  • Howdy, friends! In this video I give you the rundown on my pedal board: what I use, how I use it, and why. I don't go over the complete functionality of each pedal since they mostly have multiple capabilities and uses. Instead I take you through what I've found works well for me.
Something I don't mention in the video, but find really cool, is that since there is an overlap of functionality between the individual pedals AND the ME-80 I've got backup effects on the board if any one pedal goes down. Also I can take the ME-80 off the larger board for smaller situations where I don't need every single tool in the kit.
Feel free to leave comments, corrections, opinions, or your board down in the comments. Thanks so much for watching, and happy jamming!

Orq - I waited through this whole vid and still never found out what pedalboard you use! :) Ha! Thanks for the rundown, always nice to see how a master guitarist uses his/her toys.

Haha! Dang it, sorry about that. Yeah I realized that after I'd started editing the video. AND I didn't talk about how I power all the stuff either. Maybe that'll be good info for the next pedal board video. Thanks for tuning in and supporting the channel, my friend. Cheers!

And I forgot to mention it again! The board is one of those big ol' pedal train boards. I use two Dunlop power supplies strapped on underneath. They're plugged into a power strip that I run to the wall. Ok there it is! Hope that answers any remaining questions. 😁🙌

This is fantastic. As a non-musician it gives me a good idea of the subtleties in your music that I would otherwise miss. Bravo. (Plus I'm just a sucker for gizmos & gadgets with knobs & buttons ;-} )

Hey orq, my jet slide came in 2 days ago! Had carpel tunnel surgery last Friday so yaaaa ! on that deal. I have messed with it enough to tell it's really gonna take some getting used to but each time I try to use it, I feel a bit more comfortable with it.
I do have a question about petal selection, I've always been a Les Paul/ explorer directly into a Marshall j.c.m 2000 kinda guy, lately I have taken an interest in ways to highlight the parts I play that suck the least.
I have an analog chorus petal really like it, a crybaby love it, I've tried several different options , tube screamer, tremlo, phase shifter, and several others I never really feel comfortable with anything . Could it be I'm looking at things from a backwards perspective, or I just suck to bad for petals to help? Sorry to be long winded in my post, the freez is superbadass I really dig it, great video appreciate any advice
    Thanks... D.M.

Howdy Reverend! Well I'm glad to hear you're getting more comfortable with the jetslide, and I hope all is well with the surgery. The slide yakes a bit of getting used to, but keep working with it, and remember to keep the ring kinda loose, and at an anglr from the bar. As far as pedals go, I'd say keep trying stuff out. Tone is such a personal thing, and you just gotta keep working on it. The first question to ask is, "Whose tone do I like?" Then you can take it from there. There's all kinds of ways to get what your after, it just takes some trial and error.

    No chorus?

Nope not much of a chorus user. The rotary effect on the ME80 is about as close as I get. Never really used chorus much come to think of it. Except for the Arion Stereo Chorus. But again, that had more of a rotary speaker vibe than a traditonal chorus sound which was why I liked it in the first place. Thanks for checking out the video!
