- Panorama Finals 1986.Kitch's classic arranged by Ken"Professor" Philmore and Milton "Wire" Austin..
This bouncy 1986 arrangement of the 1986 Lord Kitchener classic remains one of my favorite arrangements by the Ken"Professor" Philmore and Fonclaire Steel Orchestra combine.
it also reminds me of the "South Band Sound" of the nineteen sixties and seventies as arranged by the likes of Lennox "Bobby" Mohammed, Steve Achaiba and Milton "Wire" Austin.
.
Back then the bands had regional sounds, before they started using the same arrangers and tuners, as they do today.
I was recently informed from the source that the bass arrangements were done by Milton "Wire" Austin himself , while Professor did the front line arrangements.
That's where that "South band" sound came from , and no wonder since Wire is a veteran San Fernando panman and arranger from way back..
This arrangement of Kitch's "Pan here to Stay" earned third place in the competition.
Milton Wire Austin died today December 20 2020. San Fernando has lost another hero and pan legend. Thank you for all the music. May Eternal Rest be his.....
Still remember this song on the four bass☺️
Great music I love the bass line music they talking
STILL listening in 2022! One of my favorite arrangements by THEE "Professor" and "Wire" (Fonclaire)
Nobody does it better ... well! ,... except "Pan By Storm" ... my favourite
This was the build up to Pan by storm and other's. And my favorite 😁. Dickson Gopaulsingh

Mr. Joseph you're the best keep bringing sweet pan music from the south, good work.
You couldn't put it better Mr. Joseph.
I was at skinner park when the pro. made a killing with that song ..

nice and clean, I miss that sort of performance, hopefully this year people will do their homework, the return of several generals, should have players executing their music instead of slamming them pans
