I myself like the idea of refillable bottles but it also destroys the trust in purchasing anything used online, like on Mercari for instance, it's too easy to switch out juice and for someone who has no idea what the fragrance is supposed to smell like they'd get shafted, the world is full of shady people 😕
You put me on to Club Black and I used the entire bottle in like a month 😂 I have to buy a backup next purchase because this will definitely be in my Fall/Winter rotation. Surprisingly, it worked amazing in the summer heat even when it hit the 90s! For how amazing it smells I’m so grateful it’s such a cheapie! This could easily sell under a designer house in a private blend for $800 *cough cough insanely priced Estée Lauder/Tom Ford I’m definitely looking forward to trying these. Love when houses create anthologies. But also the bottles are pretty lovely!
Land and Air sound interesting, not into designers anymore but they might worth a try. Did you see that there's a newer MB collection? AMG collection all by Fabrice Pellegrin. Thanks for the review Sebastian!!!
Finally got around to trying Porthole from the kit. Really loving it. Defiantly my favourite of the bunch. Hopefully it’ll be available here in Canada by next summer because it’s very much a summer frag to me (and I hate having to import).
I despise seaweed, both as a note and a food. Anyone that has an aversion to seafood will have that reaction. Anyone that grew up on a beach will also get turned off by "realistic" sea notes vs. something like aquozone. I don't have fond memories of being in fetid marshes at low tide in the summer.

Love FM Synthetic Jungle from Anne Flipo, got a 10ml travel size first, then a 50ml a month after. High expectations to try her MB now 😊
Yes me too. These are certainly a lot easier to wear than Synthetic Jungle, just an fyi. I have heard from so many that they don't like Synthetic Jungle. Go figure.
I have never smelled a aquatic sea fragrance that I liked. The only marine scent I like is from the ocean lol! I live at the coast and in my opinion none of the marine fragrances smell like the actual ocean. Also I wouldn’t want to smell like the sea because all I have to do is go outside to smell an actual ocean 🌊🤷🏼♀️ I’m anxious to get my nose on Air 😊👍🏼
Both you and a friend say the same thing. From Monterey and they haven't been able to find a scent that smells like the sea air in Monterey. Yes I agree with you both! :)
I live on the coast as well. Felt the same until I stumbled on Bvlgari Aqva Pour Homme Marine. I swear it smells just like a walk along the central coast of California. In a good way.
@curtchaffee Completely agree! I'd give it San Louis Obispo... Carmel by the Sea requires a bit of Red Lion leather & Oak, at least for me... and Monterey Bay needs Cypress for a giant leaning tree and the minerality of millions of smooth stones... if not something from the Aquarium and the otters and lions who run the place... or even some Cannery Row nuances! Yeah, I'm that old.
