Who's still listening and or watching in 2021? I am this concert is amazing!
Me!!!
Me in Mississippi, I miss the 90’s. Peace out there world. 😎✌️
I am! I never tire of her.
10,000 Maniacs were always awesome with Natalie Merchant singing. I was sad when they went the separate ways, the band was never quite the same without her, although Mary Ramsey has a great voice, it's a different vibe.
I want to know what is it with this stupid recurring question? Just watch and add something of worth; this is not it. And then everything is "amazing"!! Be a bit more genuine man. And stay off my lawn!!!
I am still listening too this incredible band its 4th March 2023 and it is so fresh and could have been recorded yesterday
Going to see her April 28th! Love the new songs.
I saw them on the EDEN tour in San Diego.
Did you get to ?
@@AMEER-114- No. Never seen her in concert. I'm just glad I've got the chance to see her on this tour. What a great play list she will have.
How can anyone not just love Natalie Merchant?
Too quirky for me.
Love her voice, hate her politics
Her political opinions are atrocious… her early 90s haircut is unpleasant.. her decision to wear a black dress in front of a black background is downright unprofessional… her face is annoyingly smug and bovine…her yeast infection is off putting for the musicians…..her fat arms remind the audience of her disappointing, prematurely drooping , clumsy breasts …her earrings are funny in a hotel lobby gift shop way, I guess someone that’s into early 90s earrings loves them..
I discovered 10,000 Maniacs in 1985. I was at this show, 36 years a fan.
I was there, too! This was my first trip to Riverport (I live in Quincy, IL) & I was hooked. I’ve seen so many awesome shows there!
I am too young for her 10,000 maniacs days, but I still remember when TigerLily came out. And listening to it with my mom as we drove up the NYS thruway for college. Those were some happier times with my mom.
I’m jealous
I saw them 11 days later in Charlotte!! And here we are in 2024!! Always a fan!
I saw this tour and still watching in 2023. Love her even more today. What an amazing Artist in every way. So classy too!!!
💯
I saw them 11 days later in Charlotte! And here we are in 2024! I get it!

@Cotton Alley - which video of your collection would you say has the best quality of sound and video - especially older 10,000 Maniacs live shows? Big fan here who went to Fredonia State and saw the band many times during the 80s and early 90s.
Thank You , I really enjoyed that!
Thank you so much for the names of the tracks + times. You just made th r.c worst day a little bit brighter. Sincerely.
@@danthemanwalker1 Glad I could help!
Plain talent! No lip syncing, no canned backup band, no tattoos, no cut up clothes, just beautiful singing, dancing, style!
@@sdalby9127 They’re nasty looking, especially on women. My opinion. So are ripped clothes.
@@mariekatherine5238
Can you imagine what these young women and men will look like with their tattoos in about 30 years as the epidermis starts to stretch, starts sprouting moles and unwanted body hairs, too much exposure to the sun, etc.? Oy vey!
@@kensellers4082 😳😳
No tattoos??
Exactly I was fortunate enough to see her with 10,000 Maniacs 3 times during her last tour with the band. Each show had it’s on special chemistry and she was amazing. The late Robert Buck R.I.P. was awesome on guitar as well. I really hope a lot of people get to see this on UA-cam that never really seen her and realize what they missed.
How can you not fall in love with her performance. She will be in my Heaven!
She will be in my Heaven too, James. What a wonderful encapsulating concept. How could she not be there with the best of my besties!?
This is just a back-to-back machine-gunning of talent and beauty.
Spot on both points
She is just so awesome. I would be so happy to meet her and give her a big hug one day!
I am still a fan and still watching in 2023. Would LOVE to see her perform live!!!
Honestly, after listening to this video for a few months I think this is better than their studio albums. The energy Natalie has as well as giving it 100% is amazing.
I agree 💯. The energy. The intensity. Buck’s guitar screaming (he’s on fire 🔥in If You Intend.
For many bands i prefer live albums. Like you and others mentioned they have great energy. Just goes to show how tight and professional they are
Still a top 10 music in my car, where I can still shed tears of hope.
no lip sync, no back up, no BS-- just a great sweet voice. love it.
