After all this time? 😭😭😭
Always.
@@KaiSean1206 Always most memorable moment from the Harry Potter movies gets me 😭 every time knowing everything he had to do plus Lily saying the same thing to Harry before he confronted Voldemort
😢 Yes, I'm a grown man and cry for (movie) Snape. He truly was the bravest man in this series.
ALWAYS 💜
ALWAYS😭😭
You are the only reactor who spotted that Snape telling Harry he had his mother’s eyes meant he knew Lily. I love the tender way he says it and I love that the last thing he sees are Lilly’s eyes.
I think the scene when he sobs over Lily’s body in his arms. Breaks my heart every time.
I'm so glad you noticed Snape take out the Carrows!!! Hardly anyone ever notices that.
Also, for realizing Narcissa lied to Voldemort. So many people either don't hear what she said or don't understand what she meant. In the end, the Malfoys did redeem a miniscule part of themselves.
and McGonagall shoot first!
bcoz he already watch it or he already seen bunch of youtube clip about it
@@axegangaxegang2994 for the life of me I cannot understand why people think I’ve seen it before? Because I was paying my complete attention to the film and picking up on things other reactors didn’t? Is that the only reason? Give it a rest lol 😴
@@CaptainTinnylisten, you noticed things and picked up on things just like I did reading the books. F*ck the haters, keep doing what you do. I quite enjoyed your reaction.
@@axegangaxegang2994There's a lot of hints, ofc some people will figure things out, that's why the hints are there 😂
The reason why Snapes protronus is the same as Lily’s is because if you love someone enough it will change to be the same as the person you love it’s only ever explained in the books
What about James?
@@Andrew_S1 I’m not sure about James if it’s in the book the only Harry Potters Book I have is the Half Blood Prince but I have all of the movies
James patronous is a stag and Lily's patrounous the hind. The stag is the counterpart of the deer, which means that they are soulmates.
And no, the patronous doesn't change necessarily into the patronous of the person you love. Snape was nearly obsessed with Lily.
It can change, yes, by an emotional shock or upheaval, but this is really rarely! And the only person whose patronous changed is the patronous of Tonks!
Btw, Snape is the only one of the deatheaters who can bring up a patronous!
in my headcannon, the patronus is linked to the soul.
That's why sometimes patronuses are connected (stag/doe, otter/jack russel terrier, etc), meaning both people's souls are linked, kinda like being soulmates.
Snape's love was so strong that he was able to rid himself of his true darkness to conjure a patronus after her death and his soul manifested the patronus as a mirror of Lily's soul, thus the doe.
Its not with everybody
It MIGHT change but most times it dosnt happen.
Please dont explain stuff you dont know for sure.
The reason why james didnt changed is cause he didnt got this " luck "
I love that you noticed that Snape redirected the attacks to the two Death Eaters, not many people notice that on the first viewing. Props to you!
Thanks mate! I keep getting this comment hahah. As soon as Professor McGonagall stepped in front of Harry to defend him, Snapes face just spoke volumes. He was suprised that it would even come to this, him vs her. All his spells were defensive too. Alan Rickman was just too fkn good man
@@CaptainTinny not only that, he also take the wands of the two Death Eaters, just in case if they will wake up again after he leave the castle. Snape is the GOAT 😅
Here's a cool fan theory about the deathly hallows story which also happens to be J.K. Rowlings favourite:
The three brothers represent Voldemort, Snape and Harry.
Voldemort is similar to Antioch Peverell which is obsessed with power and wanted the Elder Wand.
Snape is similar to Cadmus, who was in love with a woman that died too soon.
Harry represents the last brother who's been gifted the invisibility cloak and lived a long life and lastly greeted Death an old friend.
Dumbledore represents Death who once owned all three of the Deathly Hallows and sent them out in the world. When Voldemort destroyed the Horcrox inside Harry, Harry also greeted Dumbledore like an old friend.
Wow I never really thought about that
This interpretation is amazing. Especially because Dumbledore tried to trick the three of them with different things. Voldemort with power and the Elder Wand, Snape with getting some of Lily back while protecting Harry, and trying to tempt Harry with the Hallows and him choosing a more meaningful path.
no matter how many times i see someone react to this film, seeing people react to the scene of Snape's memories never gets any easier, we were all led to believe Snape wasn't on our side, Alan Rickman did a great job, the scene of Snape craddling Lily's body wasn't in the books but it made the scene so much more powerful
Well said Joe 😥

And may you lead the force. 🖐️
Small little fun fact, Harry's son Albus does get placed in Slytherin, and becomes best friends with Draco's son Scorpius Malfoy.
Not going to lie…the Snape/Lily scene gets me teary eyed each time.
