Well made video-congratulations. I live in North Wales but I fish when I can for salmon and sea trout near Durham. I believe there are big barbel there, too but I've not heard of chub. I've never caught or even seen a chub or barbel-we don't have any near here. I think I might have a go now I've seen how you do it !
Nice chub mate I fish the wear near the rose tree pud in Shincliffe and near the bridge av had a few massive chub about 6 pound and a few of about 2 n 3
Close seasons in Northumbria byelaw area The close season for: salmon is 1 November to 31 January sea trout is 1 November to 2 April all non-migratory trout on rivers, streams, drains and canals, and for brown trout on all waters other than enclosed stillwaters, is 1 October to 21 March Hi sea trout will be starting there migration up our North Eastern river in the lower section now. We I fished years ago for them I'd usual start in June fishing fly at night but if there a good flood from now and through summer this will bring them up to Durham area's sooner where they can be caught on spinners.
