Beauty + Practicality + COMFORT + safety
Exactly what family buyers need.
Great review. Volcano red paint looks more like faded 90s Vauxhall red to me.
agree on that one...looks faded.. well at least it wont fade in future anymore...
I test drove one a few years ago and was very tempted, but instead I chose its big brother, the DS 7 Crossback, and got one of those instead. I do agree that the C5 Aircross is more comfortable than the DS 7 though (only a bit)
Another thing is that in Spain you can see tons of the “regular” model, so not sure any of the setbacks you mention really care for the owners…
wait, your criticism of the rear seats is that there’s not a lot of room when slid forward? legroom looked fine. The car is flexible, it’s not a Tardis.
I think they had it all the way to the front, we have a 2020 c5 aircross 2 baby seats and a person in the middle fits just fine.
Excellent presentation style. I love quirky citroens, but is sick of tall riding crossovers. Can’t wait for the crossover trend to end.
If you miss the days of Clarkson, Hammond and May this reviewer is by far the best since those three and is also a female. Amazing reviewer and amazing car.
The Toyota RAV4 is the only mid size SUV you really need, or the Mazda CX-5 if you feel quirky. I think the C5 Aircross is good looking though
Funny. You are the only person who has not said the suspension is excellent.
Useless review. I actually own one, a 1.2T petrol, and it's much more supple everywhere compared to anything in its own class. Rear seat space is competitive and boot bigger than rivals. Again, refinement is also better than rivals I drove. It's not a sport car, duh, but who cars when it soaks up bumps and miles. You get used to the infotainment after about 2 hours of driving, and there is so much storage in the cabin . And the seats are perfect if you go to the gym, or the takeaway....
Buy for Comfort and relaxation and you'll be satisfied.
its so funny how carbuyer is exactly like carwow but mat watson just make carwow reviews 1000 times better
Nice presentation ,thank you ! Nice, big, comfortable and appealing car.
I like her style! Watch out Matt Watson!
Well here's the thing, the plug in hybrid may be the most economical in theory and on paper but if like me you regularly commute up and down motorways the diesel version will still be king.
Why isn’t the C5 Aircross offered with LED headlights in right-hand-drive markets like the UK, even as an option like it is in left-hand-drive markets?
As of December 2020, LED headlights became standard across the C5 Aircross SUV range. Our car was built prior to this date, but all new factory orders now come with LEDs.
Really loving the car buyer reviews again. Nicola is brilliant, fun and informative without being silly like some rival channels have become. Keep up the good work.
This only is the most decent styling of all latest citroen designs. The quirkiness kills.
I've driven the plugin hybrid version on Mallorca as a rental. Unfortunately that is complete useless, as you need a car pass to charge the car on public places (which you can't get as toerist). Charging the car is only at 15 Amps single phase, so it takes 9 hours to fillup. In the end only the gasoline was used...what a waste.
The PHEV model is so much more expensive than the others that you'll never make the money back in fuel savings. But you might in BIK tax, if you are a company car driver. But I'm sure it's a very nice car.
@ 1:48 👍💥🤩
Did I miss the price? Also unless you pop to Tesco 5 miles away twice a week on electric power those quoted mpg figures are just a joke.
@@chruth1986 phev = plug in electric hybrid. they can still be plugged in at your house
I somehow find the presenter biased. It seems like she making an effort to belittle the car.She in the back of the car and theres bags of legroom and head room and shes complaining the legroom. No thanks long live carwow
This lady is honest, homely and professional.. She is doing a great job and making a niche market in car presentations.. Think Jeremy Clarke in his early days but better dressed and well turned out. But less posh... Not a bad thing really..
Oh! How wrong can someone be of the suspension!? It is the comfiest I’ve driven, period!
It's been tuned for comfort, sure. But on the UK's broken roads it can sometimes get caught out by lumps or potholes - almost as if it's not quick enough to react!
it seems the reviewer don´t even understand what is the Hidraulic Suspension being used here... .. here is a tip... its not air supension...
Shame youtube keeps failing to play the video after successfully playing the ads.
@@carbuyer This happens on lots of UA-cam videos when using the ios UA-cam app but, for some reason, this video was particularly problematic.
CarWow
This person is a great reviewer 👍
Please try less hard to be amusing with your reviews - it’ll work better for you.
I really don't get the complaint about the auto gearstick being on the "wrong side". I have an auto version and once I'm driving I don't need to touch it. Having the tray nearer to me is much handier cos that's where I keep the sweets, gum, etc! I feel this criticism is just something the reviewers say cos there's not much else to complain about!
her charisma and presentation are some of the best in the business. she is rivalling mat Watson in term of fun and quality videos.
Couldn't care less for the Citroen but watched it through for the entertaining Nicola 😊
Europe gets led headlights while the UK only gets halogens 🤔
Depends on model mate, my friends got a 21 plate Shine Plus model and it’s got the led headlights 👍🏻
Correct, from December 2020 all models get LED lights. Our car was built before the cutoff.
She is the best reviewer of this channel
Keep only her!!!!
Well done 👏
BTW what is her name??
Thanks John! Rich does an awesome job too I think. I’m Nicola by the way :-)
She should double team up with Matt from carwow.
Be so good together I think! 😜
Another great Nicola vid!
Shame about the car! Lol😜
And the fact that LED headlights aren’t available at all for right-hand-drive cars, even as an option…
@@georgedowns4034 But I checked on the UK configurator and I couldn’t find any mention of LED headlights, even on the options list where the only option that was listed under Lighting & Visibility was ‘Panoramic opening glass roof (with electric interior blind)’.
Why would you want to fiddle with the infotainment system while you’re driving? You have to drive and watch the road!
❤
Citroën...meh, but I think Nicola is the best reviewer at the moment, nice one, I award you a 🐞(& I don't do that lightly)
@@carbuyer you are welcome, keep up the excellent work, more treats to follow 😄
Excellent review. The problem with French cars is that they look good on the outside but peel back the skin, they're reliability nightmares. I had a C3 Aircross - never encountered so many electrical issues. It spent more time in the dealership garage than on the driveway. It seems to be a common trait of French cars...
You just had a bad one. My c5 aircross is solid and lovely all the time and no issues.
Wow a lady reviews car.
What an annoying review... typical of a british media to an continental european brand (French ofc)...
Pretty woman
About as reliable as the UK weather..
Please stop trying to be Matt Watson. I don’t think the cheesy humour suits you
Just being me 🤷🏻♀️, my cheesy humour has landed me many pantomime roles over the years.
But Nicola is actually funny. I don't even watch carwow anymore because of the bad humour
Can you please marry me.....
Look, the car is just not good. Nicola is a pure gem though. I watch only for her brilliant review. She’s lovely.
Utter rubbish car
...with a fantastic design, great equipment and strong practicality...
God awful
I noticed the tyres were actually a sensible size and width, never seen the point of having huge tyres on a family hatchback
