Watching Movies With The Sound off and circles are honestly some of the best hip hop and r&b records in history, and i am not just saying that because i like him, i actually used to find his music kind of mediocre prior to my deep dive into his discography. His talent and approach to songs like 100 grandkids and good news is expressed from the voice of a true artist. he has thousands of unreleased records and music and has demonstrated his proficiency in many mediums. I'm kind of confused by your choice as well because mac has been an extremely consistent artist in terms of progression and change, all of his albums are an experience and dynamic view of his perspective at the time and usually link to some sort of allegorical story. If this tier list was just S-F, id at least put Eminem in the A tier at least, but because the criteria includes consistency I can't really argue with that.
the criteria includes consistency but it’s literally JUST consistency. like the man has arguably the greatest 3 album run of all time. this is not invalidated by 3 subpar albums. his middle discography is very solid as well. really aside from revival and encore he has no trash album
@@slomo6054 to me your statement is only true for the stans/hardcore fanbase, and even within that there are fans who would call encore and revival great. The broader hiphop community doesn't really care about the albums after TES and definitely wouldn't call the Recovery era 'solid'. It had some great moments but overall is seen as a mixed bag AT BEST. Even something later on like Kamikaze which got huge attention, I can only look back and cringe at his lyrics about 'mumble rap' and how it fueled one of the most obnoxious stereotypes in both artists and fans. As for the 'greatest 3 album run thing' i can name some who have better. Kendrick being the easiest. Unfortunately Slim Shady lp hasnt aged all that well even if its still one of his better albums and Section 80 is just a much better product to me. MMLP i'd put up there with TPAP and GKMC with TES trailing behind. Kendrick's later projects have also not taken such a huge dip in quality compared to em. Kanye, Jay, Outkast, Tribe, Doom, all had runs as impressive or better than Em's and those are just the artists off the top of my head. Heck, even Dre's 2 classics overshadow his 3 imo. Eminem could still be one of the GOATs in hiphop, but his entire discography holds him back a lot compared to his peers. Even Nas who also doesnt have the strongest discog came out with his King's Disease albums which were widely celebrated outside of his own fanbase.
@@tofuteh2348 you bring up a lot of good points, some of which i disagree with. even tho SSLP didn’t age all that well, i’d still put it above DAMN and Section 80. I’d say Section 80 is more comparable to Infinite tbh, wherein I wouldn’t count it as part of kendrick’s 3 album run, and would rather put DAMN there. tbh, I think if DAMN never existed and kendrick’s 3 album run was GKMC-MM&TBS he’d hold that crown for me. Recovery is one of Em’s weaker albums but it’s significance to his discography, the rap sphere at the time, and just how powerful and inspirational it feels makes it decent at the very least. besides, he followed that up with HTS with Royce, a solid effort. MMLP2 is the closest he came to capturing that old magic, and i think most hip hop fans will tell you that. Relapse aged beautifully and came to be recognized as a good somewhat experimental album. Kamikaze produced a very toxic mindset for many hip hop fans but i understand his motivation behind making it. MTBMB is a pretty good album imo. a step in the right direction, although there’s still a lot to fix. Don’t think it’s fair to compare group/duo discographies to solo artists. Jay’s discography is just as if not more inconsistent than em’s imo. the same can be said for Nas, although his 2020s run is truly some of the best shit i’ve ever seen in hip hop. can’t tell you how much i enjoyed that. at the end of the day, i guess this somewhat depends on what you value most in assessing an artist. you might say discography, while i opt for high points. I just haven’t seen an artist release 2 back to back 10/10s like MMLP and TES. i think GKMC is a high 9.
@@tofuteh2348 i’d also like to mention that Eminem has a peculiar case of being extremely overhated and over-scrutinized. if people went through wayne’s music with just as fine a tooth comb they’d find an abundance of corny lines. same with nas. it’s just that when eminem does it, it’s enough to invalidate the quality of a whole song if not album. he gets a lot of flack when he drops a mediocre album compared to someone like ice cube, snoop dogg, or wayne himself.
@@slomo6054 the biggest reason why i didnt mention mmlp2 is that unfortunately a lot of the general hiphop audience seems to have missed it/ forgot it exists for some reason. Bit of a tangent but I'd take Recovery era Em over the current one. While it was rocky for sure, something like his Forever and No Love verses still had a good combination of flow, cadence and technicality that doesnt get TOO technical to the point of it being a crossword puzzle or a pun buffet. He's definitely over-scrutinized but that does kinda come with the territory of an artists his size. Folks like snoop or dre dont really get that much scrutiny because they didnt start marketing themselves as being extremely lyrical but its definitely more so on other aspects like people have higher expectations of beat quality when dre is involved, while em as a producer has an up and down track record but nobody really gives him shit for it bc thats not what is expected

