We need a star wars film that isn't "oh no we have to save the galaxy" it needs to be smaller in scope, a few good guys, a few bad guys, just a few planets, just a few ships. It needs to be personal, with strong character motivations and clear goals. Look at Rogue One where having a tight script with a tight plot really kept things from going out of control. Most of all it needs good - clear leadership at the top, strong artistic vision and intent behind each decision.
Episode 10: The sequels belong to an alternative reality and will never be metioned ever again in canon. (Because Ashoka had to rely on the World Beetween Worlds to deal with the Yuuzhan Vong after Thrawn's defeat.)
Millenium Falcon Owner's Workshp Manual book specified that Han had installed antitheft device that would fly the ship back where it was launched. Yet, episode 7 shows the ship was stolen. It seems Jar Jar does not master the materials. Filoni does. So for me the sequel is corporate fan fiction. Do you remember those Chinese bootleg toys? Made by a company, and yet they were fake and had ludicrous things like Star Warp logo and C3PO head and HeMan body.. Same happens here with the sequels. Star Control fans learned to accept that Star Control 3 never existed. We can do the same. Instead, for me, the fan movie "After Endor" is canon to me.
Since Mr. Lucas retired I've been hoping Steven Spielberg would direct at least one Star Wars film- just one. I know it's a long shot, but it would be AMAZING!

Disney will need to work a miracle to have Episode stick. My boy 11 and ALL his friends highlighted that Episodes 8 & 9 failed and they do not watch any of it or support/play any game with those episodes in mind. Older audiences have the same view... I am not a big fan of the new watered-down emotionally draining episodes... yes - there are die-hard fans but looking at the future it seems even the younger generations believe Disney is losing the plot here. Considering where Star Wars came from and what an amazing brand this was, I do hope they salvage the brand.
Funny idea, if the want to do a prequel to the prequels they would be episodes -2, -1, and 0 and they should be focused on a 40 ish years old Dukoo and a young Qui-Gon (Teenager between 15-25 years old) in episode -2

This movie might be the transition to a new arc. I saw somewhere that the executives are replacing the Yuuzhan Vong with a new species that similar to them. Hopefully, this movie will finally have a good writing.

It's great to hear that a new Star Wars movie is coming out. There isn't much information beside that, so all of the commentary on possible success, possible failure, if they don't make a billion dollars, who is good and who is terrible for the movie wasn't necessary. The title was the hook for this video and maybe length may be correlated to money from UA-cam. I don't know. If it was pared down to about ninety seconds that would have been enough. The other five minutes was a waste. Still, thanks for letting us Star Wars fans know.
I can’t see this being any better than Episode 9, not with Kennedy and this rookie director at the helm. I will not spend my money on any more Star Wars films unless changes are made.

You can't deny the sequels weren't divisive or we wouldn't be having this conversation. Disney are devoid of new ideas and only care about money hence rushing out an incoherent sequel trilogy and planning new films on a hated character doing what Luke should've done. Time will tell and many fans have had their fingers burned too many times. It will make money but I doubt it will hit a billion again.

" I wonder if there's anyone who watched the original Star Wars movie in the Cinemas back in '77, who's watched every piece of Subsequent small screen 'stuff' (sans Lucas), and are still as awestruck as they were back in the day, - and still enjoying the Star Wars Universe, as it's currently being portrayed-?-!🤔 While some deride "Menace" - (but with the exception of Jar-Jar-Binks-!!-!!), it wasn't a bad reboot of a Story-line (but like Cruise & Maverick - much too late-!! [ which Wasn't a good reboot, - lacking all the cool '80s Swagger] ). But the subsequent 2nd & 3rd Prequels' kind of got a bit rubbishy, ~Essentially losing much of the Mystique that was the backbone to the story, and of a New Hope especially. For me, it all kinda began to 'Jump The Shark' 🦈 with the rediculous Kylo Ren's Pointless 'crucifix' Lightsaber 🤮 & equally (non essential) his face mask-!!-!!-!!🤮🤮 Talk about 'Christ On A Crutch': - Eat Ya Heart Out, Fonzi-!!🦈. Furthermore, I'll also contend that Adam Driver wasn't the right cast for the role, - but did acquit himself rather well in the 2nd & 3rd Movies nonetheless. He's a good actor, but I feel that the role might have benefited from someone with a little more 'natural' inner menace, - the way that Joaquin Phoenix brought to Emperor Commodus in Gladiator, or more especially Jared Leto to Niander Wallace in Blade Runner 2049. Like many these days, I don't watch TV, - too many other Real Life issues to deal with, ... so much of the subsequent Star Wars story-line, means nothing to me, - & based on the Original, now all seems somewhat puerile, the original Screenwriters long gone, so too now is the essence, - ditto Cruises' Maverick-!! Kylo Ren and Rey has a child from the passing on of the life giving force that saved Rey in Star Wars Episode 9. Is this true? If it is that would make her a true Skywalker.
The only memorable thing about 7, 8 & 9 was BB8. I'm nervous of anything Kennedy is involved in, and anything Star Wars that doesn't involve Filoni. Kennedy would be better heading up TED since she seems to want to lecture instead of entertain.