100% just they way they built it up so subtly over the previous movies. And Alan Rickman absolutely nailed Snape. I couldn’t see anyone else playing the role
Also Maggie Smith who played Professor Minerva McGonagall was battling cancer while filming. And she still did a amazing job
She is an absolute weapon! Love her
@@CaptainTinny If you want to see Maggie's son Toby Stephens, who is also an acting tour de force, I recommend Black Sails. A story about the golden age of piracy in the Caribbean with a mix of real historical pirates like Charles Vane, Calico Jack, Ann Bonney and Ned Lowe along with fictional pirates James Flint, John Silver (before he was long) and Billy Bones. It works as a prequel to Treasure Island and is seriously one of the best written and acted series ever made. They say or show you nothing without a reason and there will be call backs. Intrigue, sex and violence, ahhhhhh all the greats.
In retrospect there are so many subtle hints - expressions, looks - when you watch Snape from the beginning. Alan Rickman made an amazing job to show fleeting glimpses of Snape that did not fit his overall persona, something that could not be done in the books without giving to much away - he was the only one that knew about Snape's past - when he met Rowling before the start of filming only three books were out and the fourth was written. Even when he refused directors orders he never revealed why because he promised not to tell just that he has information they do not and even after the last film was released he kept his promise.
Yeah, Rickman’s face when he kills Dumbledore is a masterpiece in acting. In that one moment you see grief unexpressed. Rickman was a GOAT.
@@HK-wv4hr What always breaks my heart in the HalfBlood Prince is the seemingly insignificant exchange between Snape and Dumbledore in the tower "Did it ever crossed your brilliant mind that I do not want to do this anymore?" and then Harry screaming at Snape "Fight back!" - the expression in his eyes... I love Alan Rickman in any role, he was an brilliant actor and the voice... I mean, come on, the man made a line like "Turn to page 394." legendary!
Snape's unrequited love came out of the blue with a sucker-punch to the heart. What a great movie series that was!
And just think, if Harry hadn't saved Draco in the Room of Requirement, Harry wouldn't have been able to indicate to Narcissa that Draco was still alive, and she might have reacted rather differently. It was mothers' love that affected the entire story from start to finish.
The forces from the series that endure are love, especially a mother's love; and we are the product not of our abilities but of our choices. (Harry in part became Voldie's nemesis because he chose to attack Harry and his family instead of Neville).
You were wondering when it came to the movies, just like the books, people queued up to get the first screenings, grown adults and kids alike. We were screaming, clapping and crying at all the same moments that you did. You can hear a pin drop when the Snape story was revealed and the gasps and sobs after he said the iconic "Always." It was just so amazing how much this series (both book and movie) had captured the imaginations of many. To Potter Heads, Alan Rickman will always be a hero.
If you wanna cry some more, here's a fan theory that got viral after the last book: George looks into the Mirror of Erised. But he only sees himself. He is confused until he suddenly notices: the person in the mirror still has both ears. That's not him. That's Fred. 💔
Crying
why'd you make me cry like that 😢
Burst into tears. Thanks a lot. 🥺
☹️
When Snape was escaping he also took the death eaters wands away that’s what he was doing when he jump to each death eater before he escaped
Lol no he did not. 😂😂😂 look at her hand. See the wand?
@@KaiSean1206 it’s probably a mistake left in the movie because why else would Snape jump to each one before escaping
@@OmegaS-117 He cursed them. He was giving McGonagall time... Now, this whole thing happened diff in the books of course, I won't spoil it but yeah...
@@KaiSean1206 that makes sense to me I guess seeing how the only Harry Potter book I actually have is the Half Blood Prince I wouldn’t know that
@@OmegaS-117 No worries... Idk why ppl say that, maybe coz that's what we'd all do? But, this was the Half Blood Prince... He def didn't need to take their wands to give her time. He had spells and potions no one had ever even heard of. There's another theory that George was looking for Fred when Harry jumped out of Hagrid's arms but I never saw it... I've looked and looked but, I never seen him look for Fred. They also say he could never produce a patronus charm again bcuz his happiness was Fred. 🤷🏽♂️ Idk.
I theorie i love is that when harry got killed by voldemord. He sacrificed himself the same way his mother did. And by doing so puting the protection on everyone in hogwards
I believe that actually happened in the book not sure though since I’ve never read the Deathly Hallows Book
Honestly, this is one of the best reactions I've watched to this movie. Phenomenal attention to detail! Thought I'd make a comment explaining some of the subtle pieces of information that's missed in the movies due to time constraints, etc. Hope they help!
1. You're one of the VERY few people that actually recognized Snape deflecting the spells back at the Death Eaters. He never went on the offensive against Minerva, he only played defense. After he knocked them out, he also took their wands before jumping through the window.
2. So in the flashbacks it really makes James look like a dick and Severus like this really sweet kid, which is true to an extent but doesn't tell the full story. James was an ass but he matured into a great man which is who Lily fell in love with. Snape fell in with a bad crowd, and the tipping point for him and Lily was when he called her a mudblood. She never forgave him for that.
