O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Tis a frosty morning on this Monday in February. Hey, the look of the sunshine coming thru on your dark garage was quite awesome. I know you get the real thing frequently, but the video caught it quite well. As part of our walk, we are given blessings & talents, some being realized as we use them to bless our church. We are to be servants & that’s when many of our desires are fulfilled. That’s a great reward. I just can’t imagine a snake crawling up into the stack to shed its skin, but I’ve seen them in the rafters & such over the years. Freaky! I’ve never been a big fan of green paint, but that cabover canvas will look quite good in that scheme I think. Some things of the 60s were quite hideous. Just carry the paint scheme all around the truck. I think that will make it look even better. That’s something I’ve always wondered about…not wrapping the scheme all around the truck. Some manufacturers just didn’t do it back then. So looking forward to seeing Grasshopper this summer. Maybe we will have a truck to show as well. Time will tell. Having a model would be great, but working on the real thing is more rewarding! I’m collecting some truck models for a rainy day. Joel & I will have loads of fun. Other projects come 1st! Blessings my friend. 🥰🤩✌️
Funny, I am a “blue” guy but it seems greens have just latched onto me with these trucks so I’m going with it. I’m praying no snakes dead or other in the sleeper. I know I saw some bones but haven’t summoned up the courage to dig in yet. Lol
I hope you do get to bring a truck this year but if not, no worries just bring Joel and enjoy. 😊👍

Stacey David did a wrecker & had it painted like a Razzleberry Red…& it just sparkled my interest. My old truck might get a Tri color that includes that as well. I’m hoping to go thru the entire truck & have everything painted except the dash. This was a conversation I had with my dad before he passed. I do actually like the colors on Grasshopper & look forward to seeing how it turns out. Just wear a mask & dig into it. It’s probably located in the bunk or passenger seat area. I’m sure you’ll record it. 🥰😎✌️

What really works well is a hot water power washer. My mechanic had an old one that really didn't push out the water hard, but it was hot. The grease and all would just fall off. Some guys would bring their truck in so caked in crud you just couldn't work on it properly until you cleaned it up first. Personally, I'd try not to do that kind of stuff to my mechanic as I liked him, and he didn't want to drag out the washer any more than I wanted to pay him to. God bless all the good mechanics.

Your making Great Strides Dane in bring Grasshopper back to its former Glory , on the subject of the " every little detail has to be precise and perfect "" to the ones that can afford that Great, to those that are limited to a budget for hobby projects, regardless of the hobby , do 29:30 what you can until funds allow different , love what your doing with the paint ,, ?? Im assuming your applying straight from the arosol rattle cans ?? Great job , in reference to the orange shag carpet, in relation to truck interiors alot disliked the option but i always loved the Avocado Green offered by Pete , KW & Freightliner,, very rare to see one with the original interior in that color today , getting long so as always Dane thanks for video, looking forward to seeing the trucks in June and as always SAFE TRAVELS 👍👍👍👍
Thanks David, so true, you have to work within your own budget and place a priority on each step along the way. Even with an unlimited budget you’re still at the mercy of parts available and time and schedules of others so J don’t need the frustration. I just keep moving and gitrdone so I can get to that driving experience happy place. When you’re doing that no one’s opinions of how you should have done it matters. I actually love all the avocado stuff of the 70s lol 😬👍Lookin forward to seeing you again and be safe out there my Brutha.

after years of restoring vehicles i don't bring any project in the shop without a major power wash, for that project i would have rented a steam pressure washer to clean the engine and the rest of the chassis it will melt the grease off.
I definitely agree, need to consider that in the future
Might be worth capping off those open fuel fittings before some of that crap you're flaking off finds its' way into them, especially if they're downstream of the filters.

Not specifically, but I speak often of the man that took me along with him back when I was a kid, riding in his beautiful new 72 K100 and stainless reefer to Boston for fresh fish to bring back to Cleveland. Such fond memories!!!!

I sold it June of 2022. I had it about 7 years and was ready for a different project. Loved it though 😬👍
There is a soft rubber wheel that 3m makes to take off decals run with a drill any auto part sells it

They work good buy be careful not to.spin it too fast will burn the paint ..let it work with the slow speed and the rubber will peel it off...a solvent that only eats adhesive is needed to clean it to finish product...
