I just scrolled through the videos on your channel and I saw that you did the cast from Designing Women- I didn't see Dixie Carter specifically but the doll in the Hair Salon video looks like her with longer hair. DW is one of the best TV shows of all time- those dolls are awesome!
I got really lucky and made a doll for Delta Burke and she is sooooo freaking nice. We had a little bonding moment over dogs. She's lovely. The gorgeous woman is as kind as they come.
@@LaurieLeighArt 🤩🤩🤩🤩 I love her and her husband- he was on Simon and Simon, you probably remember- omgosh you are lucky; that is so freaking cool! I was looking for an email to ask about tutorials?
I use a little water but I have heard that just water to thin acrylics breaks down the integrity of the paint. I use acrylic extender too. Very inexpensive. Can be found in the craft paint section.
I love this. Tonner dolls are beautifully sculpted but I don't usually like the paint they come with so it's great to see someone else painting them to look they way I like Lol! That's a great tip about keeping the paint layers thin because I have terrible trouble with it going lumpy and you always have to start again. It takes a steep learning curve (for me anyway, especially on 1:6 faces!) I really have to work on building opacity with lots of thin layers. You kind of want to rush but it never works out!
Hi Jack , I don't have one on that but I definitely will make one. I will give you the short version. Place the doll in a heating pad on high. If you don't have one I will upload a how to for a rice DIY heading pad. This will soften the vinyl and allow you to carefully remove it. Never use force. Wait for the vinyl to be squishy. You can put the head back between the heating pad to put the head back on when you are done.
@@LaurieLeighArt do you constantly go back to use the air brush fluid for the liking/thinning of the art when applying it to the face? Or it’s a one time thing when the fluid is placed in the foil with the paint!?
@@stallyjenkins9893 I do like to thin with airbrush fluid the most. When I'm out I used a acrylic thinner from the craft paint section. I think the airbrush fluid keeps the paint a bit sharper. 💕
Hi! I use several different pencils. I recommend Arteza 48 Expert Colored Pencils on Amazon. Great value. For individual pencils you can go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby and pick up Prismacolor in colors like dark brown, burnt sienna and dark red and black. I also love to use pastel pencils, any brand will do, in cream.
I honestly saw this dolly being reborn and it made me want to cry because she saw human like usual or is just out of this world thank you for sharing your work I don't know how you got those eyes painted that tiny and I subscribe to your channel I hope you subscribe to mine thank you
Hi there thanks for the video you are amazing but the quality of your video was out or something it was very hard to see just thought I'd let u know.❤❤
Just a suggestion. You should not make the video too quick. As we cannot learn how you paint it. Take it slow ly. And if not enough you can cut it down to many part video. Such as part 1,part 2 and so on. Just my 2 cent
If you check my other videos I do have those as well. Annie Potts had three parts as well as one called real time which also has three parts. All of my videos on patreon are real time. Xoxo
Your work is exquisite. The way you choose and apply your paints using the most fine paint brush is amazing to watch. 🙌🏻 Very gifted 💯 😊🌿🌷
Thank you so much 😀
The detail of the hairline - absolutely stunning! So realistic! You are undoubtedly very skilled at what you do! Thank you so much for sharing 💓

Wow you’re an artist
Thank you so much.
When is the sealing process done? I didn't notice spraying between color application so l am guessing it is after everything is done?
I spray between layers as I go for the face contour. For the eyes and lips I seal at the end separately.

Did you use anything to keep the makeup from deteriorating?
Yes I spray before and after with Mr Super Clear UV Flat.
Can I use simple water to thin acrylic paint for or do I need that airbrush liquid? Thanks!!

thanks ,I'm going to try to repaint my Madra
Hope it worked out.

Thank you... yes it never works out. Lots of patience in repainting and breaks. Everything is so small!
I want to learn how to remove and replace heads. How to interchange heads and bodies. Where would I find a tutorial?

Si pudieras hacer a Lizzie de la película amor y prejuicio❤️
Eso me vendría genial. ¿Qué versión de Lizzie? ¿Kiera Knightly?
I’m in the uk what clear sealant can I buy I’m really struggling to find any of the ones people recommend
Ty
I am not sure how to help with that. They are available on Amazon I know.
It doesn't fade?
A doll repaint doesn't fade. No.. I have some from 20 years ago and they still look the same. They are completely sealed.
how much is barvie repaint
My website www.laurieleighart.com has all of the info!
How do you remove and replace the heads????
I put mine in a heating pad and wait for it to get squishy, then gentle wiggle off.
Beautiful make over 😊
What kind of paint did you use?
In this video I used Master's Touch Acrylic Paint from Hobby Lobby thinned out with air brush fluid. Thank you!

My doll is too shiny what can I do
I thought I responded but I don't see it now. Becky, do you have Mr Super Clear Flat UV. Spray a couple.of times with that. Should fix her.
Which size brush do you use?
Hi... i use 0/18 or 0/20 rounds. :)
Beautiful, would love to see in real time, or not so speed up.
Scott and Diana White thank you. I have real time videos available on eBay. Link is below the video..