3. Harry didn't use the Resurrection Stone to come back, it actually can't bring someone back to life. The reason Dumbledore gave it to Harry was so that he could see his loved ones before dying, so that it would give him the peace and the determination to actually go through with it. VERY important detail. The reason he was able to come back was due to the fact that Voldemort took Harry's blood inside him back in the 4th chapter. There is a moment in the books where Harry is telling Dumbledore what happened, and as soon as he mentions that he took his blood, Harry can see a brief look of triumph in his eyes. This is because up until that point, Dumbledore had been operating under the assumption that Harry had to REALLY die, but after Voldemort took his blood, it caused a sort of positive Horcrux to form inside Voldemort, keeping Lily's protection alive inside him. Dumbledore also states that had Harry known there was a way for him to come back, it likely wouldn't have worked. He had to fully believe that he was going to die for the plan to work.
4. Notice how had Harry not saved Draco back in the Room of Requirement, he wouldn't have been able to tell Narcissa that he was alive and safe. What comes around goes around. Additionally, Draco never wanted to be evil. Notice how he only went to the other side when she called out to him. He just wanted his life back.
5. There is a really satisfying scene in the books before that final battle where Harry explains to Voldemort why everything is failing for him. He explains that when he "died" in the forest, he cast the same protection on everyone on his side that his mother cast on him. It actually rendered all his spells completely useless, so Voldemort can't ever hurt anyone again.
6. In that ending scene, Harry and Ron are Aurors. He also made sure to posthumously clear Snape's name so that the wizarding world would know him as a hero and not a traitor. Hermione is actually the Minister of Magic. Neville teaches Herbology at Hogwarts, and Minerva is the new headmaster. Sadly, Neville and Luna don't end up together but they did date for a while.
Again, amazing reaction! Definitely earned a sub. I HIGHLY recommend reading the books if you're into reading. There are so many extra details that you get to learn via the novels.
You forget one thing James nearly sexually assault Severus but threatening to show Severus' underwear. That is disgusting and James never appoligised to Severus for that. If Severus was a girl most people would have reacted differently.
Also Luna marries Newt Scamanders grandson,.(the main character in fantastic beasts)
I read the books many years ago, i don't remember... Voldemort takes Harry's blood to overcome Lily's protection, doesn't it? Infact then he can touch Harry...
No matter how many times I hear Snape say always, I am crying uncontrollably!
Glad I am not alone in that!
It was hard waiting for the movies (and books) but there was NOTHING like the energy at the midnight releases. Everyone shows up dressed in their witch and wizarding clothes, strangers having in depth conversations about theories and favorites. Even the midnight book releases were incredible.
As soon as they announced the date of the seventh book's release, I requested the day off from work and stocked up on snacks and stuff to drink. As soon as I picked up my book at midnight I went home, announced on Facebook that I would be unreachable until further notice and read for 11 hours straight.
I also went as Molly Weasley every Halloween.
I worked in an airport and i used to love watching people walking by with the newest Harry Potter book under their arm or in their bag. Little kids, young adults, middle aged parents, elderly people... it was a glorious time. It was something we all had in common, despite everything else that otherwise could have divided us.
Watching the movies with you brought that all back again. Thank you. I'm so glad you enjoyed the journey.
Amazing!! 😍 🪄 ✨
great reaction videos, well said ❤ same amazing experience! and after getting my book I would read as long as possible to finish too. The last book I was at my friends house after we got our copies and we both finished it at the same time in 10 hours staying up all night.
Absolutely. The wait for Order of the Phoenix was almost three years I think. It was wonderful to have something that really united people from all walks of life, all ages. and Rowling's story was so well crafted, so long planned, I went back and reread the whole series and everything was so different knowing the whole story! She put all the clues in there all the way back to book 1...
You are the first reactor that knew that she couldn't present that wand because it would have been reported as stolen. Clever Captain! I will return with comments after I finish watching your reaction.
Nothing gets past the captain! Except Ron accidently getting love potioned. Ah well you can't win 'em all
@@CaptainTinny 🤣🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣🤣
@@CaptainTinnyyep! Every reaction I’ve seen always says “show them the wand, you have it”. 50 points to the Captain 👍
@@AnjeannetteMarie-Swifie4Ever 50 points to Gryffindor!
To be fair they really don't make it clear in the movie. They show that they have the wand in the beach house, then they get asked to show the wand at Gringotts, seemingly so they can prove it's her. Basic logic says to show the wand, and I get why people don't understand why they don't. The ONLY clue given to movie watchers is Griphook saying "They've been warned!", but they don't expand on that line at all, and I think a lot of people who don't have the context of having read the books just have NO idea what the full extent of that line really means.
Honestly, I don't know why they even mentioned having Bellatrix's wand in the first place, because it serves LITERALLY ZERO PURPOSE in the movie. It, with the "they've been warned" line, are like little bread crumbs for the book readers I guess, and it's genuine continuity....they _would_ have her wand, because Dobby took it. But having the line about her wand at the house, followed ALMOST IMMEDIATELY by "please show us your wand, Bellatrix" and then not doing so is such a "??????" moment when you don't know the context from the book. I think a lot of people would have just been less confused if they didn't mention it. Most would've probably forgotten by the beginning of this film that Dobby took it anyway, or figured there was some reason they didn't have it.
