Got rat mesh fixed from local market not that effective, try local jugads like keeping tobacco and pepper mint powder etc

Mate you're mistaken that modern cars are rat proof. You would have the same issue in a Mercedes as well.
What you need to focus on is rat repellants like sprays, tobacco and phenyl balls. Scour the Web and UA-cam for help