Her replacement/stand-in is on violin and vocals
One of the rare few whose voice is an instrument.
oh my god, I LOVE HER VOICE!
wow ! i forgot how amazing natalie merchant what a force is her voice just pure talent that is truly a gift to us all
Saw them at PNC Theater for their last tour, didn't sit for almost 2 hour and could've kept going. Then the same thing happened during her 1999 solo tour.....Adore this woman❤❤❤❤
30 years ago 300 years ago what the hell...kick ass stuff!
I fall in total love with her every single time I see her perform. Since like 1985. That's a lot of crushing.
Saw this tour as well in Austin. Little did we know back then we were witnessing the last of an era, when a handful of small town alternative bands somehow broke through to national audiences, all without the internet. "Those Were Days" indeed.
I was there! I remember how she kicked off her Birkenstock and I remember the nervous audience member who sang in "A Campfire Song." I wasn't that familiar with 10,000 Maniacs before the concert--after it, I became a lifelong fan.
The a cappella version of “Poison in the Well” was simply amazing. ❤
Really. Just thrilling
Natalie Merchant is simply mesmerizing.
Yes, she was, is and will be forever mesmerizing - to me and all true fans.
I'd need quaaludes to endure this live. A lot of sameness in the band and the singer.
My God she was beautiful, shedding tears when singing about her perceived mistakes, such an exquisite woman. Her music gave me faith in beauty and hope for the future when I lost my wife and daughter. She is an angel, inside and out.
She’s a special person
I saw 10,000 Maniacs in 1987 at the Santa Barbara County Bowl. The venue was packed! I remember seeing a young girl with her hands clinched into quivering fists - held to her chest. I was instantly reminded of old photos I had see of young girls at 'Beatles' concerts; with unabashed, reverent, near - hysteria - about to faint or collapse. Natalia Merchant with her profound lyrics and her magical stage - presence moved me and others deeply. I will never forget that day!
I saw the same tour and caught them in Charlotte NC
Saw them at the same venue in '89. Remember watching some of the women twirling like Natalie, especially during Don't Talk.
Very lucky yourself!
Never had the chance to live and feel those magical moments, though I wish I had
@@maremagnus It's never too late, she's touring again.
Can’t stop watching this. Don’t want to stop watching this.
Down to the last few shows of Natalie's reign and it's great to see she's so passionate to the end! This is such a great epilogue to one of the best groups of this era. Thanks for the post.
Gift from god, thank you for sharing your talent and more impressive your authentic soul.
i love this woman
Music that connects with your soul, your heart, emotions & joy of life in this beautiful world ❤️
Still here in 2022 - hard to believe next year it will have been 30 years!
she’s my favorite female singer
Fantastic. The performance of “Stockton Gala Days” was magnificent! An all time favorite.
Brilliant Lass going to see her on Guy Fawkes night in Scotland cant wait...
This is pure GOLD. I dare to say the band at its peak...no? Thank you for the post.
Definitely at their absolute peak the months leading up to Natalie leaving.
I think it was the their peak in terms of live performance, but "In My Tribe" will always be their finest album.
@@steverok67 totally agree, my favorite is in my tribe Natalie, Rob and the rest of the band were true professionals, I wish I could have witnessed one of their live concerts ☹️
Oh....a live performance of Lions share, brilliant! Quality and sound is perfect. I'm playing this over and over again. :)
Such a very unique voice, and what talent!!!
Is it just me, or is it hard to understand the lyrics? She seems to mumble.
There are a few perfect albums and OUR TIME IN EDEN was one of them. I honestly do not think they could do better than this one. That album and the tour were just beyond amazing. A band, having fun and just playing the songs they love.
I wholeheartedly agree. That album is in the company of Sgt. Pepper's. I know some people might say "that's blasphemy", but its probably simply because they never heard it. I Love ALL of their albums, but that one disc stands alone as close to what you wrote-Perfect.
In the mouth of 3 witnesses let a word be established...