That being said, it is still possible to put things together and realize that presenting a wand which is known to have been stolen might not work out in your favor, so props to him. I've explained it to so many reactors because they are always so confused. 😅
hey bro,
Snape also hid the sword, that patronis spell led the kids to the sword! (details are awesome)
holy smokes rich what a catch
Also, the first who mentioned that he deflected the shots to the two death eaters! You are my favorite HP Reactor now!
hell yeah 😁also that moment where you called dobboy "donny" still lives rent free in my head. That just tickeled me so much for some reason lmaoooo
@@CaptainTinny That damn autocorrect! I laugh at your response often!
I can’t explain to you how amazing it was to live thru this phenomenon in real time. We had to wait years between books and it was MAGICAL when we got the next installment- waiting in line at bookstores for the midnight release, then the movies. One of the best experiences of my life. Please read or listen to the audiobooks, there’s SO much more to this rich saga. I promise you won’t regret the time you invest in reading/ listening. It’s written so well, funny, charming, sad and beautiful. #ALWAYS 💜
Agreed, 2001-2011 for me as well were great years in the midst of HP.
Also when Draco’s mom asked Harry if Draco is alive and he nodded that’s what convinced her to lie to Voldemort
New Sub of Capt. Tinny as of today. Really enjoyed your reaction to Deathly Hallows Pt. 2. But brought back memories of when you wondered about being an HP movie fan back in the day and having to wait for each movie to be released. I remember standing in a long line outside an IMAX theatre with hundreds of HP fans all waiting to get in to see the final movie of this series. Some in line had read the books but others, like me, hadn't, and we didn't want to spoil the experience by knowing some of the major plot twists ahead of time. And when the Snape twist was shown people were literally crying in the theatre. What a time. What a movie franchise. What a life.
this is one of the best film series i've ever seen thats for sure 🥳
It was really smart to watch the movies first. Because I read the books first, when I saw the movies I couldn't completely enjoy them because I was too distracted by what was different or missing.
"You gotta destroy it... it shouldn't even exist..." - great insight man! In the book Harry doesn't break it, he puts it back "where it came from" - aka Dumbledore's grave. That way, if Harry dies undefeated, the wand's power will break.
At the least, he should've repaired his holly and phoenix wand like he did in the book
@Captain Tinny
I have enjoyed every minute of this wonderful HP journey with you.
Thank you for all the work you put into your reactions.❤
Bless you!
Thank you very much 🥰
Beautiful reaction Cap'n, it's been quite a ride. Very nice observational skills you have, I think you're the only reactor that noticed Snape redirecting McGonagall's fire into the Carrows before taking their wands. If you get the chance, you might like to check out the deleted scenes from Deathly Hallows, you may find it interesting; particularly the scenes involving Aunt Petunia & Dudleys goodbyes and an extra scene involving Draco at the final battle - it's something that many people feel should have been left in.
He didn't take their wands, he just incapacitated them. Look at the sister after he flies out the window. She has her wand in her hand. He didn't need to take them. He knows McGonagall can handle the Carrows.. easy work for her. Everything else u said is spot on tho..
All 3 should've been left in.
30:10 : Narcissa was able to lie to Voldemort, the greatest Legilimens of all times, with Occlumency, that Snape tried to teach Harry. Making it the second of three times Harry was saved by a mother's love : first by her own mother, second by Narcissa and her love for Draco, and third by Molly and her love for her family and only daughter.
A mother’s love. Nothing else like it 😤
Neville Longbottom- in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: Afraid of Professor Snape
Neville Longbottom- in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, Pt, 2: Tells off Lord Voldemort and kills Nagini.
Neville is simply the best
@@CaptainTinny Yes, I totally agree. He came a long way since the beginning of the series.
Oh, man.... seeing Fred laying on the floor in the Great Hall dead is heartbreaking,. But seeing Ron, who's usually so cheerful, break down in tears makes it worse every time I watch. It's even worse for George. He was never able to cast the Patronus Charm again, since it relies on a person's happiest memories to function and all of his happy memories involved his twin brother Fred. also, the prophecy spoke of a boy born at the end of July....there were actually two: Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom. They were born in the same month and year, but Neville is only one day older than Harry.
