No kidding... I'd never heard of them until last night and I've watched all the newer songs a dozen times each..... Unbelievably creative music and videos.... This older stuff seems like garage rock in comparison....
@@yragnellaable I hear where you're coming from, but nobody just pops out of the womb fully formed, you know? We all have periods of learning to use our tools, learning about ourselves, our expression, finding our voice, etc. and Dorian was still hoppin' along that path.
Tbh I wish they would write more music about consciousness / philosophy of mind. I got to meet them at The Science of Consciousness conferences in 2014 and 2016 and they were loved by everyone. But sadly the one who organizes the conference wasn't a fan of Clitopia when it came out right around then and I guess Dorian felt somewhat alienated from our group after that, which is understandable.
their style changed so much..... not even just in their appearance. this gives off some really neat vibes, idk why but it reminds me of the beatles but with a lil more edge
this is five months late buuutttt,,, fun bit of music trivia; there’s actually an entire genre dedicated to this sound/aesthetic. it’s called ‘sixties revival’! it’s basically just heavily sixties-influenced stuff with a harsher garage rock spin. i’m guessing dorian electra & the electrodes were just a very short lived sixties revival group! :00
Am I the only one that wants to see a collab with Dorian x Mars Argo? Both have interesting styles of their own and I’m sure what they could create together would be mind blowing.
I think this song sorta of explains it, she had a mindwash, you can even see how her right eye is now more closed than the left one. They did something to her mind. Maybe the party milk was laced with something.
I thought it was a chaotic mess the first time I listened to their newer stuff too, but it's the kind of thing you have to ease into to really get it. I found daddy like and listened for the jokes, then flamboyant (which my little sister adores) and gradually listened to more and more of the songs until I was in love with the entire flamboyant album. I was already a fan by the time My Agenda fully dropped so it was super exciting and I genuinely enjoy every single song on that album. The message of each and every song is something that is really important to me. I hope you are able to enjoy their music just as much as me someday, I really recommend "Mind-Body Problem" as a song with less of the auto-tune that might be putting you off, it's very underrated.
@@bandamani I remember when I discovered them. It was 2 in the morning and I was watching UA-cam stories. Then a weird video popped up, starting with a loud "D-D-D-DORIAN ELECTRA" and the face of a guy in blue, followed by an assortiment of random words and sounds. I had no idea has to what the fuck it was, but I knew that I loved the hell out of it. It was like I was a prophet from the Ancient Testament receiving a vision from God.
@@NIHIL_EGO lmao honestly that's the best way to describe it. I got an ad for Daddy Like and watched it confused, then searched for the song a couple of weeks later (thought Dorian was a cis man at the time lol). I enjoyed it, me and my younger brother wouldn't stop singing it around the house. That and Flamboyant were the only 2 songs I listened to for a while, I found Give Great Thanks and was disgusted by it (not sure why but i've seen the light and am obsessed with it now). Quarantine really changed me and my music taste lol. Dorian helped me in understanding and accepting the non-binary community, which I ended up being a part of funnily enough.
HAHAHA, I really want to know why you are so obsessed with they. It's fucking ridiculous seeing you in every video related to Dorian Electra. So, get a life!
Seeing the old Dorian and the one we have now is such a mindfuck.

Imagine what it's like for a person who've known them since Middle School (me) lol
@@Penguin619 What was Dorian like back then?

cant believe dorian invented science
They invented red
Dorian’s new stuff is fantastic but so is their old stuff, they’re just so good like that
dorian's sense of humor never changed lmao

wow what a musical genius
Uh...
Wow that song is so criminally underrated. And also catchy as hell.
It's cool to hear their voice without the extra effects too very tegan sara vibes but I like their music way better now
where did the electrodes go?
@Sofia Perez What happened to the rest of them?
@@CemeteryDriveClown late term abortion
I love this song definitely one of my favs by them. It takes me back to 2020-21. They’re such an awesome artist
omg i didn't know dorian had a twin sister with the same name
they've always been cool ok
Master mind yesterday, master mind today in 2021 and counting
DORIAN, WHERE ARE THE ELECTRODES
As a colorblind person im glad I can see this in full color
omg im in love
It feels weird to like things that some schools play in classes
Our Prof. posted this for our class on "What Mary didn't know"
If you see this Sir, damn!

2020..??! 🖤🖤
okay but this hits so hard
I bet very few people know that it is taken from Jackson’s (1982) thought experiment.
well, it is in the description of this video.
We all know. Idiot
This is a pleasant surprise
so weird seeing old dorian :00
flames
honestly
Great! John Horgan, the Science writer, brought me here.
Dorian's Larval stage.
Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. *pelvic thrust*
Awesome
Unus Annus energy to the max

What are you talking about my guy?
Why is she doing this crazy shit now?
Some shitty Gawker article pretty much insulted them, thus shifting from being a libertarian to what they are now.

She found out how to be more marketable. *Read between the lines* People
this, its ridiculous that people don't notice that she is primarily trolling LGBT people, very clever woman

wow this is terrible! the woman is kinda cute though.
So he/she? made good music 5 years ago.. listened first to some new stuff and it was quite trashy

They were a pro-capitalist libertarian, which is quite different from fascist. They’ve abandoned these ideas now and said they’re embarrassed by them.
@@nsca1483 I have never seen anything from Dorian about being embarrassed about being a libertarian.
