Best, most thorough review of this vehicle on you tube!
this guy really is great, he should be on tv.
I totally agree. The best reviewer of vehicles. So good
A brilliant review thank you once again
True . . . .
The most affordable comfortable car, money can get!
Not to mention the quite ride inside an excellent isolated cabin.
it seems to be because you sit upright in a big armchair in most cars we tend to recline a little and this puts strain on our backs over long journeys but in the C5 you sit upright which is a lot more comfortable.
great review but most eco buttons now act on the turbo air intake reducing the airflow and this is particularly true of the Aircross 1.5 dci psa engine. At least the EAT8 auto box is a proper auto box with no dual clutch to replace and no dual mass flywheel to carry around sapping fuel consumption. for once a proper automatic gearbox unlike many other makes which leave you out of pocket replacing dual dry clutches and a dual mass flywheel at around a thousand pounds just for the parts every 8 years or so. tried to test the automatic breaking with my mechanic driving my C5 Aircross but he lost his bottle as he drove up to me 😂 lane assist I turn off a lot it is a dangerous gadget it will pull you back into a slip road as you leave the slip onto a motorway or change lanes to overtake on a dual carriageway trying to correct the steering pulling at the steering wheel, not a clever idea at all. if you are travelling many miles in one lane it is good to stop you wandering in your lane but the car is very well planted at speed and this isnt really a necessary add on.
After a short test drive and then purchase of my 2019 Automatic 1.5 diesel hdi aircross I drove home 150 miles in the pouring rain and the car gripped the road very well motorway and dual carriageway driving and it was very comfortable to drive. I acheived 58 MPG which beat my Dacia duster manual 1.5 diesel I used in part exchange for the Aircross by 6 MPG.
Might want to update the opening edit "Brand/Model" - oh, and more of Mark Nichol please, with some decent cars for him to review. Ta.
At least we can still watch the old Honest John videos
superb video! well done
Hi do you plan for a review of the PHEV version ?
This doesn't share a platform with the C3 and Crossland PF1 , it shares the EMP2 platform instead
How come you still can’t get LED headlights on ANY model of C5 Aircross in right-hand-drive markets like the UK, even as an option like you can in left-hand-drive markets, especially as the Peugeot 3008 offers them in RHD?
Here in the UK, we have to make do with old-fashioned halogen headlights like on an old Rover Metro - welcome to the 1990’s!
you can upgragde the H7 bulbs with Ring Automotive 200% brighter bulbs for around £30 a pair and they are easily fitted in about 10 mins, no more trips to halfords to have your bumper removed to fit bulbs Citroen have made the headlamp bulbs much more accessable than the older cars they produced. I didnt even have to take the battery out as it is mounted under the bulkhead. lots of space to fit new bulbs/upgrades making maintenance easier.