Yes great observations many dont pick up on the redirection of the spell onto the carrows and the fact thay he only defends never attacks Minerva. I LOVED that you called Dumbledore by his full names well done. Your emotions were exactly the same as ours all those years ago. Even those of us who had read th ebooks cried seeing it brought to life like that and Alan Rickmans acting was superb. Harry was saved twice by a mothers love once by Lily and again by Narcissa. Voldy had not counted on two things. First that when he was resurected and some of Harrys blood was used, some of Lilys protection of Harry went with it. Secondly because the wand answered to Harry it could not be used to kill its true master so it only killed the part of Voldy in Harry which Voldy did not know existed.
and the scene when Tinny mentioned Snape wasn't expecting McGonnagal to step up was to me, more he didn't want to attack her, a small touch that lets us know whose side he is on
Been waiting on that Molly vs Bellatrix moment xD I don't know how much of Dame Julie Walters' work is known down under but here in her homeland she's been a much loved comedy titan since the 80's, we love her ❤
All good choices for next reactions, would love SW and The Hobbit to be dusted off but Pulp Fiction and Fight Club (featuring Bellatrix lol) are great bucket-list picks too. It's all good 🙏
Another thing you should know that the moment they knew harry's alife , George actually turned happily beside him to celebrate with his twin forgetting he did pass away..
I have really loved your reactions and couldn't wait for you to get this one. At the same time, I didn't want it to come to an end because there is NOTHING like Harry Potter. Although I found you through the HP series, I will go back and see other things you have reacted to and follow to see where you are going next. I hope you go to see the HP 20th-year anniversary, as well as get sorted to your house if you haven't done so. I suspect that you are Ravenclaw because you are so clever! As for the new series, my vote would be the Indiana Jones series, or the Planet of the Apes franchise, I'm talking Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn and War. The ones with Andy Serkis. Tom Felton is in the first one.
Again, great job with my favorite franchise! Until the next!
Harry’s other son I believe is named James Sirius Potter
You will not be prepared for the plot twist
I'm so excited to see this reaction....I feel like you're going to need a hug after ❤️
20 hugs plz 😭
You should know that in fact snape went to Voldemort asked him to spare lily's life ,he was courageous enough to do so , but Voldemort said he can find another one thinking it's just lust ,
Cause Voldemort's never really known what love is
Voldemort is broken
"Neville Longbottom!! When did we go from goofy to daddy?!" 😂😂😂😭
How true is it tho!!! The glow up was insane
@@CaptainTinny his glow up after the movies is more insane. He got super hot 🔥 🥵
One of the many comments that had me laughing out loud 🤣🤣
He hated James because he was constantly bullied by James and his friends.
I hate James too
I also believe that Harry was made the Godfather of Remus son
Yes, he was. His name was Teddy... And Harry swore to always be there for him.
Alan Rickman wanted to leave the Harry Potter series but JK Rowling convinced him to stay by telling him Snapes fate he was the only 1 who knew and it convinced him to continue the Harry Potter movies till the end
Feel that's probably why they left out most of the memories detailed in the book. Snape comes across much more likable in the movie as a result.
@@shraniken I guess so but they could have just left the memories out to save movie time
Great reaction! I love how enthusiastic you are, it makes it fun to watch! Also, I'm pretty impressed that you caught what Snape was doing with the other two death-eaters when he battled McGonagall.
Something that just hit me watching this reaction (great reaction, by the way! the entire series reaction has been wonderful! you're so hilarious! lol): Snape died thinking that Lily's child was marching to his death. I don't believe Dumbledore informed him of the particulars of Harry potentially surviving sacrificing himself to Voldemort, so he probably thought Harry would go to his death, and then the survivors would finish off Voldemort. Book Snape is a lot more of an asshole, but he's still a sympathetic and tragic character, and one of my favorites in the series (no one beats Luna and Hermione for me as faves lol)
Enother Intresting fact too is, that Peter Pattingrew in his hogwarts age was in house Griffendor.
So it gives a evil Griffendor Same like on the other side it gives on the otherside a hero person in slitherin too. So at least Not all slitherins are good Same like not all grivendors are good.
I never understood why the filmmakers chose that particular moment for Ron and Hermione's first kiss. They were literally just drenched in water that came from the school's plumbing and most likely contained a lot of not-so-pleasant stuff. It's not exactly the kind of moment that would make someone want to go in for a kiss. lol
In the book is was way better. Cause ron said they needed to warn the house elfs in the kitchen so they could get to safty. And then Hermione kissed him
Oh, man.... seeing Fred laying on the floor in the Great Hall dead is heartbreaking, but seeing Ron, who's usually so cheerful, break down in tears makes it worse every time I watch.
Also, I found it really endearing what Harry and Ginny named their three kids:
James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter and Lily Luna Potter.
It's really interesting as well when you learn that Neville is a technical part of the prophecy that Snape and Dumbledore were talking about. The prophecy about a baby boy born at the end of July. Harry and Neville were born in the same month and year, but Neville is literally only one day older than Harry.
Backstory on why Lily Evans (later Potter) married James Potter:
When they were younger, Severus accidentally insulted Lily by calling her a Mudblood during a disagreement and she walked off in disbelief. He never got the opportunity to apologize for it. He lived a life with a broken heart over what he said.
He did try to apologize in the book. Lily just wouldn't accept it since he thought of all other muggleborns as mudbloods. Plus she didn't like the awful friends he had or the nasty things they did. All if them became death eaters like Snape did. He was doing it because he was the one who overheard part of the prophecy and repeated it to Voldemort. When it caused Voldemort to go after her family Snape went to Dumbledore fir help to save Lily and Lily alone was all he cares about.
