@joshuasimber8588 That one too, yes! You're so correct about that being mad eyes eyeball in the door. In the 7th book it goes into more detail about how Harry notices it and rips it out of the door in a rage.
Fun fact: The kids actually had to go to hogwarts, they had no choice. It was an easy way to threaten wizard parents. "You do something bad, we have your kids". Evil but effective
Which is why I hated the changes in 3-7 movies. The first two movies actually gave justice to Ron’s abilities. In fact the first two movies gave justice to both Ron and Hermione about their respective flaws and abilities.
The films sabotaged Ron's character. The books always made it clear that while Harry and Hermione were friends, Ron was his right-hand man. He was funny and resourceful and always managed to get over his jealousy for the greater good.
@@TheFridaFan let’s not forget Harry was always miserable without Ron. Ron’s goofy and funny personality always kept Harry happy, Hermione was a good friend but she lacked the communication skills that Harry looked up for in Ron and in the Weasley family in general. Ron was a bridge between Harry and Hermione but somehow Ron is showed as a 3rd wheel in the movie all the time.
The reason Ron’s arm was messed up after Disapparating was because whenever a witch or wizard uses the spell, they have to visualize the location they want to go. But if they can’t think of the place clearly enough, there’s a chance that they can get “Splinched”, which basically means that parts of them will not travel w/ them
It was mainly because Hermione took them to twelve Grimmauld Place, but had to dissaperate really fast to the forest. Also the guy chasing them grabbed his arm.
@@Popcorn-ch7uyThe guy grabbed Hermione when they were in the ministry and when they landed at number twelve he let go of her. So she took Harry and Ron elsewhere. For which neither Harry nor Ron were prepared and Ron got the short end of the stick there.
The reason why Hermione couldn’t help Dobby was because his injuries were too severe for him to be saved. He took the blade straight to his heart. Magic has its limits. Also, Hermione was not in great shape herself, having been tortured by Bellatrix. She also lacked the advanced medical training, though it really wouldn't have mattered if she were trained as Dobby was beyond help. And who knows if her essence of dittany would’ve worked on an elf.
Book Hermione wasn't even there on the beach, she went in a separate "apparition party" to Shell Cottage, and were resting inside. And I guess you're right, she probably didn't have the bag with Essense of Dittany anymore, anyway.
In the books no one, and I do mean no witch or wizard, could have helped save Dobby due to the knife Bellatrix uses to kill him. It’s a specialized blade with a non-healing curse so that whatever it cuts can never be undone and never heal. So to make matters worse, this is the same knife she uses to torture and carve “mud blood” into Hermione’s arm…which now will always be a fresh wound and say “mud blood” for the rest of her life.
There was a very sweet scene in the beginning that was deleted. When the Durselys were leaving Dudley shook Harry's hand. It didn't remotely make up for all the abuse over the years, but it was touching nevertheless that after Harry saved his life from the Dementors Dudley finally accepted him as his brother. Also, I just hope you are ready for "Part 2" and that you appreciate the enormous amount of restraint it takes for most of us to not point out things and give any spoilers!
theres also another scene where aunt Petunia is taking a moment inside the house, and he Harry tells her he's sorry, but they have to leave cuz they'll get tortured. Petunia answers him, saying she knows what they are capable of, and that the night Harry lost his mother, she lost a sister. Its obviously not any kind of redemption arc or declaration of love, but it does give us a better dimension into her character.
What makes Dobby's death even more sad is at the end of Chamber of Secrets, Harry made him promise to never try to save him again... And when he did, he died for it...
It was heartbreaking when Hermione chose to obliviate the Death Eaters memories in the diner. 1. The fact that she volunteered to be the one who did it 2. The last time she used that charm was on her parents
Finally, an actual reaction to the torture scene. I’ve lost count of the many reactions I’ve watched, and I can only recall one or two having an emotional response or making any comment on what was happening to Hermione or about her screams upsetting Ron and Harry. In the books, Ron is losing it in that cellar, screaming her name, ready to kill or die for her. The Malfoy Manor scene is not just significant for Harry, Draco, and Dobby.