It's good to hear that they're finally doing a new star wars movie 10 but there should be at least 10 years between trilogies. What they should and what I thought they were going to do is start a trilogy at the very beginning (The Midi-chlorians) up through The Old Republic. Then after they did a couple of trilogies. They could come back to Rey, Fin and Poe's story-line.
Yes, Disney is done with the Skywalkers by the simple reason all of them should be CGI or animated. In the Expanded Universe the heroes were always the main characters of the Original Trilogy. The clone resurection of Palpatine was also from a comic book from the early nineties and Luke is the one who tracks him and defeats him once for all. The Academy and Kylo thingy was from the tale where Luke and Han have their kids but one of them falls to the Dark Side, there isn't a Rey Palpatine but the Solo and Skywalker families.
Episode 10 we see Rey for 30 seconds at the end as a hermit. Episode 11 Rey dies by overdosing on the force. Episode 12 Luke Skywalker is returned to the living realm by the whills to bring balance to the force again then discovers Han Solo frozen in ice and uses the force to bring his old friend back to continue their adventures with Chewie in the Falcon. The End I can dream.
I will probably watch it, however, they really need to do an Epilogue to The Rise of Skywalker that brings Rey from A Palpatine created alternative timeline to the Prime timeline where Finn is already a Jedi trained by the prime Luke who is still alive. AND, everything I used to discern this is canon from the movies, Rebels, Clone Wars, and all of Canon Star Wars. I'm not sure that the SW folks watch their own shows.
Fin is Mace Windu's son... Windu who after surviving his force lightning attack and being tossed out a window, became Snoke... That's why a young boy who worked in sanitation somehow became a stormtrooper directly under Kylo Ren's watch... Also who Ren never killed him although he killed his own dad
The return of MaRey Sue Palpatine Skywalker, the all-seeing, all-powerful, know-it-all, invincible Jedi godess. She is the perfect being of the Kennedy Star Wars Universe making her perfectly boring. I imagine she's going to ruin Grogu as well.
Chapters 7, 8 and 9 are Disney canon and have nothing in common with what the fans were expecting. All the books written. show the original main characters still live through the story. Han and Leia had three children. Twin boy and girl, Jacen and Jaina, then a third child that died in an x-wing during combat against forces commanded by Jacen as Dark Cadius. Luke marries Mara Jade after he turns her from the dark side. They had one son, named Ben for his master Obi-one. It is Luke who rebuilds the Jedi Order. Rey, Poe and Finn never existed.
The REAL title is - Star Wars: Stunning and Brave! (The working title is: The Force is Female!) [They will NEVER fire Kennedy! If THAT were the case, they would have done it already.]
This isn't the Yuuzhan-Vong war, is it? Too bad. As for the director... Remember, George had only one big hit (American Graffiti) and one big bomb (THX-1138) when he took on Star Wars. Doing documentaries means she knows how to make things look *real.*
KK has to go, even if this 10th episode succeeds she'll still find a way to screw any other episodes down the road. She doesn't have the best track record concerning anything SW as it is.

It's great to hear that a new Star Wars movie is coming out. There isn't much information beside that, so all of the commentary on possible success, possible failure, if they don't make a billion dollars, who is good and who is terrible for the movie wasn't necessary. The title was the hook for this video and maybe length may be correlated to money from UA-cam. I don't know. If it was pared down to about ninety seconds that would have been enough. The other five minutes was a waste.
Still, thanks for letting us Star Wars fans know.