@@toodlescae My mistake. Still a sad story.
You don't "accidentally" call someone a slur.
WAIT I never noticed it before but at 33:14, Ron casted a green spell trying to destroy Nagini, did he cast Avada Kedavra?
To be clear, James did NOT "steal" Lily from Severeus. Snape was basically a creepy incel. He had a massive crush on Lily and they were best friends up to and until he called her a slur because he was mad/jealous James had a thing for Lily even though Lily thought James was an ass. Snape was in love with Lily and ultimately did the right thing by helping Dumbledore but that doesn't excuse that he abused and bullied children, was the equivalent of a Nazi until it affected him (he didn't mind one bit until Voldy wanted the Potters), and was an all around jerk. It's a great scene in the movie but it's different in the books. Snape doesn't automatically ask Dumbledore to hide them all. He only asks him to hide Lily. He doesn't care about Harry or James or anything that Lily loves (her family), he only cares about himself. Only after Dumbledore calls him out on it does he ask to hide all three. It isn't until Lily is dead and Voldemort has disappeared that he decides to switch sides. Snape is a complicated character but the movies and Alan Rickman's charm really help in rehabbing how the character is perceived.
Loved these reactions! Glad i stumbled across you 🙏 thanks algorithm! You really did notice a load of things other reactors didnt 😊 and youre funny and cute, so that helps, too, haha! G'day mate!
You’re too kind Rhi 😩 thank you ❤️
It's amazing how you noticed and pieced together so many clues throughout this movie, boggart turning into a moon for lupin, Crouch jr/madeye tongue tick, Snape deflecting the spells onto the death eaters to name a few. No one that I've watched have picked them up as quick as you.
I've never said this before on a reaction, but it has been a pleasure watching this series with you, and I can't wait to check out more of your reaction 😊
Oh...and agree, Snape was definitely bullied by James and his mates.
I still remember what you said if something happened to 1 of the Weasley twins
Can't believe they would do that to the twins smh
Lol I remember too and I got so mad coz I knew what was coming
The "Always" gets me. I have to laugh at myself to stop from shedding tears.
Lovely reaction. I thought you might like to read one of my favorite scenes from the book since it concerns our queen, McGonagall:
"Get back!" Shouted Ron, and he, Harry, and Hermione flattened themselves against a door as a herd of galloping desks thundered past, shepherded by a sprinting Professor McGonagall. She appeared not to notice them: her hair had come down and there was a gash on her cheek. As she turned the corner, they heard her scream, "CHARGE!"
Love it!!!! 😍
One thing that wasn't explained in the movie that was in the book is how Harry survived. From what the information is available, a lot of people infer that it is from the Resurrection Stone. However, the only thing the Resurrection Stone is what let him see his deceased loved ones. It is the "correct" way to use it: to fetch the dead in order to make your passing easier. The reason Harry survived is because of the fact that Voldemort used HIS blood to return to a body. Because of that, Harry was bound to life as long as Voldemort was alive. So Voldemort LITERALLY couldn't have ever killed him. Also because Harry was the master of the Elder Wand, nobody could ever use it to harm him in any way. Basically Harry was DOUBLY invincible against ol' Voldy lmao. Loved the reactions. Absolutely subbed
Ahhh that makes so much sense! I do remember Peter Pettigrew cutting Harry open for his blood at the end of the tri-wizard tournament, damn I didn't even think about that! 👀
the movie does take some liberties, but the Snape scene is still one of the best.
in the book:
- Snape was not at Godric's Hollow on the night of the Potter's deaths and;
- In the flashback where James is bullying Severus, Lily comes to the defense of Severus and tells James to let him down. When getting up, Snape calls Lily a Mudblood and says he doesn't need her help.
Lily stops being Snape's friend because he won't give up his love of the Dark Arts, something that - had he given up - he could've probably got together with her because Lily hated James until their Seventh Year.
- Finally, Harry is so disturbed by witnessing his father (and Sirius) bullying Snape, he talks to Remus and Sirius and asks them, basically, wtf. Sirius and Remus both explain that there were a lot of times Snape attacked them too lol
Hmmm quite interesting 🤔
You could look at the fantastic beasts series. Also the fan films: Dumbledore verses Grindlewold, The sisters of the house Black, Nevil Longbottom and the black witch, Severus Snape verses the marauders. All are prequills.
I always wonder how would someone would react after viewing Snape tears... Just imagine to discover that the person you have hated your whole life, was in fact your true protector... The remorse... ufft!
the snape part makes me cry too
Same bro
Books. The books were available. And all the details were there, including those completely left out of the movies. Books rule.
By far my favorite Harry Potter movie mainly because I always liked movies and video games that has a lot of action and suspense in them
I loved this video! You got so emotionally invested, and you picked up on a lot of the more subtle nuances that a lot of reactors missed. Great job!