The entire Harry Potter franchise has a special place in my heart because the last movie came out July 2011 a month after I graduated high school It was like having one last piece of childhood before actually starting to become an adult
Hannah looking at hermione and crying and saying "don't laugh at me , it's not funny" IT'S SUCH AN HERMIONE THING TO SAY. And I love that she undestood everything that hermione has gone through, because I think it's not shown on the movies. Yeah, Hermione lost her family for good, and they were alive, but she lost them. Also, when Bellatrix gets Hermione, on the books, she is severely tortured, in the books harry and ron can only listen to her scream. And it took her a while to recover from it. I love Hermione and I think Hannah gets her just as much as I do!!!!
No, Hermione does not use the Obliviate spell at the beginning of the movie, in the books. She uses ANOTHER spell, which, at the end of the wizarding war, she searches for her parents and reverts them so that her parents' memories return
I saw this in theatres. Everyone, including myself, were in tears from Dobby's death. It's safe to say that we were all collectively mourning. That scene never gets easier to watch.
Regarding Hannah's question about time-turners, it's mentioned in Book 5 that they were all destroyed during the fight at the Ministry. Seems Rowling knew she had written a game-breaker in, and nerfed it immediately😁
In the books Harry’s internal thoughts are that Dobby should have a funeral with the same kind of grandeur and recognition that Dumbledore did. So true! Dobby indirectly saved the world. They would’ve died without Dobby.
I've seen dozens and dozens of various reactions videos and man, you guys have THE MOST authentic reactions. It's like rewinding my mind to the time when I hadn't seen the movies or read the books and the excitement of JK's writing is right there. Thanks for bringing some joy to an old codger on a random Friday.
I’m sorry but I love how at 26:35 when Hannah starts crying and balling her eyes out he just started laughing. When I watched this with my brother he did the same thing 😂
OMG great reaction! Ash jumping and cheering for Dobby was so touching, it actually made me cry. i love you guys so much, cant wait for the last one. so excited!
Also Hanna…. In the book when they are still at Ron’s house…Hermonie, Harry and Ron talk about her parents when Hermonie is gonna through books she got from Dumbledore’s office with EXPLICIT instructions about how to make horcruxes - she has told them a lot about Harry and she knew that they would be in such danger so she did that and in the book Ron had a goul in their attic made to look like him so if the ministry comes to find Ron why he didn’t come back to school they wouldn’t get to close and his family would be safer
Idk something about Dobby’s death was the hardest for me in the movies. The acting, cinematography, and animation are so well done. Rewatching it with Hannah made me cry all over again. It’s something about how pure spirited Dobby was. All he cared about was saving Harry and his friends. It’s sad that he died even after Harry told him to never save his life ever again for this exact reason 😢

I grew up with Harry Potter. Saw every movie at midnight, and got every book the day they came out. I read every book EXCEPT the 7th for some reason i'll never understand, so I didn't know the story going into the 7th and 8th movies. Dobby dying is still one of the hardest character deaths ever for me. Saw the movie at midnight with a ton of other die hard fans but I had no clue that was coming.
I think i know why you couldn’t find it in yourself to read the 7th book. You obviously seemed to have liked the book series so I think you knew if you read the 7th book, the last book…that that would mean then end to Harry Potter. No more books to read no more stories. You might of been sad about it all finally coming to an end. And maybe you thought if you don’t read the last book it never has to end then. Though of course I could be wrong and it may not be that deep. But I just figured if you’re someone who really loved the books and the story that maybe that was why. I mean im a huge fan and I know I wish it would never end. And to always feel a part of the Harry Potter universe. ❤

This movie did a GREAT job portraying the books for me. The stakes are insanely high. The part I think did a literal perfect job on is the moments when they're walking in the rural areas, hiding in barns from Death Eater patrols, and Ron is listening to the Radio reading off the list of dead/missing wizards. It feels like you're in like a post-apocalyptic war, surviving a hostile invasion or something.

Ash… JK chose to write Hedwig die as a symbol of him completely losing his innocence in the sense of he knows the world is out to get everyone and no one is safe who fights Voldemort
@@samsprrr3548 It’s my phone that autocorrected it to Donny. After it happened to me in other comments to other reactors, I’ve been looking out for it now before I hit enter.
In the book, Bellatrix doesn’t torture Hermione by carving “Mudblood” into her. She goes one step further and uses the Cruciatus curse (torture curse) on her
The teacher killed at the start is Charity Burbage, professor of Muggle Studies (who only appears here in the films)...not Cybil Trelawny, professor of Divination...though I agree, the actress playing Charity in this movie, does look quite similar to Emma Thompson as Trelawny.
