of all the Egyptian Gods, this one is the only one i care for and have respect for. Like you said, at some point everyone in that culture would have to face him at some point.
This was a brilliant video, the intro with the smoke effects being used to transition between the pictures of mythological figure was particularly glorious. I would've also assumed that Anubis was the god of the dead if not for this video, ironically until the day I died

I know that he was and is called the jackal headed God but I thought he had the head of the Egyptian wolf? Either way, it ties many cultures that had dog like headed beings both harmful and helpful.
@@Nyhlo-07 i canrt argue there because you got to sit though some heavy political and just twisted accounts of the legonds. as thoes myths have been rewriten just to make someone look better or connect them to the myth like emperors to gods.

I wouldn't be surprised if Anubis had been the inspiration for Lord Beerus honestly. Only difference I noticed is the Anubis is black while Beerus is purple
you didnt talk abowt the blood sacrifices they made to him including the hebrew babies being slaughtered or during the 10 plagues of egypt the death of animals and the first borne being devoured if not covered by the blood

Xolos - Anubis Xolos served as companions to the Aztecs in this life and also in the after-life, as many dog remains and dog sculptures have been found in Aztec burials, including some at the main temple in Tenochtitlan. Anubis assumed different roles in various contexts. Depicted as a protector of graves as early as the First Dynasty (c. 3100 - c. 2890 BC), Anubis was also an embalmer. By the Middle Kingdom (c. 2055-1650 BC) he was replaced by Osiris in his role as lord of the underworld. One of his prominent roles was as a god who ushered souls into the afterlife. He attended the weighing scale during the "Weighing of the Heart", in which it was determined whether a soul would be allowed to enter the realm of the dead.[5] Anubis, known as “ First of the Westerners," "Lord of the Sacred Land," T’ameri, or as the South American god is called, Ameru.
