Things you need an ID for in America: Driving a car, purchasing a car, getting a job, opening a bank account, withdrawing from said bank account, going to the doctor (caveat is some medical clinics may not require identification), getting a prescription, buying alcohol, buying cigarettes, renting a hotel room, buying concert tickets, buying any kind of ticket for sporting events, applying for Food Stamps, applying for welfare, applying for unemployment, getting on an airplane, legally getting married, and many others. All of these things require an ID, but Democrats want anyone to be able to vote in Federal elections without proving they are who they say they are. Actively encouraging voter fraud, and they don't even bat an eye.
But the TV told me there was no voter fraud, and if there was, the Republicans did it.
The usual rebuttal is that none of those are a specific Constitutional right. However, we know how these same people feel about what it should take to purchase/own a firearm and showing ID is the easiest of the criteria.

There's some talk of a Muslim party being established in the UK which would split the left vote and it's probable that a Hispanic or Spanish language party would split the vote.
That being said the Rinos run a lot of the republican seats and in the UK both the Conservative and Labour party are indistinguishable from the Democrats in the US if not worse

Kudos to Mr. Spakovski! I'm also a child of naturalized citizens, and my folks never believed we should extend anything to those who skirt the system. It makes it so much harder for people to immigrate legally, when we have a flood of illegals. Those from countries we don't share a border with, those who have family here, or a waiting employer, or some academic contribution to make, are left waiting for YEARS, spending fortunes in fees and lawyers. It's just patently unfair.
Most importantly, however, naturalized citizens take a VOW to abide by our laws and support our country. They are patriotic, while illegals don't respect America enough to respect her sovereignity. If we can't see this is a democrat scam, and that the whole country will be hurt by this, we're fools.

In Scotland non-citizens can vote the only requirement is to have an address in Scotland and be over 16 (they may have lowered it), you as a non UK citizen could rent an apartment in Scotland and that's all you need, you can vote for the Scottish parliament but not for the Westminster elections because England and Northern Ireland still require you to be a citizen.
Basically the UK is like a group of states so it's a lot like a federal and state jurisdiction thing, England doesn't have a separate parliament but all the other state(home nations) do

I would say that the vast majority of the time they are actually trying to obfuscate rather than simply lie. The thing these people fear most is accountability, and having a straightforward answer (whether they tell the truth or lie) holds them more easily accountable for the things they say.

I work in a doctors office. Yes, photo ID IS required. And none of the people who showed up at the doctors office claimed having to show photo ID was discriminatory.

Unless you're trying to live totally off-grid, why doesn't she already have a social security card..? Maybe things are different, but if you have her birth certificate, you should be able to get the rest of the documents you need.

As a black man raised in a single parent home : Why the fuck do you not have your daughters social security card?! My mother while working her ass off was able to get that before I even knew I needed an Id, state or otherwise.
Need ID to fly, drive, go to the WEED STORE, drink, join the military, go to a club, get a job, get an apt, sign up for anything, requires ID.
PERIOD.

What grounds do I have go into another person's house and cast a vote on how that household is run? Especially if my say has as much weight as the father or mother. That's what having non-citizens voting in the country's election. Illegal migrants is like having a squatter in your garage and him telling the homeowner he needs more electricity for his laptop, they shouldn't be their and you have every right to silence him.
My driver's license had expired and I was not currentl driving anymore. I went to DMV to get a State ID using my expired DL, birth certificate, voter ID card, and utility bill because my expired driver's license had my former address on it and not my present address. I had lost my Social Security card so I could not use that form of ID. However, that was the only other form of ID they would accept with my expired DL. I then went to my local Social Security office to get a replacement card so I could return to DMV. They would not give me a replacement because my driver's license was expired and had my previous address. I provided a Voter ID card as well as my birth certificate. I informed them that they were paying my retirement benefits currently. They would not accept that, would not look in the database and would not look at my paper documentation confirming the commencement of my benefits, with my current address on it. The only document they would accept to confirm my identification was a note from my doctor stating I was a patient at his office. Which, I would have had to drive 40 miles away and back to get it and return. I just gave up at that point! I just wonder, if an illegal alien would have the same difficulty getting a driver's license or state id. I still haven't gotten my State ID because I am so pissed off but I obviously will need one eventually for a passport to fly, and ...