WORST LIST IVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE, Dude put Wayne in Nearly Flawless instead of GOAT, The Best Rapper Of All Time, IDGAF What Nobody Says🤦🏾♂️
Auto-Tuned Wayne was kinda mid
i honestly think mac miller is pretty S tier in my opinion, especially with the amount of flawless experimental records he produced for his age, it's almost hard to not give him the spot, he kinda lived and breathed music man.
And although i respect your opinion (because everyone has one) you strike me as someone who hasn't really listened to all of his albums or music in all honesty.
Totally agreed
Nah
@@jennieguardian7094Brilliantly formulated argument well done
Agreed he’s more deserving of it than most of the others in that tier
Seeing KYLE, lil xan, Bhade Bhabie being above MF DOOM had me put my contacts in because I couldn’t believe what kind of bullshit I was seeing
btw if you didn’t know, mojave and shawn arent cool anymore. mojave pulled some greedy ass copyright scheme on shawn. Unsubscribe from mojave if you haven’t already
I call cap
@@s1ckboy_1 look it up bruh there's a video of shawn saying it on youtube
Whoever made that list is trolling lmao. MF DOOM and lil mosey in the same category? 🤣
Peep and Lil B need to be higher. They can BOTH rap
putting juice wrld that low is criminal
fr tho
Nah not really
@@UndyingHatred_ crazy 🦧
@@grogu411 yes it is, nobody asked you tf.
lil peep hate is wild mane ppl prolly aint even listen to him fr that hate on him, bro has so much music i refuse people hate absolutely all of it
sorry but just because he tragically passed away doesnt make his music any less garbaggio
It’s fine to dislike his stuff but I feel like a lot of people discredit how influential his music is
@@maazwaseem8313 i dont believe its garbage though at all, even if some of it isnt your thing i do really recommend taking a listen to some of his other songs as he had a really wide discography. songs like gym glass and come around are amazing
@@desihayward2510 exactly
He was influential in a terrible way
Mojave diss track when? 😳
chief keef needs to be a tier higher. To be agreeable yes he's dropped so much that there's bound to be so bad songs and the bad songs it's really terrible but one thing you can't say about chief keef is he copying anyone, and he got some gems too like "two zero one seven" a lot of them tracks hit, dedication,Mansion musik, Bang 3,4NEM and some others im probably missing. You gotta think man Chief keef influence aside just the quality of the music the production bro this was a 16 year old kid that learned how to produce, graphic design, and market music damn near on his own sosa been producing since 2013( probably before just the earliest i know)for his own projects and other artists bro got some fire ass features like the ones off fredo 2 for fredo santana. Imma fight for this tier i'll die on this hill🤣
i agree with the majority of the list, but some artists shouldn't be where they were put. i would put X at least one spot up, same goes for yb and lil peep should be either higher or in not a fan.
Logic has a lot more highs than lows personally. Especially if you add the Young Sinatra tapes. Personally I have him over big sean
His highs are still decent at best. Not memorable in any sense. And he has about 8-9 lows
@@MrASAPAB I gotta disagree with that. The only lows to me personally are COADM and supermarket. Other than that his lowest rating albums are at least 6-7/10. To me he has three eights being Under Pressure, The Incredible True Story, and No Pressure.
@@Stardropreacts come on man. Bobby Tarantino 3,2,1 are all awful as well so are his first two mixtapes along with everybody.
Disagree I liked his recent album, but his lows definetly stand out the most imo
Lil Xan and Bhad Bhabie above MF Doom is crazy
Why do people hate Logic?? I think he is one of the best rappers of this last decade. I don't Joyner Lucas, or Hopsin either, but I just don't understand. I get that people call him corny and stuff, but I don't think he's corny. I just think he's great
Bro has more good albums than bad so idk
He suffers from biracialitis
I honestly think it’s all in the presentation. He’s also a victim of the fast rap is the worst thing ever made trend going on right now which kinda took a lot of decent and even pretty damn good rappers and shoved them into the toilet. It’s real weitd
without future there is no future. Nobody wants to be drake, EVERYBODY wants to be future
Thank you for that comment about Chance people don't really understand that sometimes your favorite rapper dropped a bad album and you defended it (I didn't defend the big day I trashed it so i'm guilty too) but I didn't say he fell off the dude made two of my top 15 favorite albums of all time maybe top 10 like he's still that dude
Yeah, saying he fell off is nuts, he’s had some good singles since then and damn near every other project he’s had outside of The Big Day were dope
@@TyBoogzz one of my favorites for sure
Juice gotta at least be in 2nd to top teir

MF Doom is on the S Tier.
I've used this exact tier list and I got scared for a minute thinking it was mine lol

Eminem and Jay-Z it shouldn't even be on this list they are above goats
there’s no shot he was trying to say doris when he was talking about earl - doris has Hive, Chum, Woah, Sunday, Molasses, Guild, like bro
i’m a diehard earl fan who has been listening consistently since hearing him on oldie and i didn’t even love Feet of Clay, yet he’s saying the ONLY project he didn’t like was doris
ye alright cu

i clicked on this video and the first thing i saw was cupcakke and rapsody in the same tier... i have never been so shocked in my life
yeah after Eminen I stoped watching 😂
To put Nicki Minaj in the same category as Cupcake let alone Cardi B is crazy she washed Kanye and Jay Z on they own song😂‼️
MF DOOM is an S tier. Maybe an XS tier. The illest villain has good music, multiple personas, and he cares more about his music than his fame
Mc ride should’ve gotten his own category
This tier was a B- at best or a C+.
• Lil’Wayne should be in the GOAT conversation
• Eminem should be in the GOAT conversation or at least Very talented
• Nicki Minaj is very talented
• J.Cole and Drake should be in the Very talented
freddie should be in the GOAT convo fr sure

Shawn said he’s striking Mojave whenever he posts now since he didn’t even listen to his new rules he gave him.

Lil Xan and Bhad Bhabie being above MF DOOM is crazy.
That’s what I’m saying, Even lil Yachty, g Herbo and lil baby is above him it’s crazy
Juice wrld has never dropped a bad song

Aesop Rock, El- P, MF DOOM, being where they are is an insult to hip-hop. This HAS to be a 16 year old.
Anyone who thinks MF DOOM is an awful rapper should never be allowed to listen to Rap or Hip Hop ever again.
