  • A summery paper bead video for you to celebrate summer where you are, or if isn't summer for you, let this be a reminder of the summer to come.
    These paper beads are made using my exclusive "china" bead strip designs which I am giving away as free printables over on my website:
    www.funcraftst...
    They are available in A4 and US letter sizes. All you need to do is download the ones you want, print them off onto 180gsm photo paper (glossy or matte) and follow my paper bead rolling tutorial.
    The paper beads are very easy to make and when finished the way I do in this tutorial, they really do look like china beads.
    I also show you in this paper bead video,how I make the necklace heavy and substantial, even though it is made with paper beads.
    The paper bead strips are easy to cut once you have printed the design off because I include very clear cut lines to follow.
    At the end of this craft tutorial, I show you a few examples of other videos on my channel, many of which also have free printables you may enjoy using.
    Here are links to the videos I have included in this craft tutorial - they are in the order they appear in this video:

    I just finished making 36 of these beads. Think I’ll just play with them for awhile before making something. Love them although mine aren’t real straight/perfectly lined up.

      Excellent! Getting them straight just takes practice - although I have days where mine are off too. It’s usually when I am going to fast or not paying attention 🤪 Thanks for watching and leaving a comment🙏💕

      Hi Deniz, I know! I thought that when I said it - not everyone is in summer right now. But so envious that you will be moving into spring very soon! I’m not a winter person and am so sad that we are almost into autumn already. Autumn is lovely but winter is so dreary here. Thanks for watching and for your lovely comment. What have you been doing? Any new projects/videos on the go? Take care🙏💕

      Yes about to do another one soon and the paper beading and jewelry is coming along nicely so nice to get back into it after a loooonngggggg break ... Being a nurse in a pandemic hasn't been fun now that I'm 50 it's all about me hahhaha ...and yes autumn and spring are my favourites .. the height of summer here can be a bit full on with the heat waves at times . These paper beads are so elegant, I can’t wait to make some. I have watch lots of tutorials on making paper beads and notice some people dip their beads in a wood hardener called PC Petrifier before glazing, have you ever tried it ? Xx

    • @RainbowLane
      @RainbowLane  Рік тому

      Hi again Chris, thank you, you’ll have fun making them, especially if you do use the wood glue. Yes I do use it but I just use the stuff from the diy stores in the uk. Any wood glue seems ok - you get a very hard finish. Thanks so much for watching, it is much appreciated. 🙏💕

    • @RainbowLane
      @RainbowLane  Рік тому +1

      I’m guessing that stuff you mentioned is something different to wood glue? Thanks for the tip, I will look for it - it might be something that is only available stateside though. 💕

    Have you ever tried UV resin as used in UV Nail Polish? If so how did you find the results?

    • @RainbowLane
      @RainbowLane  9 місяців тому

      Hi Terry, yes I have and the results were good - but I don’t use resin very often because of the health hazard it poses, even using a good mask. The smell lingers in the house and I just don’t feel comfortable using it. Do you use it? It’s wonderful stuff as far as the finish you can get on projects but after watching a video on here by a young woman who was very ill from not using resin in a ventilated area, it really made me question whether it’s worth any risk there may be. Thanks so much for watching and reaching out. 🙏❤️