Some wounds you can not heal. As in real life. The knife was cursed by Black Magic. So she could not save Dobby. And rest in peace Dobby. One of my favorite characters.
All Timeturners were destroyed during the battle in the fifth book, so there are none left so time travel is now imposible. And Penelope Clearwater was a Ravelclaw girl that Ron's older brother Percy dated when he attended Hogwarts.
Harry and Voldemort were both descendants of the two Peverall brothers. 2nd brother=Cadmus: Which Voldemort is descendant of and acquired the ring with the Resurrection Stone from his uncle after his grandfather died, and Harry is descendant of the third brother=Ignotus: which he got the invisibility cloak after being passed on to James Potter. Before James was killed by Voldemort, Dumbledore asked if he could borrow to cloak to examine it. He knew it was one of the Deathly Hallows as it’s far older and far perfect than any invisibility cloaks in the world. So yeah, Harry and Voldemort are actually related.

@@30goals 100% agree. She’s awesome no question but if I had 10% of her beauty, this world would be nicer to me😂
You're so correct about that being mad eyes eyeball in the door. In the 7th book it goes into more detail about how Harry notices it and rips it out of the door in a rage.
That always made me so angry. How dare they do that to his eye?
Fun fact: The kids actually had to go to hogwarts, they had no choice. It was an easy way to threaten wizard parents. "You do something bad, we have your kids". Evil but effective
Why didn't they just leave Great Britain...
“And now she’s twerking for Voldemort” that line got me I’m not gonna lie 😂
They gave so much of Ron's lines in the books to Hermione in the movies. In the books, she he tended to panic.Ron was the clear headed one.
Which is why I hated the changes in 3-7 movies. The first two movies actually gave justice to Ron’s abilities. In fact the first two movies gave justice to both Ron and Hermione about their respective flaws and abilities.
typical sjw estrogen quotas in movie scripts. steal from the real and give to the fronters. femynysm 101/marxysm 101
Yep
I can't stress enough how much I am looking forward for the last movie reaction. Its gonna be wild
The three D's
@@Saacary 😊
@@Popcorn-ch7uyThe guy grabbed Hermione when they were in the ministry and when they landed at number twelve he let go of her. So she took Harry and Ron elsewhere. For which neither Harry nor Ron were prepared and Ron got the short end of the stick there.
@silverkyre short end of the stick? Being saved by hermione vs caught by yaxley?
The reason why Hermione couldn’t help Dobby was because his injuries were too severe for him to be saved. He took the blade straight to his heart. Magic has its limits. Also, Hermione was not in great shape herself, having been tortured by Bellatrix. She also lacked the advanced medical training, though it really wouldn't have mattered if she were trained as Dobby was beyond help. And who knows if her essence of dittany would’ve worked on an elf.
Who told you that? That wasn't the reason, but there is a reason why they couldn't heal him
Book Hermione wasn't even there on the beach, she went in a separate "apparition party" to Shell Cottage, and were resting inside. And I guess you're right, she probably didn't have the bag with Essense of Dittany anymore, anyway.
@@flugsven That’s what I mean by “she wasn’t in the greatest shape” because she was already in Shell cottage being tended to by Fleur and Bill.
@@ericcarbone6382 Ummm . . . I’m gonna have to go back and read Hallows again because I don’t recall the knife being cursed at all. Possible tho.
Yeah of all the deleted scenes I wish they kept the one where Dudley said “I don’t think you’re a waste of space”
And whats worse.. You understand WHY the durselys were so overwhelmingly horrible to Harry by the end of it.
theres also another scene where aunt Petunia is taking a moment inside the house, and he Harry tells her he's sorry, but they have to leave cuz they'll get tortured. Petunia answers him, saying she knows what they are capable of, and that the night Harry lost his mother, she lost a sister.
Its obviously not any kind of redemption arc or declaration of love, but it does give us a better dimension into her character.
@@mattgarrett2583 Sorry there is nooo justifying it. Petunia loosing her sister was not his fault he was a baby
@@raquelsanchez288 I wish they were watching the extended versions
What makes Dobby's death even more sad is at the end of Chamber of Secrets, Harry made him promise to never try to save him again... And when he did, he died for it...
It was heartbreaking when Hermione chose to obliviate the Death Eaters memories in the diner.
1. The fact that she volunteered to be the one who did it
2. The last time she used that charm was on her parents
I love how you almost broke down describing Dobby's unfortunate, yet courages, fate. That scene gets me every time.
