I drive a truck for Prime. After you pass the cdl road test, no one clutches to shift. Let alone double clutching. I have an auto now and am loving it lol

Hey bro, I’m new to your channel and gaming in general. My youngest son just gifted me his old gaming PC for my birthday as he upgraded to latest specs. Im playing ATS and loving it, it’s fun just to chill and drive...enjoy the scenery and sounds. At present I’m just using a Xbox controller but plan to eventually use a g29 like this. I’m also watching your farm sim vids, never thought I’d be into farming 😂(I’m retired Marine/Army). I’ll eventually get the farm sim 19 game as well, didn’t realize a wheel was used for that as well. @@kingarthursims use an allen key to take off the metal part of the pedals (the screws on the metal) and move it where u want it to (I PROBABLY DIDNT EXPLAIN IT GOOD BUT U CAN SEARCH IT UP ON UA-cam THATS HOW I FOUND OUT BUT I DONT HAVE A G29 YET)
I baught one this weekend and switched out the shifter for simuride shifter. Because of the Ability to do 6 , 13 and 18 speeds. When doing American truck simulator.

I have a g29 as well, I love it! Only trouble is the brake, gotta pull it apart and take the little rubber piece out. There are a lot of mods you could look up as well, but just doing that alone made them feel massively better
Arthur Chapman Sadly it's because there is a little rubber piece inside the spring on the brake pedals. It's pretty easy to open it up and take it out, there are several videos on how to do so here on youtube.
you can adjust the pedal faces to move the brake closer to the accelerator pedal,there a nice wheel but yeah like you said the shifters are a bit rubbish
hey bud, i know this is an old video, but i just got a g29 using it for farm sim and ats, in ats the wheel seems a bit stiff, so i was wondering if you changed your "spring setting" in the logitech software, by default my is set to 10. so if i lower that will the stiffness go away and if so how much should i do, i don't want to remove too much stiffness, just really stiff when cornering thanks in advance and Keep Trucking...i am brewcrew304 (on twitch if you want to hit me up on there instead)

U never mentioned what happened the first time U hooked the G29 up???? did Windows auto-detect the G29 correctly or did U have to find a driver from Logitech??? how much trouble did U have getting all the features on the wheel to work with Windows???? also how did it work with ATS the first time U turned it on??? did U have to fine tune any ATS settings when U first turned ATS on ????
haha - lots of questions - let me see if I can answer them all - here we go. 1. I am using windows 10, latest update 2. I already have the Logitech Gaming Software app installed and running because of my Logitech Keyboard and G13. 3. Windows and LGS identified the controller properly and I had 0 issues there, all features enabled from the start. 4. I reset all my settings in ATS - picked the wheel from the list and then proceeded to program each button, pedal, and the shifter. I find that the "range" mode works best with the H shifter in both ATS and ETS2. Eaton Fuller seemed to be missing gears, but I didn't mess with it too much. It took me maybe 10 or 15 minutes to get it the way I liked it, including messing around with the Force Feedback Settings. It went even faster in ETS2 because I had already done it in ATS. 5. Like I said in 4. you will need to reset your settings and start fresh - that is always the best way to get a new controller into a game - I am gonna have to do a similar thing for Farming Sim 17 - not looking forward to that :)
You probably would be better off using an xbox controller - however, you may be able to set the throttle and brake to the paddles on the back or something.

First, thank you a lot for doing this. Though I wish we could see more of how to set this thing up because it just does not work for me at all. The steering wheel doesn't even steer! The settings in the game say I use a "joy axis" to steer but I don't know what that is. Plus I have to literally map EVERY function I use onto the wheel because I play in VR (or am trying to) and I can't see the wheel. I'm just completely lost the wheel even when set up in the game doesn't work at all. And I can't figure out how to get things like the cab views, cruise control, etc. set up on the wheel like I did for the X-Box gamepad I used before. I had such high hopes for this thing but it's turning into a nightmare :(
First of all, the the MST3K avatar. Setting these up on PC are kind of a headache compared to PC but this may help - Be sure that you go to logitech.com and download the Logitech Gaming Software. Install it and then run it and it will help you get things up and running properly.

