3D CAB SIM
Amped Dual features a 3D cabinet simulator that allows you to mix and match cabinets to dial in your tone. You can move the mics from the middle to the edge of the speaker, front or back and even angle mics to get a beefier sound. Choose from 5 cabinets and 4 microphone options or load in your own IRs.
PEDALBOARD
This plugin features a pedalboard with studio quality effects pedals: Noise Gate, Compressor, Drive Pedal, Chorus, Analog Delay and Reverb.

Yes! Bring back guitar tones with actual personality.
When you hear the Dual - you usually know what amp it is. I have to say I agree with you - I much prefer to have an amp that has "a thing that it does".
Love it. We're so used to hearing a recto with a boost in front of it, it's easy to forget how Orange-like the native gain is. Like a wool sweater, haha. And for these aughts-ere tones, boosting and tightening the low end doesn't get quite as THICC as those sounds were.
This was a really cool walkthrough.
Thanks man! Never forget 2000. 😄
Hell yes nu metal is back! thank you mikko for bringing it back for us! can't wait to try this one out!!
That's awesome buddy! Let me know what you think. 😄
"That's a paddlin"
I'd love to see a video on Korn's current tone (or even one on their progression of tones through the years), since this is definitely aiming at their early tone.
Corrosion Of Conformity. That's this sound. Just plug in and jam ALBATROS!! lol I'm getting this one. Awesomeness Miko! You've done it again.
This was awesome!
This is awesome
Limp Bizkit's sound is the best guitar sound I've ever heard. Thank you 1000 times for this amp.
Now bring please Rammstein to the world
I always loved Nu Metal and I will always love it 🤘
Oh yeah! 🔥
Te juroooo perfecto para el nu metal
Sounds a lot better than my recordings with my triple rectifier 😰
Any chance you'd add some better knob options for this plugin? The controls on-screen look just as unreadable as the real Recto knobs.
“Because PRS guitars are the best guitars on the planet” *mouths ‘call me Paul’ with phone gesture*
No one ever even contests when I say that. PRS #1!
You can get Nevermore - Dead Heart In A Dead World with the OD pedal.
Need to give this one a try!
My go to amp settings
Treb and bass at 6, mids at 4, max gain.
Sounds like it'd be a riot! 🤘

