And I've felt torture, I've felt pain
Just like that film with Michael Caine
I've been abused and I've been confused
And I've kissed Margaret Thatcher's shoes
And I been high and I been low
And I don't know where to go
Birth, school, work, death
Birth, school, work, death
And heroin was the love you gave
From the cradle to the grave
Boys and girls don't understand
The devil makes work for idle hands
I cut myself but I don't bleed
'Cause I don't get what I need
Doesn't matter what I say
Tomorrow's still another day
Birth, school, work, death
Birth, school, work, death
Yeah I been high and I been low
And I don't know where to go
I'm living on the never never never
This time it's gonna be forever
I'll live and die don't ask me why
I want to go to paradise
And I don't need your sympathy
There's nothing in this world for me
Birth, school, work, death
Birth, school, work, death
Birth, school, work, death
Birth, school, work, death
Birth, school, work, death
Birth, school, work, death
I saw these guys at the old Ritz in NYC in 1988- The place is now Webster Hall. Building still looks the same. Had a good time that night.
Great gig in Zagreb yeaterday. What a energy!!! Thank you!!! 🎶🎸
The cycle of life.
I bought the 12" vinyl of this song in the late 80's.
Succinct and poignant message.
It's a bit blurry now, but I think I saw them at Selina's Coogee Bay Hotel, Sydney.
" Cause I Said So " is another powerful song by them.
They were off the chain LIVE in concert.
So were the crowd, bloody wild.
Great band.

Truthfully said !everything said in this song we have all lived / felt in our lives!
this band was a miraculous revelation in my 20ies. it was right after the iron curtain fall, the world of independent music flooded my life. and i still like them a lot, especially this album.
+gaarq hard to believe that a whole new generation has grown up without a wall or a curtain between them and the rest of the world..
Birth school work death...one of my favorite versus
Some things u don't appreciate till later. This band is one of those. Great guitar sound, killer songs.
Saw them in Oz in late 80s and they tore it up. Love these blokes!
Perfection.
I bought the cassette just for this song in the 80's. I still listen to it. The mark of a great song is its longevity. This is just a great rockin song.
Great music, great image, great attitude and fucking great band logo.
a beautiful song that I remember well
it''s the guitars...the magnificent quick riffing back and forth between guitars. I think this band is going to do really well.
Are they getting any pop-radio airtime yet?
The title is life in a nutshell. Thank goodness there's great music like this to fill the voids along the way!
This is amazing art. I like that there is no swearing and it hits so bloody hard. You just can't play this loud enough.
I totally agree ,there's so much raw emotion and energy to this brilliant song ,definitely in my top one hundred fav tracks 👍👍
And yet Rolling Stone didn’t rank these two guitarists. These lads rocked!
Legende, u Zagrebu imaju kultni status !
They opened up for Living Colour in 89, I think... both bands rocked the house.
as i read my bible more i'm re-understanding the '80s... this song is straight new age testimonial. how and why pop culture doesn't talk about the christian aspect of music is just amazing...
Back in the day when MTV was EVERYTHING
they had the clash feel to them
