I am glad that you did the camfer I suggested on the last video, it does really work well! 💪🤓👍 I fixed my old Mecedes A180 generator pulley with this, it was rubbing the tension mount, you do need a lathe though 😁

I don't even watch TV anymore. UA-camrs like yourself are absolutely fantastic to watch. Great job. My father would love this at his farm

    •  4 роки тому +4

I stopped watching regulr TV about 3 years ago. I hated the cutting they made, then recycled material, and always before and after advertising they did a what's to come, and what has happened :P ... like they thought everyone was idiots watching .... with YT and the like, there's no such stuff, not treating their viewers like braindead zombies ...

    • @Redneckmfg

I admit I stopped watching TV as well .... I think you could rebuild anything just by watching UA-cam ...

    •  4 роки тому

Same here. Guys like Donn are inspiring me to go and do shit with my hands instead of sitting on my arse. I also deleted social media apps and accounts because for me it looked like it made people even more idiotic.

Outstanding! I'm a second generation conveyor belt technician, and this whole series was just a joy to watch. I've worked on hundreds of conveyors in paper mills, mines, lumber mills, biomass power plants, etc. This was great build! I have enormous respect for your talent and ingenuity, and I can't wait to see what you'll think up next. This might be the first UA-cam link I've ever sent to my Dad, because he's one of the few people on earth who will truly appreciate it. :)

As mentioned previously, I never watch TV, just great videos as yours where we can learn something new and make life easier on our farm. By the way, real nice-looking farm you all have too!

I am super impressed, The conveyor came out better than I thought. The whole set up is very nice and well thought out. Looks like one can process a lot with less back ache!
The crates will make it easy to move and allow for much better airflow to dry out the wood, While keeping it dry from ground contact. Since these crates are stack able. Even your small skid steer should be able to double stack them in nice rows.
If you keep with the IBC totes this will work well. It really depends on if you can collect enough of them at a cheap enough price.

    • @DonnDIY

Brilliant work. When watching I saw that gap at the bottom of the conveyor and immediately thought that it needs blocking. I've used exactly the same many years ago and plan on trying 2 straw broom type brushes spaced slightly apart. The first would be right at the base of the conveyor and would brush the belt. The second would be about an inch or so further up the conveyor and would be set so that they just brushed the top of the angle iron cleats. I found that the style you used tends to flick the wood and they will often miss being picked up on the cleat. It's possibly no going to be as big a problem for you as it was for me as I was having about a wheelbarrow load of wood dropping onto the conveyor about every 10s.

The need for brushing the belt is something I have to address in the future, otherwise the bottom roller will wrap stuff around it.