That was a real honest reaction and I liked it alot. When the tears came you got my sub xD
The final 'skinny' on the Elder Wand issue; you know how Dumbledore had a better grasp on what's going on and what people are likely to do?
Basic wand lore says the following:
-The wand chooses the wizard.
Initially, a young wizard/witch is chosen by a wand that recognizes kindred character/characteristics. If you share enough basic qualities, the wand is attracted to the person who embodies them.
-The wand is the conduit of the wizard's/witch's will.
A wizard's/witch's willpower, courage, passion is channeled through the wand, powering the wizard's/witch's magical ability.
-The wand will change loyalty if another witch or wizard disarms its master.
The wand will perform best in the hands of its master, but if the master proves weak (through being disarmed), the wand loses respect and will afterwards only serve the one who disarmed its previous master.
-Wands do not change loyalty when separated by distance or by being one of many wands owned.
If you leave your wand home for any period of time and at any distance, it does not affect the wand's loyalty.
If you own more than one wand (through purchase or gained through disarming others), it does not affect their loyalty even if you primarily use only one wand; they all consider you their master.
-Wands will refuse to kill their master.
If you borrow, find, or steal someone's wand, it still cannot be used to kill its master; you might not know who the wand's master is, but the wand will recognize its true master and refuse to kill its master.

Current backstory on the Elder Wand, the most powerful wand in the world:
Dumbledore won the Elder Wand in a duel with Grindelwald.
In the Astronomy Tower at Hogwarts, just before he died, Dumbledore was in a wand duel with Draco Malfoy.
Dumbledore, with no witness except Harry, told Draco 'I'll make it easy for you' as Dumbledore casually pulled out the Elder Wand. Dumbledore was banking on Draco being so revved up on adrenalin that he would reflexively disarm Dumbledore, which he did.
Draco is now the new master of the Elder Wand.
But he doesn't know that, doesn't even think about it. He's so panicky, it just doesn't register.
After collecting Dumbledore's body, they also gather up his wand, presumably assuming it had fallen when he fell.
The Elder Wand is buried with Dumbledore.
But it still answers to its new master, Draco, and Draco still doesn't know.
In the Malfoy mansion, just before Dobby disapparates everybody to safety by the Shell Cottage, Harry wrestles Draco's original wand from him.
It may not have been a wand duel, but Harry disarmed him nonetheless.
Harry is now the new master of Draco's original wand, which is verified by Ollivander as now loyal to Harry.
But Harry is now also the master of ALL of Draco's wands, even the wands he doesn't realize he has.
Harry is now the true master of the Elder Wand.
Voldemort took DRACO's Elder Wand out of Dumbledore's grave.
Voldy finds the Elder Wand resists him, especially after Harry disarms Draco and the Elder Wand now only recognizes Harry as its true master.
Voldy assumes the wand, now cracking under his use, isn't serving him because Snape killed its last master, Dumbledore.
Voldy has that wrong, and Snape does not correct him.
But then Voldemort kills Snape, so it will let him kill Harry.
In the Forbidden Forest, Harry finally arrives to submit to Voldemort's killing curse.
Neither realizes the Elder Wand actually serves Harry, so won't kill him.
But Harry is an unintentional horcrux; he carries a piece of Voldemort's soul in him, like a parasite.
The Elder Wand won't kill Harry, but is quite happy to kill that piece of Voldemort's soul in Harry.
Harry is taken to the In-Between Place where he is finally separated from that piece of Voldemort's soul.
Not being actually dead, Harry has a choice to return to life, and does.
At Hogwarts, all his horcruxes destroyed except for Nagini, Voldemort tries again to use the Elder Wand to kill Harry, but no wand will kill its true master, so it's a stalemate until Neville destroys Nagini.
It's then that the Elder Wand fights back, corrupting Voldy's wand hand and destroying him.
That's when Harry finally collects HIS Elder Wand.

I think Dumbledore planned this switcheroo with the Elder Wand, partly to keep Voldemort from getting the Elder Wand's loyalty and partly to protect Harry's life.
I think that was what was behind Dumbledore's limp-handed display of the Elder Wand to Draco, back in the Astronomy Tower the night he died.
I’m a 27 year old man and Alan Rickman saying “always” gets me every time
best film series ever
Thanks for the series. Good job.
Thanks so much for watching :)
If you notice everyone keep saying that Harry looks like James but he has his mother's eyes, that's why snipe disliked him because he reminded him of James but right before he died he looked into his eyes and finally saw the Lily in Harry
Ahoy Cap'n! New subscriber here from Richmond, Virginia, USA. UA-cam suggested this video to me, I jumped into it without even watching your earlier Harry Potter videos to see how you would react to the emotional parts and that alone was enough for me to subscribe! Can't wait to go hop into your Back to the Future video now since that is my all time favorite movie!
Cheers mate! 💪🏻
You should definitely do a video watching the 20th anniversary celebration!
I definitely agree with you on that
hey man, I love the reaction and your analysing! I have a hunch you got spoiled in the comments with Lily's patronus as you knew it before movie told it to you.
have a great day and good luck on youtube journey!