Wow, I missed this release. While indeed no plugin even comes close to recreating the low end of the dual rectifier out of the box, the correct approach is to feature a section of a speaker impedance response curve IR to every speaker out there to have between the amp section and the cab section. As an example, I can easily get the Rectifier Korn tone out of the free fluff ml evh plugin and a wall of sound ir with another instance of wall of sound in between loading a speaker impedance response curve, but I can't do that with this plugin. I am almost exclusively playing real Rectifiers with 7 strings and in the plugin world I can also recreate 99% of that dual rectifier low end sound by using the correct speaker impedance IR for the cab IR I am using. Fractal also are the only ones that do truly recreate the recto nu metal sound because they have both negative feedback emulations critical to the recto and also speaker impedance response curves built in, the latter being the most important to getting the recto sound. So the key I think is not to provide an amp sim with an eq that is heavier on the bass spectrum of the sound (because that sacrifices the correct sharp attack when picking) but to feature that critical correct response between the amp stack and the cab stack. Cool release anyway by the way.
What's on your tuning pegs on the 3rd guitar???
Nu metal is 🔥
Ahhh Mikko, great amp sim but was hoping to get a discount code so I could grab it! I received an email with a coupon code for 20% but it would not work because I have only bought one other ML Sound Lab amp sim. :-(
bro are you using heavy distortion pedals?
i bought 2 full licence from ml sound, my pc boke ... did i really need to rebuy licence or there'S a way to transfer it ?
As Mustafa mentioned, just drop me an email at support@ml-sound-lab.com or use the contact form on our website. I'll help you out!
Does Dual has an FX toggle like the rest of the amp sims? Haven’t been able to locate it
There was a lot of confusion about that switch for many people so we decided to just get rid of it. 😆
@@mlsoundlab a switch I would love if you could implement it is an on off switch for the whole cab section^^ Or did I miss that?
@@dubiousdaydream1695 You can go to the cab section and bypass them in the drop down menu!
@@mlsoundlab it was useful for switching to lead and clean sounds, but that's understandable.
Mikko, is there a plan to somehow use Amped amp sim A with the built in cabs from Amped B? I would love to see a single amped plugin and buy the individual licenses!
Anyways! Keep it up man!
Please make a bass amp sim using Vorna!!!
Honestly I couldn't get past you feeding the metal snob stereotypes. Nu metal is awesome, the bands you listed are awesome, and anyone that thinks otherwise needs to take the corncob out of where the sun don't shine.
can you explain a hatebreed sound please
I'd say this is a spot-on emulation of a Dual Rectifier, and that's for better or worse; alot of people are expecting a tighter chug in the bottom end especially with the OD pedal, but Rectifiers were always kinda a flubby beast; digital models often reimagined or idealized the Rectifier sound into something a little different. This Recto is gnarly and pissed off. Also, if you aren't EQing out the sub lows and the high fizz....why not?
NU METAL = PRS + Dual Rect..Yeah \m/
I wonder if this particular modeled Rectifier sounds the same. I NEVER heard a high gain amp that sounds so bad while chugging. Not a single bit of saturation...even with a TS in front. Strange....
5:25 Linkin Park never used palm mutes at any point in their career? Not 100% accurate but largely correct. First thing that immediately came to mind was the intro to One Step Closer but after that I could not think of a 2nd example after giving it another 30 seconds of thought haha
Well, Nobody's Listening got some serious palm muting going on if that counts
Should have kept the bass higher the first time wez has chugs and gallops
0:13 Mission Impossible theme?😂
5:39 actually Linkin Park plays in Drop C# tuning, not standard. just wanna correct you with a fun fact, dude.
Guess in hipster now
Linkin Park has some songs with palm mutes Mikko!

@@Travelstone88 Thanks for letting me know - new album :O
sounds nothing like a mesa?
i agree sounds like a fuzz pedal. love ML but this is not for me.
I think turning down the master volume would've been helpful while not using a boost to tighten it up. Because after the 2-3 point on the volume, it starts just adding power amp distortion. And having both power amp distortion combined with preamp distortion to this level can become a bit of an issue.
3 dolla bill y’all
flubby bass
Agree…strange sound..something doesn’t work…
If there's one amp known for flubby bass............ highly recommend you listen to those real recordings for the riffs I played here. They're just as flubby.
@@mlsoundlab yeah man but the problem is that remains flubby even with a boost, man I'm Not joking or making fun cause I wanted to buy this but basically I think the recto on roots is way better. Maybe it's only me but it seems others like me have this issue. If you see the demo on sonic drive studios you can listen and hear that that dual rec is way tighter even without an overdrive and that sound is awesome because yeah is a little bit flubby like every rectos but not that fuzzy like this one and I can't stress enough I'm not hating I'm actually a fan of ml sound lab, I own the full version of roots, ark and ml800 and they are all very good, but this one man deluded me so badly. Peace and love to all ❤
@@tbnbfm8089 Exactly!
Omg please reduce gain.
anything greater than 5 is itchy...
Nu metal.
RATM publicly apologized for Nu-Metal. That's actually the equivalent of The Stooges apologizing for Punk Rock. The only difference? Punk Rock didn't freaking SUCK!
"I did it all for the nookie"...
Is a sad soggy butter white angst cookie of fail IMO.
A literal cultural snickerdoodle without the freakin' hardcore cinnamon sprinkles.
AKA? A baker's dozen of trash...
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ratm didn't even close to NU Metal,Korn create it and yeah goes straightforward insulting Limp Bizkit cuz there's a lot of other NU Metal band that actually GREAT RIGHT? But ofc u don't want to recognize em "tHeY'rE nOt Nu MeTaL tHeY'rE aLtErNaTiVe MeTaL" typical basic BS argument, what a loser.