The G29 is almost the same as the G25/G27. The hardware has not been updated. I owned it and a thrustmaster T150. The base of the Thrustmaster is a lot better. The pedals and shifter make the G29 ok, but not more than ok.
Yeah. I dumped the shifter pretty quickly. I am now using the thrustmaster t8 - Been using the setup for about a year now, and I know you say its not more than ok, but my experience has been that its rock solid and I just love it. The only complaint I have is that the red "dial" on the right side is too easy to hit while you are quick steering. Other than that its been excellent.
I recently (less than a year ago ) just got the saitek wheel and it works ok but it doesn't have the clutch and I want a more realistic experience so do you think I should get this ? (Just a side note I will use it for farming simulator and ats )
How do you shift past 6th with that shifter? I'm thinking about picking up a G29 soon but I don't have any clue how you would go through 18 gears when the shifter only goes to 6.
You have to set buttons on the wheel to be Range and Splitter buttons. They also make a range and splitter knob that does the job well, but runs about 125 bucks. It just screws on your shifter to replace the current knob and then plugs in USB. Here is a video of it. I had same issue with my g29. try this. it worked for me; google search "logitech g29 drivers" and go to their download page and install the drivers from there. Hope it helps.
It seems logical that Logitech is a logic company, not a logging company. In the original setup, did it all show up as ONE single device under Windows? I ask because Microsoft has an annoying limitation of only 4 XInput devices allowed at one time. That's a nuisance with Steam where you might have different controllers you use for different games. I've had issues with controller configs in Steam getting forgotten as a result of controllers getting shuffled around. So I'd prefer a driving setup that doesn't eat separate XInput devices for each component. I'm reasonably content with my thrift store wheel (an old Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback) but it only has 2 pedals. I don't think there's a good solution for that other than upgrading to a new wheel. Can't afford it right now but it's on my mind as a "someday" item.
Its shows up as a single device. Hope that helps! I use a powered USB hub with on off buttons - I turn only the controllers that I use for each game on when I am ready to use them, so I don't run into that issue.

Yup - I have used the heck out of it for several years now and its perfectly fine - I did dump the shifter though - it was too plastic feeling and was missing that "KU-CHUNK" feel that a real stick shift has. I replaced it with a Thrustmaster TH8A shifter which is MUCH better.
Yeah- I had a portion of the video with doubled audio - by the time I realized it, it was already too late. No worries though, its only a small portion of the video ;)
So far I love it - I am not sure if its worth going up from the G27 though - I like the fact that the G27 has a lot of buttons on the shifter. If you don't have the G27 H-shifter, then it would be worth the upgrade.
It does add realism, but SCS support is not perfect. If you go into the menu and go back to driving or tab between programs and than come back, it hs forgotten the state of the switchbuttons making you shift from 7H to 4L instead of 8L.. But the skrs mod itself is very good, very high quality. Very easy to install on the G27 at least.
I only have that if I alt-tab out of the game, not when entering menu's etc (same window). Not to big of a problem since I don't alt tab anywhere when I'm gaming :D P.s. There are other, less expensive, alternatives to the SKRS shifter. A lot of people are complaining that CSIO is not replying to their e-mails and that it takes 6+ months (if not longer) for them to receive the shifter. Again: I personally have been using the CSIO SKRS for quite some time and I have had no problems with it or CSIO (so far).
Pls don't forget, that not all people on this planet are native English speakers. So even if it's intuitive to you to pronounce "logic" like an English word, in a lot of other languages it's pounced differently, often closer to the Greek "logos". To be stupid and to not know about the English pronunciation of a word are two different things. I'm German, so I would probably pronounce the word "logic" somewhat like "Blitzkrieg"😂.

lol - I was using auto on ETS2 - because the DAF is an auto. Yeah, I hear most people float gears in semi trucks.

The PS4 version has 5 more buttons for functions (the dial+2, the button in the dial+1, the 3 buttons at the bottom rather than 1 +2)

I have a Track IR for game that support it. For games that don't support Track IR, I just use my mouse to look around. Its really not too bad.

A lot of people are complaining that CSIO is not replying to their e-mails and that it takes 6+ months (if not longer) for them to receive the shifter.
Again: I personally have been using the CSIO SKRS for quite some time and I have had no problems with it or CSIO (so far).

Pls don't forget, that not all people on this planet are native English speakers. So even if it's intuitive to you to pronounce "logic" like an English word, in a lot of other languages it's pounced differently, often closer to the Greek "logos". To be stupid and to not know about the English pronunciation of a word are two different things. I'm German, so I would probably pronounce the word "logic" somewhat like "Blitzkrieg"😂.
These guys were English, American, and Australian.

nice first look and all - but! the name isnt based on "logic" its based on the french word for Software/Program - logiciel since logitech started out as a Software Company (based in switzerland) - anyway, feel free to pronounce it any way you want :P who cares
