quit using them because so much goes to waste
I thought it wasn't good to feed corn to cows unless it was partially ground up or cracked first? Luv ya's from Kentucky!!!
They just don't get as much benefit from it. I don't crack it when starting them on feed because it's too inconvenient to run it through the roller mill for the 2 weeks they're on buckets.
I watch several farm UA-camrs and your combine is the only one I’ve seen with that second auger sticking up in the grain tank.
I’m rather new to your channel so maybe you’ve talked about it before
It's a Crary push auger. It helps alleviate pressure on the grank tank auger to reduce wear
وليد 😢
Ethanal = joke.
Not really. Ethanol has byproducts like corn oil and DDGs that aren’t considered in environmental impact studies.
