I love this weave..🫡👍
Damn you. Another thing to buy. 😂
It’s definitely worth it!

Really? A clap track? That’s a bit odd … It might help to have mentioned wire type & gauge as well as material thickness. I see below 17.8A & 240 FPS which would’ve been useful too.
What cause a bead to be thick looking on the top instead of flatter like yours
Heat and penetration mostly. It can also be the joint being welded. For example if you have two pieces of flat stock and butt them together without beveling them your weld will more than likely be think instead of flat.
The secret is there are no secrets. Just hard work and experience. Where there is a will there is a way. Get hungry enough, and you will start to see things once thought impossible to be very appealing. In the end God makes a way where there once wasn’t.
Are you still teaching people how to weld?
Thank you for the video. I would like to know what welder would you recommend for a beginner?
I’m inspired, I’m 23 and I’ve been doing welding since childhood I’ve experience tho buh I’m starting a business and I need partners.
🙌
Fantastic story for people that don’t know any better. No question that welding is a great trade as that I have a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing and numerous certifications for many different areas of welding. Chances of making it to a million dollar welding business in completely unrealistic. If you want be successful in that industry I would suggest getting all your certifications and college degree in science, engineering is more realistic in this world because only hard work and determination pays off. Great introductory video on the subject!
You must be the type of person that needs certifications and degrees for validation. Most of these guys do not. It would be great if people like yourself. Would stop trying to crush others. Good luck as an employee.
I feel I should mention, even though GMAW doesn’t produce slag, it can produce small silicone spots or islands on the beads, and if they aren’t cleaned off, they can cause the same problems as slag.
would this be good for welding small square tubes to fix some rusted out areas wrought iron fence?
Yes, I’d say so!
I have lots of soldering experience, but ZERO welding experience and I would LOVE to have a welder in the garage for various emergency repairs. I first need to learn the difference between welders like tig, or whatever and so on .... Then go from there.
Cool vid man, we got an iron worker in our shop, great time-saving machine...
Thank you sir!
Thanks for encouraging others like me I just set up a small workshop at my garage in Cameroon Africa.
How cool! Keep up the good work.
How do you bring in manufacturing clients?
I’m 31 and interested in becoming a welder in OKC. Can’t afford the $7000 for welding school and my high school didn’t offer any sort life skill classes.
Go apply at some local welding shops. There are lots in OKC. Start at the bottom and go in and work hard- at that point they would be happy to train you.
@@weldingbusinesssecrets Thank You ☺️. Do you know which positions I should be searching for? Do I just apply as a welder or should I try finding like janitor work at a welding shop to get my foot in the door? Thank you so much! All of the welder positions I have applied too so far requires 1-2 years of previous welding experience.
Great video, Trevor! My buddy and I work for a company that is in the custom railing and custom office furniture business. We love what we do (he is the lead fabricator in our steel shop and I am in project management/installation), but with where the company is going and ownership not treating employees super well, we are in the conceptual stages of starting our own thing on the side while we still work full time. Our goal is to develop the side hustle into something full time so we can win back our time, do things we love, and make what we're worth so we can better take care of our families.
I would love to say running a business can win you time, give you the time to do what you love and make you what you are worth. At times it is quite the opposite. Right now you are an operator, once you become a business owner most, if not all of your waking moments will be spent working in the business. That is if you run a good business. It is NOT easy and not for the weak. I’ve given up everything I love to do in trade to grow my business. At times I don’t make any money but at times I do win and that’s when it is worth it. Don’t let the internet make you believe running a business is easy. It’s not by any means. But it is possible and it is a grind. Everyday. So be ready, it’s a drastic jump to go from operator to business owner.
@@weldingbusinesssecrets all of this is understood. I have a small business background and have worked in small businesses all my life. Getting screwed over by an employer who doesn't treat you well or truly wants what's best for you is worst than all the heartache and difficulty of being your own boss. You're giving them your time and the fruits of your labor are never recognized. Times this by 40-60 years and you have NOTHING to show for your body of work and what you have put in. The risk is worth it to me.
Does this thing need argon gas?
No, it’s flux core.
What wire and electricity setting do you use?
Great review! Great weld! I’m looking for something inexpensive to learn on so I can build industrial style furniture in the garage and this was awesome! Thank you
🫶🏻
I'm sure uve already learned this by now, but a guy should have a forward bend, towards the top of ur up rights. If ur plates hang all in line with them, u'll blow off ur paint off em in 20 rounds. Ask me how I know lol
PERFECT ONE BRO
My instructor said that big jumps in the layers may lead to problem during a sound check .
I am a welder for over thirty years and if i could go back I would of done something else for a living! All I have I certainly worked hard for it!
Woww...Am so happy for you'll...!! Please can you tell what basic equipment I would required to buy to start my own small workshop
It all depends on what you are wanting to do. There are thousands of machines and so it all comes down to what you do.
I have experience welding but how can I learn the fabrication part? Cutting and all that. Measuring and etc
The same way you learned to weld… by doing it.
Awesome dude! very inspirational for people like me who are learning to be welders for the first time.
Thanks man! Keep up the good work.
I have this welder. Never had a problem using 110 tripping a breaker. I have done flux weld and gas and it does very well. Even does arc welding without problems. I would definitely recommend it for a beginner as well as a hobby welder.
Would you have done it without your brother ?
I would have. I don’t think I would of grown as fast without them though.
Bet you had a great support system.
I do have a fantastic support system!
Love this!!
Thank you!!
Cutting a bundle this big would save me so much time 😂
It was way worth the investment for sure!!
Great story. Always nice to hear someone who made it through dedication passion and hard work, and still have both feet on the ground.
Hey thank you! That means a lot! I appreciate the kind words.
My miller 211 has only numbers 1-10 and 10-100 for wire feed and voltage. Still, the chart works pretty good for horizontal. When going vertical, do you go higher or lower settings than your machine's thickness chart ?
With my 211, I use auto weld mostly because I've gotten lazy. I find it's better to lower the voltage/speed when vertical welding. If I use the same setting for horizontal, I get a buildup of material in the middle that often sags. That's with the v style, where it's fast through the middle and hold on the sides.
Thank you Trevor!!!
i wanted to see the penetration from the back 😭
Thank you, how about stick welding sounds?
