The matching brown saddle and handle bar gloves gives it a quality look. That crate on the back is big enough for a weeks grocerys, and the weight shoudnt be a problem with the throttel to help.

Glad you like it! The basket is definitely handy for running errands & grocery shopping, and you're right with the throttle it takes very little effort 🙂

Hi useful video, thank you. I'm 69 years old, in the UK & have just bought an electric trike because I have arthritis and can't walk far. I live outside a small village & don't drive, so I'm a bit cut off. I thought a trike would be a good idea - it is but my problem: I feel that the trike is tipping over! The camber along the country lane is quite steep so how can I compensate? Also I assume I need to sit upright - not lean forward to stop this 'tipping' feeling? Any more tips to help me with this problem? Thanks!

Hi Helen - Interesting that they have answered every question but yours. I have the same problem. I told my old school friend who has spent his life mending and riding bikes and without prompting he told me this is what happens with trikes. On the flat they are fine but as soon as you have a camber they want to take off into the hedge. It's a constant struggle.

Hello. I'm 42 and bought a electric trike and was shocked with how different it is when turning.
Adding weight low down at rear is always a good idea. I swapped out the rear basket for a DeWalt tstak 2.0 mobile tool box which I load up with stuff. It really is important to have weight ie 10kg/25lb at the rear at the beginning of learning how to ride the trike.
Also you MUST lean with corners as you would a normal bike - basically your neck and chest must always lean over the centre of the frame when turning. So when you turn left, make sure your body stays on the left side of the centre of the frame. Preferably go lower to with your chest.
Basically you want your body weight to be the exact opposite of the camber or turn as much as you can manage at this time. If you struggle - do it next time going even slower. Build up your speed with your learning of how it works.
Tricycles are stable in the straight - be careful on turns. But it's worth it - the trike is a great replacement for a car for 99% of journeys.
Fyi its taken me approx 1500 miles over 6 months cycling daily and now I am comfortable with the turn.
Fyi now I'm able to use the physics knowledge I have and am purposefully able to do ''stunts" ie I can tilt the trike and tip it over on purpose onto 2 wheels - and then can ride it for a prolonged period now on 2 wheels!
Persevere - you WILL become familiar with the physics over time.
Just start slow, add weight low down, lean more - with time you will understand how to use your body to work your vehicle. No one can teach or tell you how to do it - you have to feel and learn over time. Good luck

I am so thankful that you told me to set the motor to zero while I make a turn. This was very helpful. Thank you so much. The slowing down for turns is similar to a motorcycle ?? And thank you for explaining about the butt cheek lean. I was wondering about the lean.

Thank you very much for your helpful videos. I will be buying an electric tricycle soon!... Should electric tricycles be parked at the regular bicycle racks, parking lot spot, or somewhere else when we are not using it?
