I wash my face and use my hydrating toner , moisturizer then once that dries down a bit I rub a pea sized amount onto my face. I’ve only been using it for 3 weeks and I’ve seen so much progress
Here's a skincare tip: Kick off with Garnier Acne Control Micellar Water, followed by a double cleanse with CeraVe Foaming Cleanser or Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser. Top it off with Moisturizer, Differin Gel, and the magic touch - Niacinamide. If there's still a hint of dryness, double up on the moisturizer.
what if my moisturizer has already niacinamide in it? (my routine would be: lrp toleriane foaming wash → moisturizer w niacinamide → petroleum jelly on the sides of nose, eyelids, and mouth → adapalene gel → moisturizer w niacinamide)
my dermatologist prescribed me differin gel last year, but I couldn't use it for a lot of reasons. Now I am ready to use it , but on the leaflet it's written that the gel can be used for 6 months after first opening and it has already been a year since I opened it( I used it only once). The expiration date written on the tube is December 2023, so can I use it now?
Im a guy who uses it. So correct me if im wrong, but I get out of the shower and put it on. My skin on my face is starting to flake like crazy, but my acne is starting to go away. Am I doing it right?
Yeah flaking and redness is normal as long as it’s not on a extreme level but you should be washing your face before the differin and moisturizing after
You just can’t use different active ingredients in the same routine or else your face or wherever you put your active ingredient on will have irritation.
yes you can because the actives ingredients are separated in different routines. but dont use 2 active ingredients in the same routines like you said that if you can use BHAs and AHAs in the morning. that will be a no because you can’t use 2 actives in the same routine.
I have been using Cerave acne control cleanser (which has salicylic acid) and the differin gel should I change back to the Cerave foaming facial cleanser?
yea im wondering that too! i feel like it shouldn't be bad since face wash is being washed off if anything the SA can help since it goes deep into the pore to clean up clogged pores but idk tbh lmk if you find out
@@lillyteslow5310 I started just using Cerave facial foaming cleaner and different gel and my face has gotten better but I still get break outs but not as bad!
@@bailey5970 looks like you have the same skin type as I do ( which is acne - oily skin) and actually I wanna use the CeraVe foaming facial cleanser too with PC SA exfoliant at day and Differin gel at night . People need to understand, don’t put this on pimples ready to pop, put this on acne underneath the skin or blackheads because it forces all of them out
No u can't, no skin care product should be mixed with another one according to my knowledge unless it's formulated to be mixed And if u do mix it, it leads to uneven coating, u can research about it more a pea sized amount is enough for entire face
@@honeykanyadari995 your knowledge is ass. If you mix your components properly, uneven coating is impossible, doesn't even make sense. If there is no active that has any bad reaction with the rethinol or somthing else, there is no harm to your skin
Not as a spot treatment. Adapalene works super well, but it works on the whole face increasing cell turnover as it accumulates over time. It’s a super strong good ingredient but it’s NOT a spot treatment. Benzoyl peroxide, hydrocolloid acne patches, sulfur and sometimes even zinc can be used as a spot treatment to work on zits. If you re asking about whether it is okay to put adapalene on the zit while you re putting it on the whole face, using it as it is supposed to - then yes, you don’t have to avoid the zit while putting adapalene on. Hope this helps
I've got really sensitive skin sand my skins has flared up. So I'm going to stop it for 2 weeks and incorporate a more moisturizing cream and focus on getting my skin calm and strong again. Then I'm gonna restart my differin gel journey with starting it once a week for a month and then incorporating 1 more day each month. It's gonna take a long time but I think my skin will do much better going nice and slow. And if it still doesn't work out obviously my skin can't deal with it and will have to stop. Wish me the best tho. 😊
My dermatologist recomended not to use it at day time. I am using it for half to one hour for alternative days.still its causing dryness.cant think of using it 3 times a day😵
My differin gel says it expires on 8/24, does that mean August 24, 2023 or August 2024? I bought this it a year ago but stopped using it because I mistook purging for a bad product??
How long do i sandwich + use 2x/week before moving on to direct and daily application? Is there a time line or some indications my skin will give me to let me know it’s ready?