@@Jfen79 People went to see them because they were Star Wars, doesn't mean they liked what they saw. The Transformers films all made a bunch of money and they're awful. You can't deny the sequels weren't divisive or we wouldn't be having this conversation. Disney are devoid of new ideas and only care about money hence rushing out an incoherent sequel trilogy and planning new films on a hated character doing what Luke should've done. Time will tell and many fans have had their fingers burned too many times. It will make money but I doubt it will hit a billion again.

I wonder if there's anyone who watched the original Star Wars movie in the Cinemas back in '77, who's watched every piece of Subsequent small screen 'stuff' (sans Lucas), and are still as awestruck as they were back in the day, - and still enjoying the Star Wars Universe, as it's currently being portrayed-?-!🤔
While some deride "Menace" - (but with the exception of Jar-Jar-Binks-!!-!!), it wasn't a bad reboot of a Story-line (but like Cruise & Maverick - much too late-!! [ which Wasn't a good reboot, - lacking all the cool '80s Swagger] ). But the subsequent 2nd & 3rd Prequels' kind of got a bit rubbishy, ~Essentially losing much of the Mystique that was the backbone to the story, and of a New Hope especially.
For me, it all kinda began to 'Jump The Shark' 🦈 with the rediculous Kylo Ren's Pointless 'crucifix' Lightsaber 🤮 & equally (non essential) his face mask-!!-!!-!!🤮🤮 Talk about 'Christ On A Crutch': - Eat Ya Heart Out, Fonzi-!!🦈.
Furthermore, I'll also contend that Adam Driver wasn't the right cast for the role, - but did acquit himself rather well in the 2nd & 3rd Movies nonetheless. He's a good actor, but I feel that the role might have benefited from someone with a little more 'natural' inner menace, - the way that Joaquin Phoenix brought to Emperor Commodus in Gladiator, or more especially Jared Leto to Niander Wallace in Blade Runner 2049.
Like many these days, I don't watch TV, - too many other Real Life issues to deal with, ... so much of the subsequent Star Wars story-line, means nothing to me, - & based on the Original, now all seems somewhat puerile, the original Screenwriters long gone, so too now is the essence, - ditto Cruises' Maverick-!!

It's good to hear that they're finally doing a new star wars movie 10 but there should be at least 10 years between trilogies. What they should and what I thought they were going to do is start a trilogy at the very beginning (The Midi-chlorians) up through The Old Republic. Then after they did a couple of trilogies. They could come back to Rey, Fin and Poe's story-line.

Yes, Disney is done with the Skywalkers by the simple reason all of them should be CGI or animated. In the Expanded Universe the heroes were always the main characters of the Original Trilogy. The clone resurection of Palpatine was also from a comic book from the early nineties and Luke is the one who tracks him and defeats him once for all. The Academy and Kylo thingy was from the tale where Luke and Han have their kids but one of them falls to the Dark Side, there isn't a Rey Palpatine but the Solo and Skywalker families.
Why couldn’t they just get Filoni and Favreau to do this? They alone have revived Star Wars post Disney.

Episode 10 we see Rey for 30 seconds at the end as a hermit. Episode 11 Rey dies by overdosing on the force. Episode 12 Luke Skywalker is returned to the living realm by the whills to bring balance to the force again then discovers Han Solo frozen in ice and uses the force to bring his old friend back to continue their adventures with Chewie in the Falcon. The End

I will probably watch it, however, they really need to do an Epilogue to The Rise of Skywalker that brings Rey from A Palpatine created alternative timeline to the Prime timeline where Finn is already a Jedi trained by the prime Luke who is still alive. AND, everything I used to discern this is canon from the movies, Rebels, Clone Wars, and all of Canon Star Wars. I'm not sure that the SW folks watch their own shows.

Chapters 7, 8 and 9 are Disney canon and have nothing in common with what the fans were expecting. All the books written. show the original main characters still live through the story. Han and Leia had three children. Twin boy and girl, Jacen and Jaina, then a third child that died in an x-wing during combat against forces commanded by Jacen as Dark Cadius. Luke marries Mara Jade after he turns her from the dark side. They had one son, named Ben for his master Obi-one. It is Luke who rebuilds the Jedi Order. Rey, Poe and Finn never existed.