The entire Harry Potter franchise has a special place in my heart because the last movie came out July 2011 a month after I graduated high school
It was like having one last piece of childhood before actually starting to become an adult
The lady crying in these Harry Potter films just proves how much of a caring person she actually is, I cried at most of these and still do
This is one of the best reactions I ever watched. The look of realisation when Bellatrix throws the knife!
Appreciate you Jennifer ☺️
I love Hannah’s screams in Hedwigs death and the old man escaping the wedding and when Bellatrix is torturing Hermione 😂
“Now she’s twerking for Voldemort” is the best umbridge line ever 🤣
37:54 the way y’all face changed when you noticed that flying blade was priceless.
9:20 "that's someone's meal down there now" my god, at first I had goosebumps and after I heard what Ash said I wheezed 😂💀✨
100k minimum has never been more deserved. You two are funny af. Loving the journey.
Hannah and Ash are gonna loose their shit when they see deathly hallows part 2. Wow such a mixture of emotions.
I'm dying right now, I'm half cut tearing up with you both about dobby and ash says give him a juice as I'm drinking a juice and just could stop laughing and felt bad for laughing and made me laugh more.
Honestly can't get enough of your reactions, ash try learn and listen to Hannah's perspectives more, hannah you have a heart of gold and you are both so funny and witty and love ur banter. Hannah became my favorite reactors to got
Well spotted Hannah 👌🙌 that was Mad-eyes eye on the office door, in the books Harry steals it back and and gives it a burial out of respect 👍
You two are hilarious and aren’t afraid to show emotions. You two are gems, thanks for making me laugh so many times. Great reaction, HP 8.2 can’t come soon enough.
Thank you for the love and being on this journey with us mate ❤️
@@amber.ren_1995 I didn't read the last book until much later, but it was because I was at that age where I was always outside late at night and lazy when In bed lol
@@amber.ren_1995 This happened to me. I got halfway through and something hit me. I had already known that there was going to be an epilogue at the end. And I couldn't do it. I put it down and haven't touched it since.
Same, only I did read the book. Had to pause for a week after Dobby died and then again for another week when Snape's whole story was revealed.
everytime you use the "daddy chill" meme it just makes me LAUGH SO HARD, if I was drinkin something everytime this appears I would certanly spilling drink through my nose
Damn Ash you are almost at 100k! I am with you since 14k if I remember correctly! I am so happy for you brother!
Appreciate all the support you legend ❤️
You can visit dobby's grave in wales! Its the same beach and people leave painted rocks there for him!
Yesssss! Always look forward to reactions from you two!
Dobby made the ultimate sacrifice to save Harry and his friends. The way I see it, Dobby didn't just die as a Free Elf. He died a hero.
Dobby literally dying
Hannah: “give him the juice”. Made me piss I dunno why 😂😂
Hannah: "OH Dobby!!!!.. I love him so much..."
Me: "oh no...."
I need Part 2 IMMEDIATELY! Love your reactions!
Losing Dobby was absolutely heart breaking! 😭 even though I’ve seen this whole series many times and I cry every time I watch that scene. The next movie is my favorite of all of them, can’t wait to see your reaction! Love you guys and your adorable relationship and brilliant insights! Also, Hannah, how do you pull off every style?? I’d look ridiculous in that blue top but you look amazing, stunning and so classy, as always! You’re Gorgeous, girl!! 🔥🔥🔥
Congrats ash on the final path to 100k subs! Smashing it bro! Ain’t many people like you guys out there! You and Hannah are grand daddy/mummy of reactors 👊🏻👊🏻 keep em coming ash! Keep us on our lil tinsletoes 😜
My brother ❤️
Hannah I ADORE YOUR EMOTIONAL REACTIONS. She is a gem, her pure heart!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Preachhh!!
In the books, Dobby is in GoF, OotP and HBP, I wish he appeared more in the films because it felt like they just brought him back to die
You two are just so wholesome, and cool! I have so much fun watching y'alls reactions. 😂👍
"That's someone's meal down there now" ASH HOW COULD YOU 😂😂
“Voldemort you ain’t catching me bitch!” I can’t 😂😂😂😂😂
What an epic reaction. Watching the love Hannah had on her face for Dobbie while waiting for that end scene was nuts. Like, she is gonna lose it!……and she did. She still has Ash though, so…….. BOOM! 😎👍🏼
I know it wasn't the best time but I completely lost it when Hannah said "give him the juice" lol😂🤣
11:36: The actor playing Bill Weasley (married to Fleur) is Domhnall Gleeson, one of Brendan Gleeson's sons. (Mad-Eye Moody)
Omg been waiting forever for this!!