Yeah people had previously told me to remember that Lily’s patronus was a doe and James was a stag
@@CaptainTinny it goes even further than that - James was an animagus that could turn into a literal stag. It was common that the patronus looked like animagus - as McGonagall's patronus was a cat with glass-like rings around eyes, exactly like her animagus form ;D If you really like HP, I recommend you read / listen to audiobooks of this series, it's brilliant and so much deeper in exposition ;)
Loved your reaction ❤ I cried right along with you when the truths about Snape & Lily were revealed. Allen Rickman was a fantastic actor 🕊
Thinking you might enjoy another of his movies, "Galaxy Quest". It's a super fun movie that would be best viewed after you're familiar with the "Star Trek" series and the original series cast. "Galaxy Quest" is a very well done comedic homage to "Star Trek". The characters are delightful. Think you'd really like it ❤
You should do a reaction to the reunion!! I loved your film reactions and think you’d really enjoy it 😊
Do yourself a favourite man and read the books. Even though the movies were great, they obviously had to leave out some stuff - especially from the latter books. And it's understandable.
Anyway, read the books and you're gonna appreciate the whole story even more!
Your attention to detail is excellent. Subbed.
Great reactions. Ive just binge watched all the HP and now im about to start one the LOTR❤
❤️
It’s a terrible day for rain😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Great reaction! Snape's memories really are an emotional gut punch, I remember reading that part for the first time way back in '07 and just being gobsmacked , though the books go into much more detail as to why Lily and Snape fell apart, though we still don't know much about James other than "he matured" "he deflated his head" as said by Sirius and Remus in the 5th book, after Harry got that upset witnessing his Dad bully Snape in the memory he had to go and ask them about it, in whereas in the movie Harry just 'runs off' and it's forgotten.
There’s so much of Snape’s story missed in the movie though. Snape overheard Trelawny’s prediction. Snape’s is the one who told Voldemort about the prediction, and as a result, Voldemort determines that the child in the prediction was Harry, and so he went after the Potters. So yes, he appealed it to Dumbledore to help but ultimately Snape is the one that drove Voldemort to the Potters. Also, the fact that Snape was a pure blood bigot in school with the exception of Lily Evans, is what ultimately drove Lily to James. She could not wait not tolerate Snape’s bigotry. So did Snape try to make up for all the harm he did? Yes. But is he ultimately at fault for this harm? Yes. The movie Snape in the book Snape are very different people.
Most interesting. Is that why Trelawny was in the vision
Brilliant! Thank you.
thank you man in shorts, i too also hate pants
Anything you watch will be great. I would watch the fantastic beast movies sometime as they are in the Harry Potter world.
Please read the books, there is so much more that happens that they didnt put in the movie. I mostly listen to audiobooks
that "always" always gets me
As for what to watch now, you can't go wrong with The Princess Bride!
Also, I know it wasn't on your list, but I always highly recommend the miniseries Chernobyl - it's only 5 episodes, so pretty quick, but very much with the watch!
Worse than just losing Fred. J.K. Rowling said George was never able to conjure a Patronus again because all of his happiest memories were with Fred. He also avoided mirrors because he didn't want to look at his own reflection and see Fred there.
I really hate that woman for killing my favorite character. 16 years and I'm still not over it.
💔 😢
Great Reaction!
Lily married a bully.. we'll never know why. I'm so sorry that snape died, no one deserved to live and be still the headmaster of hogwarts like him ... he is a fucking hero ....rowling..
We’re in the endgame now
You took 40 minutes for a 2 hour movie and you decided to put almost everything of the Dumbledore Snape Scene in it with all the rest of the film suffering under it?
You deserve a raise
Can’t get a raise if I don’t get paid to begin with :p
When I was reading The Deathly Hallows, I started crying when Hedwig died (I think that's on page 7) and I did not stop crying until the end of the book.
Will you be reacting to the HP 20th anniversary?
If I do i'll probably watch it off camera
the last scene, lupin and tonk's s son is the older boy you see with harrys son pushing the carts
The Elder Wand transfers to the one who^disarms^ its previous owner. It need not be taken itself, and the owner need not be killed. But V only understands killing.
Great attention to detail! Enjoyed watching this one a lot
Cheers Harv! 👍🏻
You are the only reactor I have seen that noticed that Snape redirected those spells to hit the Carrows.
If you do Terminator of Indiana Jones consider watching both of those TV series.
I've watched this movie like 30 times and it still makes me cry
Loved you reactions! What a fun ride. Any chance you might consider reacting to some musicals? There are pro shots (filmed live performances) of some really great shows and not enough reactors are doing musicals. Heck a lot of people say they don’t like musicals but haven’t seen many or seen how they have become so much more modern then the golden era old school shows.
I highly recommend: Hamilton, Billy Elliot live (based on the movie, would be cool to see you react to both and compare them), Newsies the musical, come from away. They are all fantastic and all completely different genres/vibes.
