There is no greater noise than hearing Kevin manipulating the hell out of the tremolo bar. Amazing how he can make this sound like an orchestra of guitars.
@@meowzer999 Yep ! No worries ! It was an open air festival...In 1992, the band toured France to promote "Loveless" but I didn't attend any gig, after reading that the sound level at the end of each concert was similar to the one of a plane taking off... In May 1989, after a "Killing Joke" concert at the National Kilburn, London, I ended deaf for 3 days...!
One of my favorite songs ever. The guitar texture is otherworldly, the synths bouncing off of each other. It all sounds like a huge orchestra. I wish there were tabs for this song online I really want to know what tuning this song is in.
What a quality. This is the highest quality I've heard of this masterpiece. Lots of thanks brenan6 !!! You've really done a huge favor to society. Greetings from Mexico.
There is a lot of energy radiating from this track. I know I've heard this before, possibly apart from Human Steps. Does anyone know if this was credit music for some film?
Ok my theory is left brain/right brain, stereo sounds too perfect and becomes bland. Wasnt it John Lennon who said every song needs some imperfection to be memorable. Mono makes it all hit both ears at once, is less perfect than stereo, therefore more memorable. Something like that...?
I agree, and I'm sort of a purest, and I'll admit I took liberties in expanding this to a mock stereo track. However, as arrogant as this might sound, I think this is the most impactful take on it... blows me away, and until Kevin releases this officially, its what I'm gunna jam to.
The stereofied version is cool, definitely sounds bigger than the mono one. Check out the real stereo version I found though. ua-cam.com/video/2kTMEr77UnY/v-deo.html
Because it likely wasn't made in mono, and that only rip that leaked was a mono version. So i took some liberties. I added a very slight delay, within the same tempo of the song so give it a wider stereo field. I did so with full disclosure and linked to the original.
Would love if the next MBV record was like this.
I wish
Too
Shields said one of the two new ones is more experimental...if it's ever released

If only it was that simple. I hear the sampler loudest, then the bass, and finally the guitar (with whammy bar) in the background.
Guitar and guitar and guitar and guitar! It goes on and on...What would be the world without Kevin Shields???
It could go on for hours and I'd never get tired of it
@@meowzer999 Same for me ! Saw MBV live at the Reading Festival in August 1989, and I still do remember it !!!

Pure majesty
Most of loveless is mixed in mono; that's what Shields prefers.
There's a case to be made that the overall sound is more immense in a mono mix - at least with his sonic choices.
Left brain/right brain confusion, stereo is...
(in a Yoda voice...?)

actually beautiful
I feel the Universe shake
I may have cried when Louise danced to this song during the finale of 2. Just hearing it now gives me goosebumps.
Amazing. This track is definitely missing her performance.

Nice sound quality! Many thanks, I've gone from bad quality, to OK, to very good, now.

was too late i guess, now it's gone.
willing to give a download?
anybody know what tuning this song is in?
Wavr tune I know that it’s been 2 years since you posted this but I think he’s putting a capo on the 7th fret
X minor diminished

why would you upload it in stereo if it was made in mono