You two are hilarious as always. I love Ash but there is just something about Hannah that I adore. She really is the best female reactor ever. Shes genuine with a good heart. If she crys I cry. Keep up the Great work you two. Dont make us wait forever for part 2. PLEASE! lol♥️♥️♥️♥️
"go to trust pilot...give her one star"...I just wet myself...you two are just brilliant...
I never cry during movies... I saw this in the theater and was almost sobbing during dobby death, my favorite character next to Neville!
I took my younger brothers to see it in theatres when it came out. Kids, grown adults were just sobbing. Never saw anything like it.
24:55 😅 Hannah telling of Ron and telling exactly how it is and making me fall in love with Scotland even more
Even though this was a sad movie in many parts you kept me smiling and laughing with your banter....love it...
Ash… JK chose to write Hedwig die as a symbol of him completely losing his innocence in the sense of he knows the world is out to get everyone and no one is safe who fights Voldemort
Hannah made me cry. That happens a lot while watching Donny’s death, but she had me straight out blubbering! Watch the last movie right away! Please!
Dobby get it right please.
@@samsprrr3548 It’s my phone that autocorrected it to Donny. After it happened to me in other comments to other reactors, I’ve been looking out for it now before I hit enter.
Stupid autocorrect. Did you really think I typed Donny instead of Dobby? I hate my phone sometimes!
“ I’ve never seen you look at me like that” “shut up” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
In the book, Bellatrix doesn’t torture Hermione by carving “Mudblood” into her. She goes one step further and uses the Cruciatus curse (torture curse) on her
26:07 " I would ABRA KADABRA both of you in the forehead" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"that's someone's meal down there now" 😂😂😂 omg
I’m so sorry for ur experience but you guys made me cry and laugh all at the same time 😭😂❤️, “give him the juice” mid sobbing killed me 😭😭😂😂😂😂
😂😂 no honestly I wish I could go back and experience it again, thank you for watching with us mate ❤️
This has probably been my favorite Harry Potter reaction series so far and I’ve pretty much watched all of them.
37:39🫰 "b*tch" 🤣🤣 got meee
Ash staring at her crying and smiling is exactly what I would be doing… y’all are too cute hahaha
You got yelled at for it too 😂
'Dobby is a free elf bitch' deserves merch haha .
The teacher killed at the start is Charity Burbage, professor of Muggle Studies (who only appears here in the films)...not Cybil Trelawny, professor of Divination...though I agree, the actress playing Charity in this movie, does look quite similar to Emma Thompson as Trelawny.
I remember when there were 2000 of us, and now you're about to break 100k. Congratulations my dude.
This was such a great reaction. Please do part 2 soon so we can wrap up the story! Your reaction will be so good!!
LETS GO!! Cant wait for part 2 already. GONNA BE A BIG ONE
The silent yelling during the Umbridge courtroom scene 😂😂😂
I loved your reactions so much. Reminded me of my own in the past when I experienced it for the first time. So many emotions. Crying.
Really appreciate you mate, thank you ❤️
Some wounds you can not heal.
Loved this reaction. You two better come prepared for the finale. It's gonna melt your brains.
I swear to God, you two were made for each other hahaha I love the chemistry!
Just finished binge watching all your Harry Potter reactions an gotta say you guys are awesome to watch! Can’t wait for the final part!
Literally can’t wait till you get to 100k subs, you both deserve this so much! Been one of the very few channels I’ve kept up with watching, you’re both so entertaining and funny to watch, keep it up both. 🔥❤️
Made my night mate, thank you for this ❤️👊🏽
I love your girlfriends emotional reaction to this, and to Hermione. This story, is so impactful, meant so much to so many and what I love is that it teaches us lessons, shows that sometimes we must sacrifice everything for the greater good and at the worst of times we must push through. And I am with her, that scene of them dancing is like a way of saying, it's bad, you lost ron, things are dark let's just have a moment of happiness, no matter how long it lasts, because what is to come is not going to be happy. :)
Finally! We been waiting. Please don’t make us wait months for the last movie.
You two are so fascinating and fun to watch.😂😂😂 As a Potterhead for decades, your reactions are so satisfying.
