  • Sooo… we got a weldpro 155 mig welder!
    WeldPro is a popular mig welder for beginners. In this video, we'll discuss whether or not WeldPro is a good welder for beginners. We'll compare WeldPro to other popular mig welders and see whether or not it's worth investing in for beginner welders.
    I will say for a beginner this welder probably isn’t suited best for you.
    I had a tough time getting it dialed in. I changed my settings multiple times, welded different thicknesses of metal, checked my power source and made sure the right rollers were installed.
    I don’t totally bash this machine. I will say at times it ran smooth. However, at times it also ran quite choppy.
    Some pros-
    It’s light weight and easy to move around.
    And it’s a multi process welder.
    I would definitely recommend this machine to a more advanced welder!

    I have this welder. Never had a problem using 110 tripping a breaker. I have done flux weld and gas and it does very well. Even does arc welding without problems. I would definitely recommend it for a beginner as well as a hobby welder.

    Thank you for the video. I would like to know what welder would you recommend for a beginner?

    What load is you 110v breaker? In my house I have 20amp and 30amp 120v breakers. My Weldpro 210 works great. Blue Demon wire runs excellent in this welder. It lays down beautiful welds . Thin to thick metal I'm really impressed with it.

    I have not yet used my WeldPro 150 for very long because I will be using it for my trucks rust spots. Hopefully I will not have the problems that you had in this demo. I have faith in this welding machine because I saw some other videos about it that where both good and not so good. I think that a lot of success depends on setting the dials correctly on this machine. All machines are different. You had a lot of splattering forming on your work, it looked like you did not have your welding machine dialed in correctly. If I run into any challenges with my machine, I will call WeldPro's tech support. I already talked to the concerning setting my machine up and they are very helpful. I am not sure that you assesed this machine fairly. I think you skipped a lot of things that you should have addressed. Sometimes we think that we are pretty good at stuff, but we never stop learning about anything. Learning is never over for those of us who like to work with our hands. Good luck with your next video.

    You are the con not the welder.. you say you are a advance welder and you had troubles dialing it in Advance welder wouldn't have troubles dialing in a welder in. you are not a advance welder believe me. it's not the welder it's you👈👈👈👈👈👈👈👈

    4 . 1 you didn't give that weldpro welder a good review.. you said you were an advanced welder.. 4. 1 . you blame it on the spool of wire that came with the machine. then you said you got another spool of wire from your local supplier and then you said it still didn't run that great you shot that weldpro welder write down . did you ever think that maybe something was wrong with the machine or maybe it was you yourself. I have these different types of wellpro welding machines. I also ran Lincoln and Miller .yes I have to agree the wires that they supply not that great but I have never had a problem like you said you were having with your machine. I believe all their machines are synergic also. I did not see you have 25/75 hooked up to it so you must be using Shield it wire. I can also tell when you struck that Arc with your Mig gun your machine wasn't set up right. maybe it's you I have to tell you didn't even take time to diagnose the problem you just shot it down. when you run it on house current you might end up kicking the breaker did you ever think that cord that takes it from 2/30 to 1/15 that jumper could have been bad or shorted out if you would have asked weldpro they also probably send you out a another machine you probably got a return .that somebody had problems with that particular welder also. did you ever think of that .so if you say you were a advanced welder that you are and you couldn't get the machine to run At all Advanced welder would have been able to figure that out not unless something's wrong with the machine internally then you say there's something wrong with the weldpro welder . did you ever think it might not be the machine. I could tell when you strike to Arc with the MIG gun it didn't even sound right. on your video I didn't see you dial it in also that was not absolutely not a good assessment. of that weldpro welder they're awesome machines I know this for a fact. you might have just got one back from the factory that was a return that didn't run right you ever think about that . believe me I am not trying to ruffle any of your feathers but you did not give it a good assessment it was a five-minute video. I did not see you on your video try to dial it in or your chart on the weldpro welder for material thickness and what setting. you should have took that welder before pre-show and ran a test on it evaluated it and if there was any problems ask weldpro to send you out another one or call your weldpro Tech and explain to them what was going on they probably could have solved the problem you were having .by the way I fabricated for many years and also fabricated race car chassis I can tell on your show that machine wasn't even set right.. what I am trying to say next time give it a better assessment you cannot do that just in 5 minutes God bless.

      It is not the mig weld Pro welder it is the person running the Mig does not know how to set up properly . And then given a bed review. it's is not weldpro welder nothing wrong with it. he does not know what he's doing. he's probably still in Basic School for welding. So if you're looking for a weldpro welder it is a good quality welder I have welpro welding machines. I also had Miller Lincoln Ben welding a little over 47 years and it's not the weldpro welder just want to let you know.

      I’m just telling people my experience with it. I’m sure they make good machines just didn’t have luck with the one I bought. And that’s awesome you have 47 years of experience.

    What a terrible review, What model is it they make multiple 155 welders,, i don't know what to say, what about the breaker? is it bad?is it a 15 amp or a 20 A breaker? you were pulling the torch away from the puddle it sounded terrible, i would not eat that fried bacon.. and amazon doesn't make em, they only sell em.. dam i was hoping for a useful review... oh well i'll keep looking for a real review of a Weldpro welder..

    • @weldingbusinesssecrets
      @weldingbusinesssecrets  Рік тому

      It was a 20 amp breaker which is standard in a residential home. So someone that doesn't have a 220 plug and or a 30-40 amp breaker is going to have issues running this machine. Also I say I bought the welder from Amazon and it came from Amazon. I know they don't make this machine.

    Damn, I’m sure I’m late to this video and all, but wow what a terrible review lol. I saw some other comments in here saying the same thing and I completely agree. You call yourself advanced but you’re pulling a mig puddle? You struck up and instantly sounded like you had no gas. Then you go on to say, you tripped your breaker…. Did you not realize you probably don’t have a 50A or too much on the circuit? I have a weldpro stick/tig, and it’s never given me any issues and makes me plenty money. Poor review

    I owned a Millermatic 210 for 10 years until I retired. Now I have a Weld Pro Welder for hobby welding and I'm very happy with it. I would definitely recommend a weld Pro for beginners. By the way beginners would be better served not trying to weld with 110v but to go for a 220v supply. Most houses are wired for 220v with dryer outlets.

      @weldingbusinesssecrets  Рік тому +1

      I don’t doubt they make good machines. I’m sure they are great, I just didn’t find a good grove with it. And yes you are correct, 220v would be best if they have access to it.