JESUS BE MAGNIFIED THRU ME.
I have to wonder if her body of work here is superior to her solo-striking out.
Guess you have to respect her decision to leave. Still love her raw, very-real authenticity as an artist, independent or with 10,000 maniacs.
I love 10,000 Maniacs.
Incredible talent. Saw them many times back in the day. There is nothing absolutely nothing remotely close to the 10000 maniacs and the charisma Natalie was able to bring. You can just "feel it" while she was singing "Stockton Gala Days".
Thank you for sharing this video! I wish I'd seen a show on this tour! I was just a little too young. Later I saw her on the Tigerlily tour.
Wish this was available on a dvd. Excellent concert!
I can' get past repeating the first song - wow!!
Soooooo good! It's like re-living the best times of our lives!
Hell yes!!!
That acapella part at 44 min....voice of an angel! Gives me goosebumps everytime!
Best live concert video ever! This performance is legendary by the maniacs!
Saw them a few weeks later on July 4th, 93 at Kingswood Music Theatre in Toronto. This might be as close as I'll get to reliving that unforgettable and amazing night. Many thanks for posting. 🥂👍
Yes! I saw them a few weeks later in Hershey, PA, and it's one of my favorite concerts ever.
The finest I have heard (no pun intended). The section with Noah's Dove, Jezebel, Poison, Campfire & Stockton in, wow, simply spectacular.
That is a great stretch! Al these years later, I have Noah's Dove stuck on my brain/soul --I think it's their best among many really good ones.
My favourite goddess! Her touchiing Poetry and marvelllous Voice meet to enlighten such a dark dirty World! Natalie and her band are divine!!!
Great voice and of course the mesmerising sexy twirl !...what an unforgetable stage presence 30 years on...
@@grahambradd3839 I Agree!!! All the Best! ❤
2023! These Are Days was my wedding dance in ‘96. Feel like she and I grew up together from ‘87…. Wish I could see again, she’s my seen most artist ❤ Blue October closing in 💙 @blueoctoberband
Love this...Natalie and the maniacs in their prime 😍
She's the epitome of professionalism. Awesome concert!
Love 10k Maniacs. Sadly, shortly before they broke up. Natalie is mesmerising here. The acapella section of Poison in the Well is simply stunning and the Candy intro is how I will always remember Natalie, at her best...vivaciously fierce.
I can't thank you enough for posting this one. Great set AND quality.
Made this old English guy very happy
HER best came after. The poems she created with 10,000 will forever be burned in history but they pushed on her while she was a kid and when she came into her own as an adult she blossomed into better. 10,000 Maniacs were at their best, but Natalie's best was after
@@christopherbenson9385 Each to their own...saw 10k maniacs live twice and Natalie 5/6 times...different vibes...for me, 10k Maniacs songs are more vibrant & passionate, which I prefer, with Natalie & Rob Buck in their prime. Different strokes for different folks.
The band is as tight and soothing as her voice & songs.
These videos are gold.
Such a rad balance of interpretive dance and amazing delivery. “If you intend” is a song that I identify with my mom and her narcissistic view of the world. As the song progresses, Merchant goes from spinning beautifully to writhing spastically as the song closes. Artful in every way ❤️
I had this concert on CD when I was a teenager. Alas, I got into them right before Natalie left and would have been a bit too young to be at this show anyway. Awesome to see a video of a recording I knew so well!
Lol, too young? My dad was too young to go to Woodstock, but he would have loved it. He had all the cassette tapes of those artists. Then, he went to Woodstock '99.
@@lilafeldman8630 Oh, not too young for the cds, too young to drive five hours to go to the show.
Wow just wow love this thank you so much Natalie merchant is just unreal
Saw Natalie perform in Clearwater, FL this week! She's still got it!
Rob Buck’s guitar is screaming on If You Intend and Eat for Two. So unique and amazing.
he is so underrated. what a loss to the world
Man, I still listen to 10K/Natalie quite often, but never saw this show. So many memories for this 45 year old bastard! One of my personal all time great bands!
This is fantastic. Brings joy to this fan of 30+ years. Thanks.
Hell yeah John. I was 18 years and 2 weeks old when this show happened. Where TF has the time gone? lol
Saw them in Savannah in like late 80s
yes, sure brings back memories :)
This is amazing to find. I am the sax player in the middle. Scott Burrows on TBone and Tommy LaBella on Alto. Our brother the late great Rob Buck digging in. Best people best time . #10kmaniacs
You Sir are an imposter… it was Fruity Black playing the saxophone that night… he will be most displeased to hear about your bogus claim…
@@johneeeemarry34 lol ok
Wow what a thrill that had to be
I've had a CD of this show for 20 years -- remembering the asides about the airport woman with the wand and the Charlie Brown stuff. To suddenly see the vid and put the visuals to it is a little bit of awesome.
Oh my goodness yes! Hey who is that shaking my hand there???? Yeah, 21 years later I am still FLOATING. True story.
Thank you.
What a band!!! love the "Campfire song" part
omG
(thank you for this!)
I was 36 on that day. Loved her music & voice. Best singing voice since Marilyn McCoo./ Remember Natalie on VH1 a year earlier. And you all are right- this is the best concert !!!!!!!!!
Shes got such a Original and Honest voice...She's a very talented performer and singer...After 30 years her songs are way more original and thought out then what people put out today...Her voice is amazing though.
Beautiful
she makes it look so easy, effortless. Totally amazing. Talent....
This reminds me of going to college in the early 90s.
Great performance, great band!!
Love her voice, so much. LOVE Natalie! ❤
Por favor que grupo formidable.... Que recuerdos imborrables
Shit, really.. the greatest hippie chick, not to mention best stage dancer ever. Oh did I mention kindest person amazing musician, lyricist, best singer.. blessing to the world. I really hope
People get pointed back to Nat..
Great music never goes out of style
I have seen many great shows there, sure wish I had been at this one, 10000 Maniacs on top.
Incredible concert! Thank you!
I am so glad to find this as I was at that show.
27 years later... I bet it's still fresh in your head! Lucky bastard. Never got a chance to see this crew together, only Natalie solo and Mary 10K.
JELLY!!
@@drewfuerstenberger4675 I went to college in Fredonia and got to see the band several times both at small venues and huge stadiums (they opened for the Grateful Dead at Rich Stadium in Buffalo). They were amazing live with Natalie out front. So good!!
I used to have this as a bootleg VHS. Thanks so much for uploading!
Absolutely EPIC.... I saw them at the Sunrise Musical Theater in 92. Amazing memories.
Understood. It was NYC in 2009 or 2010 for me!
Fantastic to have this great show available. Thankfor sharing!
Thank you so much!! Lets keep this alive forever...
I love her. ❤
Even their covers are brilliant
Had the absolute pleasure of seeing Natalie perform in Edinburgh a couple of years back 😁😁
Had been a long time hope of mine, getting to hear her live.
It was AWESOME!!!!!! What a talent thus wonderful lady has, very special indeed 💚
Astounding....Natalie is a Goddess
Was there. Great concert! Great band!
Great band
I love the version they did with Band of Gold
Couldn't believe they announced Buffalo, NY Dead with 10,000 Maniacs 4th of July. I got mail order I was 16 and I'm still in love with Natalie Merchant, lady of style, talent, chic, mystery, sweet melodic lyrical forbidden treat beach trip to Outer Banks, NC and beholder of my skater heart
Just brilliant. Thanks v.m
This was a great show! I had a copy years ago. Thank you so much for sharing it!
Very talented artist! I saw her when she came to Powell Hall (or was it Fox Theatre?) in midtown STL around the time Tigerlilly came out. Thank you sooo much, Natalie from your Saint Louis, MO fans!!😉👍🙌🍀
Thank you for posting this! Great quality, a great show, so needed in this time where we have limited access to music. Much appreciated.
Thanks for the upload. Great show and pretty cool to analyze during these quarantine days.
Such electric voice
Just brilliant
Ha, what a pleasant surprise in reviewing what I've missed over the years...marvelous.
